You ask if "Just Not Into It" is a reason and I say just not into it is the best reason. If your not happy with the project in the beginning, where you are with that colorwork, you'll not be " into it" at a latter point of the project.
Love this video! When I have WIP that I don't want to work on, don't like how the colors are working, have a mistake i don't want to face, or no longer want the finished object, I don't even bother frogging. just cut the yarn, trash the project, put my tools away and throw the materials into my scrap stash. it's very rewarding and rejuvenating process and makes so much more brain space for taking forward the lessons of the scrapped project without the burdens. highly recommend.
Really enjoyed this episode! I am inspired to go through my wips and frog a few. I love your "Don't Look Up" sweater ...maybe you save it for when your doing something that is slightly out of character... hiking in the woods in winter? snuggling up in a mountain cabin? the colors are fall-ish. I feel it could have a place in your wardrobe.
So, your video prompted me to examine my WIPs. Marie Kondo's "Does it spark joy?" really resonates with me and caused me to frog almost all, save two, of my projects. I think that at heart I am really a monogamous knitter. I caked up all the yarn and now feel so much lighter about my knitting. Thank you for the motivation
Learning how to fix things well was the best gift I ever gave to my knitting self. I remember when I learned that frogging entire rows back wasn't necessary in order to access a mistake in knitting; mind blown. I'd recommend watching a few old school repair videos, now that you're so skilled. You might be surprised a what you can do to make repairs much easier/more accessible than they might have seemed when you first learned knit repair skills. Also, you probably have a lot of viewers who would be happy to purchase any unwanted knit wear that you made, if you had am online store. You have a solid following. Sometimes just finishing a knit is better for the spirit than frogging, even if it's going away.
Oh my gosh, Kristin, this inspired me to go diving into the uncharted waters of the UFOs in my basement. So far I’ve frogged three projects and reclaimed some long-lost needles in sizes I, yep, went out and bought more of. 😂

On the Anna Johanna “denim” tweed’ish top- have you considered overydyeing the top once finished? I’ve done that before and was quite satisfied with the results since I loved the pattern but not the color (like your situation).
I really enjoyed this video. So nice to see I'm not the only knitter with multiple projects languishing in the closet :). Have you ever thought about doing a video about the project bags you sewed? They are adorable. Thanks
I recently reflected on my WIP and ufo for both sewing and knitting. I came to some similar conclusions.
My reasons were:
- realising that a garment isn’t my style
- making a mistake and procrastinating the repair
- getting to a challenging bit and put it away either in frustration or with vague hope I’ll get inspiration
- realising I jumped on a bandwagon, and that the FO is nice but not something I want
Thanks for this video. The reasons why we fail can be quite illuminating and I hope that these revelations will lead to better choices in future.
I did my own audit of wips before we moved 3 years ago. The frogs went into their own box for later. The keeps went back into the cedar chest they came out of and I have not touched anything yet. I was too busy unpacking and working on getting the old house ready for sale all while caring for Mil and granddaughter. So I have a stockpile just waiting for this winter when I hope we get snow
I can relate to this episode! This month I reviewed my WIPs and frogged my Fade Boxy and another boxy sweater. It was a slog to do all that knitting and what a sense of relief to repurpose the yarn for something else.
Life is too short to knit projects you don’t love. I had that problem with the Felix pullover. I knit it after I’ve saw the one you knit. In didn’t love how it looked on me. Maybe it was the colors the style… who knows. But my sil is about my size so I gifted it to her for Christmas last year and she loves it. I’ve tried it again and hated the look again. So I ripped it out. I really want to like it. But maybe it’s just not for me lol.
I keep all my WIPs and UFOs in project bags hanging on a coat rack that I picked up from the Container Store. It sits in the corner of my craft room staring at me!
I have something I call “Finish it Friday” on Friday I’m not allowed to start anything new, I look for anything unfinished around the house including knit projects. It has cut down on my WIP items, in fact all I have unfinished right now is one hat that needs a matching set of mittens and one rogue mitten that needs a match.
When you showed the nightingale sweater I gasped, it is on my dream knit list 😍 I just fell in love with it and look for that issue of pom pom in every knit shop I visit
I love your project bags! I would like to sew some of my own, do you follow a pattern?
Your handmade project bags are so cool. I want one 🥰
Maybe you should take the pattern on the yolk of the "just look up" pullover and turn it into a shawl. That way you can still enjoy wearing it.
Kristen…you are hilarious…I do not care if you start and stop making something! You’ve inspired at least one person, I am sure, to cast the thing on and maybe they will finish it and your job is done…you are here for inspiration and you do that very well!
I'd love to see an update video 6 months or a year from now to see what you've frogged, what you've finished, what is still a WIP/UFO, and any new WIPs/UFOs as well.
