Sailing with whales. WAHOO hunt continues! // Hobie Tandem Adventure Island Fishing

Derek and I head over to North Stradbroke Island to try find the Wahoo that has been eluding me all year! Some very close calls while sailing with humpback whales and hook up with some big fish!

Epic catch and hook ups! My buddy just ordered a tandem island for us to use in South FL (he has a pro angler and I have an older, smaller Hobie now). So inspired after watching this video! Amazing content 👌

Another day in Paradise, but devastating :( Also, if you use the front bungee cord with the plastic hook on the end of it, to clip onto the sheet when the sail is furled, it will hold the sheet on the deck and out of the way.

Great tip mate.
I use that bungee cord to hold the front of my deck down. But with that in mind, I might add a second one to attach to the sheet when I'm not sailing. It definitely gets in the way when you are fighting a fish...

Yeah the only time I’ve seen a reel sing like that is when we caught our Wahoo, so yes I’d put money it. Similar location I think. Maybe you were slightly closer to Deadman’s Beach??
