Alejandro Medina sulfege is just the syllables we assign to the different degrees of the scale. Interval recognition is straight forward - it means being able to tell what interval is being played by ear.

I'm quite a bit older than you, and I've just today 4/24/201 started to set downing play. I'm most struggling with repertoire and technique, I've been playing 10yrs and I'm 16 now, everyone thinks I play well but I feel like I've been playing less than 10yrs due to the lack of these two things.

Start with daily technique exercises - scales, blocked chords, broken chords, arpeggios etc... this will get the fingers moving again in no time.