I forgot half of all those wips you have! All beautiful, but I know how it is. Something has got to go! I've got a afghan, a coat sweater, another sweater, all waiting for me to just sew them up. And I'm working on the Mount Pleasant sweater. Done except the neckline and the ribbing on the sleeves. I am playing yarn chicken. I had two skeins of Madelinetosh in the Thyme colorway and I'm making mine longer than the pattern. I bought the Lapis sweater pattern and that's going to happen. I fell in love with the one Selma of Selma Knits podcast made. It's beautiful. I just saw Stephen West post the next Mystery Knit Along happening in a few weeks or sooner. So that's happening. And I think I'm making the shawl from Helen Stewart that you just finished. I'm making it in all one color though. Haven't picked a color yet. Fall is around the corner and I want out from underneath all these half finished objects, so it's either frog time or clean the craft room time!
I think your ‘Don’t look up sweater ‘ could look really cute when you’re roller skating 🤔☺️.currently working through my stash and there are a lot of colours that I don’t love anymore maybe I will donate them 😬. Great vlog 😊
Hello Kristin. I have been with you since the beginning. So glad to see you pull out the Pom Pom sweater. ( I have thought about it many many times). Oh please go back to that one you’ll have it done in a week and sweater weather has just arrived here this morning. Needed a cardi with my coffee and knitting on the porch today quite a chill in the air. That Pom Pom sweater is spectacular you will be so happy when it’s done
Now about the don’t look up sweater. Yes we all knew those were not your colours but like you just attracted to the mastery of the colour combos and design so go ahead finish it off then wear it for Halloween! Lol. Or gift it or just keep as a reference to your knitting journey. You make it seem easy but there was time and effort and problem solving and creativity getting that project off the ground. You’ll pick it up in a few years think hmmm I did that wow. Plus a fall day hike through the woods with jeans and boots perfect plus bright enough the hunters can see you lol just kidding
Just one more thing you must be so excited to get your house decorated for fall. I started yesterday slowly pulling out the odd little thing and trying to show restraint so my first item was a new pumpkin mug. Still to early to pull out my flowers and replace with mums but it’s on the radar. Any chance your house will be ready for a tour this fall would love to see the fall colours in your yard. Your yard is going to be fabulous so happy for you and Denise. It’s the perfect house for you guys. Take care and have a great day. Mary
I *Love* your dragonfly lamp!! 😍
Loved seeing I’m not alone in multiple WIPS and uFOs 😅 for the crochet blanket I recommend single crocheting the squares together instead of sewing them !!! Much quicker and still a nice finish 👏
Thanks so much! And yes, I misspoke... I am single crocheting them -- not sewing! lol
Hi
Fun going through your wip bags. I think your Don't look Up sweater looks great on you! Love that gold & pink. Knit sleeves together with magic loop & poof ! Blessings
I used to have a bunch of wips but before I moved into my house seven and half years ago I frogged just about everything. Now I have two cardigans, three or four pairs of socks and one really large crocheted blanket to finish. Since I live in Tennessee the sweaters and blanket are waiting for cooler weather. The socks I am working on one pair at a time. Good luck on getting through the frog pile!!
Thanks for the video, I feel better now! During the pandemic I made it a point to finish all wip’s or discard, which I achieved! Now I only have 3 works in progress. I also do’t have that many needles! One is mohair and finicky, one sock, i always have socks in progress and a fair Iles whis
Thanks for the video. It inspired me to go through my WIP basket to do my own knitting audit ❤️ I am curious to the fate of the crochet granny square cardigan from Patons Australia you were working on. The colours were so beautiful.
Thank you! I think I mentioned the granny square cardi in the last episode. Sadly, I'm abandoning the cardigan and making the squares into a tote 😄
Kristin, I had to frog a sweater I was working on. I made it to the sleeves, only to realize that the sweater would fit a cow by the time I was through with it. Plus, doing the fisherman's rib with stockinette stitch, along with a raglan seemed easy, but the sweater was just taunting me. So, I frogged it, and cast on for a much easier sweater.
You are the boss of your knitting…your decision. I really enjoyed this episode and listening to your thoughts (pro and con) regarding frogging or not 😊. One suggestion…finish the Lapis…it will look so beautiful on you 😄🧶💗
The UFO/WIP stress is what is pushing me to try being a monogamous knitter! (With a pair of socks in my handbag-that doesn’t count 😂)
Really loved all your wips. I feel you as to why they stalled on your projects. I have a ton of wips and everytime I say I am going to finish I never do. I did frog 🐸 only 2 lmao within the past 3 years...I will keep an eye open as to what you finish up. Stay well.
I fully enjoyed this video. It was so fun to see your old projects, that I do remember from older episodes! It was good to hear your reasoning process. And I am glad you did find some things to let go of. I feel like, some of my projects served an emotional or therapeutic purpose, where the yarn hunt, cast on, and whatever knit time it received... completely fulfilled it's purpose in my life. The fact that I frog it, is part of it's purpose because the act of creating was what I needed most at the time; it was never the product. I get to enjoy that yarn in something else... bonus.
Love this video🎉 I started the battenburg at the same time as you (because of you 😂) lol. It’s beautiful I NEED to finish it 🙈😝
I sometimes feel guilty for not finishing or frogging something, too. It's worse for me if it's a paid pattern or something that I bought the book or yarn for specifically. I feel like I'm being wasteful with my money, though I know I can always try again or use the yarn for something else.
