In history, there HAVE been prosperous communist countries, there are also communist countries today, whos people are not being massacred, starved etc. And while yes stalinism is a form of communism, however when stalin was in power, it was very unpopular.
The United States have massacred millions of people, starved people, its done everything the soviet union has, its just much more under the radar as its censored. Theuve caused starvation in iraq, georgia, Afghanistan, parts of vietnam etc. Theyve slaughtered countless innocents in every recent war. Ita soldiers also commit countless war crimes which are kept under the radar. My father has witnessed American soldiers commit horrific war crimes.

Perhaps, depends on your definition of 'prosperous'. Does that sort of definition carry with it military strength? Economic prosperity? Cultural and social rise? The communist states that you are talking of only qualify for one of these three.
Secondly, the only country that really adheres strictly to the rules of communism is North Korea, and look how that is going? People are starving en masse inside its borders, and they literally have to force people in to prevent them from fleeing the shithole in droves. The rest of those so-called 'communist' countries have moved on from total communism, mostly because it only leads to social, cultural, and economic strife. Even the PRC has state capitalism in its coastal cities.

This does not change the fact that Stalinism is a form of communism. In other words, it is a totalitarian style of leadership that strips freedom from its citizens.

Really now? I will admit, the US is not perfect unfortunately, but it has done NOTHING like what the USSR or any other communist countries have done. The closest possible thing the US has done that is comparable to the horrors of communism is the forced removal of Native Americans (Trail of Tears), but the numbers of natives relocated does not exceed 100,000 even. I would like to see what sort of sources you are using to get your claim of the US massacring people

Your claims of the US causing starvation in Vietnam, Georgia (Seriously?), and Afghanistan are bullshit. However, there is evidence to suggest that the chaos caused by the Iraq War did cause starvation among some families in Iraq (www.theguardian.com/world/2005/mar/31/iraq.unitednations). While this is regrettable and unfortunate, the UN has been working on getting supplies to these people, something that no communist regime has done when presented with the opportunity.

I would not say that the US has 'slaughtered countless innocents' in its recent conflicts, as you would say. You're exaggerating the death toll of those caught in the crossfire (Again, an unfortunate consequence of war in general). Give me a source saying that the US had partaken in deliberate massacres or some sort of recent war crimes in some conflict, otherwise this is a ludicrous claim.
Tl:dr, post some goddamn sources to back your 'claims' up. All I see here is bullshit spouted by a sympathizer to a regime that has killed more human beings in history than any other.
@Западный Шпион I think I just described communism in general. Even after Stalin's death, succeeding Soviet leaders were very much hostile towards the west. If they were not as bad as Stalin, they would have taken down the Berlin Wall, opened up the Iron Curtain, and shut down the gulags early (Which wasn't done until 1960, and even then camps for political prisoners existed up until 1987 with Perm-36)
I did not mention that Stalin killed 100 million I mentioned that COMMUNISM killed around 100 million people. Stalin however has done more than his fair share of work in killing people:
*11 - 14 million exiled during forced collectivization and for being prosperous, many of whom ended up dying as a result
*6 - 7 million killed in the Holodomor
*1 million executed in the great terror of 1937-1938
Even before we get to WWII, Stalin has at this point killed close to 20 million (Using the higher estimates you actually do get 20 million). Add in the 20 million or so Soviet citizens who died as a result of the brutal tactics used by the Red Army, and you get a number that is close to 40 million.
Although brutal, I am willing to admit that Stalin was efficient at what he did. He took a starved, beaten Russia and turned it into an industrial power and then later a superpower. But you must ask yourself when looking at his actions: Was it worth it?
Even today, Russia is still feeling the effects of WWII and communism. Its population is shrinking, slowly but surely. Due to all the males who were killed either as a result of war and/or communism, where there should be new generations of Russians there is barely anything. Slowly, Russia is shrinking as a result of her communist past, and thats a fact.
