I just realized that I really miss you. How is your tiny human doing? May we please have another video soon? Your humor is second to none. You could just leave us voice memos even, if making a video is a bit much, at this time in your life. I hope you and your family are well and very happy
This comment literally made me make a new video. Thank you for the encouragement,. My family is all well thank you James, and I hope you are doing well yourself!
So happy to have another video from you. Your videos and photos are so interesting and fun at the same time - so good to watch. You guys have been to such beautiful places and its so nice to share this with the viewers. Can’t wait for the next one - please don’t leave it too long!❤
Those chrome lenses are so charming. Supposedly less flare resistant, but it's almost like shooting into a filter that makes the color photos feel like the '60s or something. Just spectacular. And combined with black and white ... so stunning.
It is only the C version lenses that you need to unlock aperture and shutter speed. for the newer CF, CFi,CFE versions its default on unlock, and you press a button for aperture and shutter speed to move together
Man I love me some square format images and you got some beauties in there 👌Those images looked super sharp too. Never realised the lens worked with that clutch system, just another old camera thing to play around with haha Glad to hear your enjoying it, keep up the shooting man I think we all get those ruts from time to time. Push through ✌
Thanks so much man. Yeah ruts are tricky ones hey, this one feels overwhelming to be honest. I feel like most of the things I've been shooting have been for IG and not for me... if that makes sense. It's been a lot better getting off these platforms and just enjoying the process. Thanks for the kind words as well. Hopefully we will get to shoot our 6x6s together out in Ireland or somewhere one day!
@@thefilmdaddy Yeah totally get it, it's difficult especially when you want to make videos at the same time too. I agree, I really don't shoot enough myself when I'm not making a video or thinking about Instagram, but every time I do I always think I really need to do this more often. That sounds like a plan. I'm sure we will cross paths at some point on our travels and your damn right we will be exposing some frames ;)
First congratulations for winning a beautiful and very special camera. You took great photos. Just one thing. The C/M Is not centimeters... C probably for the new Compur shutter that this camera used. The M is for modified. Because you can modify all most everything
The C is for the Compur shutter and the M is for the interchangeable focusing screen that can be done by the user instead of taking it to a shop as in the 500C.
You are the only person I know or have heard of who has ever won anything. :D and then immediately a hasselblad. congratulations! I'm curious whether you will prefer over a longer period of time rather the hasselblad or the mamiya. The little human has now become a mini human. 😄
No joke I've been lucky with giveaways my whole life. I won my first cellphone, a lego competition when I was a kid and now this camera. I should start playing the lotto. Also, with the hasselblad vs mamiya, the mamiya is definitely sharper. Even though the hasselblad is still pretty damn sharp, the mamiya is just on another level of sharpness. But I've only tested the hasselblad for a short while, more testing is required!
Thank you Brendon, I am very happy you are enjoying the Hasselblad 500CM, keep on taking great photos. If I may ask you was the Black & White film stock you used?
I'm very grateful for my luck's ability to bring this incredible camera. It will not be taken for granted that's for sure... but I will still keep calling it the 500 Centimetre 😂
I won twenty dollars once, a Hassie would be pretty cool.

No pressure 😂 Thanks Mama! They are a mission to make, but I'm always glad to have finished one partly so y'all can see what we've been doing!
That's one gorgeous camera, and those are some beautiful stills!
Ay thank you so much!
Dude great vid as always! So glad you were able to win that beautiful hassy! I loved the first B&W photo and the night photo at the end!
Thanks so much, man! Appreciate it as always. I'm gonna shoot you a DM right now actually now I remembered something...
@@thefilmdaddy haha totally forgot about that until you posted this vid😂
Nice one Brend love the pics especially the 8 second exposure
Thank you papa!
Well worth the wait! Another excellent video with some rad shots. Thought i was stepping into a Wes Anderson movie with the one on the beach.
Wow, thanks, Josh! Hope you're keeping well man. I'd love to see some of your new work if you've made any! Send it to me on IG DM!

Thank you so much Jamie! Loving the Hasselblad so far, and this 50mm is incredible.
Yes sir!! Congrats on that gorgeous Hasselblad and I can't wait for your upcoming videos! Cheers
Thank you so much for watching, more to come soon!
You were so lucky 😂 that Hassie is on good hands 😌 love how you turned the Bruges videos B&W as well to match the film photos. So timeless~
Thanks Bon! Very lucky indeed, its a fantastic little thing thus far.
Congrats on winning this amazing camera! Beach shot was quite amazing :)
Thank you so much, I loved that one in particular. Big inspiration from Joel Meyerowitz!

Was hoping you'd upload again soon, and here we go! Hope you beat the rut-- can't wait to see the videos you mentioned at the end!
Ah man thank you as always. Appreciate that. Excited to share more!
Great video and congrats, sir, you deserve it! 😊
Ayyy Brad! Thank you so much man, I appreciate that and hope you're doing well. Wanna trade this for your Leica? 😂
So good to see you back bro! That Hassie is 🔥
Thank you so much Nuno! Good to be back, and I'm excited for our meet-up later this year!

…as in Modified, as you said.
Thank you!
And.... I know, I'm just a silly man with silly thoughts.
I love my Hasselblad too. The square sort of grows on you after a bit and unlike some I've never really struggled to compose in the 6x6 square
It's my first 6x6! Love the different format so far after coming from mostly 35mm.

Nice video mate, Subbed and keen to see more 👍
Thanks man! Sorry for the late reply 😂 I get anxiety about the comment section!
Superbes images, très belle vidéo 👍 Très bel appareil photo pour prendre ces clichés de ces jolis endroits en France. Merci 🙏
J'aime beaucoup ton pays ! C'est difficile de faire une mauvaise photo en France. Merci pour les mots gentils!
Nice composition. Thanks for sharing. 😀
Many thanks!
Thank you Brendon, I am very happy you are enjoying the Hasselblad 500CM, keep on taking great photos.
If I may ask you was the Black & White film stock you used?
Hey George! Thank you so much, I was using Cinestill XX as the black and white in this video! I rather like that stock.
Damn dude so lucky! I could use some of that haha, very nice camera and photos.
I'm very grateful for my luck's ability to bring this incredible camera. It will not be taken for granted that's for sure... but I will still keep calling it the 500 Centimetre 😂
So crispy
Sharps as pins man!
You talk like a swarthy pirate, I love that.
This comment made me feel happy, and like a pirate so double win. Thank you.
O'Neill follow your instincts not trends. Stay focused, mate.
Thanks Fidel, will do so!
отличное видео, очень понравились снимки, особенно черно-белые. Спасибо
Thanks for that! Glad you enjoyed it!
Beautiful
Thank you! Cheers!
500 centimeter? :-D what the hell ?
That's the name alright.
haha I also call it 500 centimeters xDD such a dumb name for a camera
Love the old 500 series Hassy - but I wouldn't use it for work ...🦘
Agreed!