Usually my biggest issue with not picking something up again once I set it down for a while is that I'm not sure I'll remember where I left off! This encouraged me to go through my projects. I've got 5 WIPS. One in time out for a major mistake I'm not sure I can fix, one cause I was having trouble with the sleeves, a pair of colorwork socks that I have to modify to shorten as they are too long (math isn't my friend), a mohair shawl that is just got back on track and a pair of 72 stitch socks for my son.
I totally get that, Sara! The way I like to look not completing projects from paid patterns is that it brought me joy/excitement in the moment ... and learned something about myself, after the fact. So, not a total lost cause! 😄
This was a fun video Kristin. I am excited to see your finished Nightingale Sweater and Battenberg Blanket. I really hope that you finish your Don't Look Up sweater. It is so beautiful! 💜
So basically, you’re just like the rest of us! Sometimes we choose wisely and sometimes, not so much! Can’t tell you how many times I have the BEST idea and it doesn’t work out! That’s part of making! (But , truth be told, it doesn’t sit well with me either!🥺). Thanks for recording! 💖
Your crochet blanket looks exactly like the Battenburg crochet blanket by Sandra of Cherry Heart podcast. Her pattern came out slightly before you started yours-is that where your inspiration came from? I love the colors!
And yes the colorway you used in the battenberg blanket. Oh. My . Goodness
I love the don't look up sweater you got! maybe you can finished the sweater, and auction? and $ will go to ASPCA(something like that)??? just an idea :} love your channel!
Hi Kristin. I really felt your pain during this episode. You were very brave to admit all those WIPs and make your decisions on air. I have two possible suggestions for you to help you deal with them.
Firstly have you heard of "Finish it February" - I discovered it on Roxanne Richardson's channel and it has been very helpful to me. I have a couple of WIPs that I can't face right now but next February I will either finish them or frog them and make something that I love with the yarn. Then afterwards in March I can cast on with abandon all the new things I want to make.
Secondly I love your "Don't Look Up' sweater - the colours are amazing. If you have truly gone off it then how about selling it? If you provided the WIP, finished body measurements for the body as done, information about your stocking st gauge and the remainder of the yarn to finish it, I am sure someone would buy it from you at a price that would compensate you for the yarn and enable you to buy yarn for something else that you will love (though I'm sure yarn availability isn't an issue for you). If it would fit my daughter I would buy it from you like a shot. Or as someone suggested below you could auction it for a good cause of your choice.
Love your channel and thanks for this episode. I think we all learned something about our own WIPs.
I loved this episode. Thanks for sharing. I don't think you should feel guilty at all. We all start stuff and don't finish. We all change our minds, make mistakes, etc. I am impressed you managed to go ahead and frog so many, whilst still having lots left on the needles! I only have 4-5 wips at a time! If i go beyond that i start to feel panic!!!
Fun episode Kristin. Could you direct me to the travel Mode 2.0 blanket pattern. Couldn't find on Ravelry. Love that it looks like a quilt. Thanks so much.
One girl said...." a pair of needles and yarn don't make a sweater..." So chunk away....that's what I am going to do too....before I need therapy....and start over! We knitters and crocheters do whatever we want!!!!
It's amazing how reorganizing/auditing on camera can be clarifying-I just did a reorder of my stash/purge of UFOs and filmed a bit of it for the 'gram, and I found I was able to ruthlessly frog pieces I knew weren't going to get finished but hadn't had the heart to unravel. As for the remaining WIPs-you can do it!! P.S. Once I finish off some of my UFOs, I'm thinking about casting on a Fjolla!
It's so cathartic, too, right?! 😆
@@Voolenvine It is-like finally getting a months overdue haircut 😆
I found a project that I was designing with some beautiful entrelac on the collar and front bands. All my friends said to finish it. But I just wasn’t into it! So I recycled the yarn and made something I love and wear all the time . Lesson for me: when in doubt… frog it! ❤️
Thanks for sharing. Someone kindly gifted me a boxy-style sweater from the Gap, and I tried so hard to like it. Goodwill received it, because I couldn't even wear it around the house.
Loved this, thank you for taking the time to share. With the Don't Look Up pullover, you're so close you should finish it. If you know you're not going to wear it, you can take it to your LYS and see if someone wants to buy it. I'll bet someone else would be thrilled to have it in their wardrobe.
This was a helpful episode! It helps reevaluate what projects that will actually be done. I did this with my yarn and items in my queue 😀. I am determined to complete the 20 project patterns I purchased before starting anything new.
Love this video, it really motivates me to do the same. In my ufo, think I have a crochet sweater, an acrylic knit, a long cardigan, a mariechen cardigan, a tote bag, a cumulus blouse and striped pullover.. Mostly I m get demotivated by the second sleeve, so it s really close to being ready 😂 but I would like to start January with a clear mind 👍
I am about to go through mine like this and I can relate so much… I can’t do the boxy oversized thing either. I am also petite and it’s easy to look overwhelmed
I watches Don’t Look Up two days ago and I love how quirky that jumper is. I think it might be really pretty in the right types of colours.
Agreed! I'm actually not the only one to reverse-engineer this sweater. If you poke around Instagram and Ravelry #DontLookUpSweater there are quite a few versions and some in different colors. I wouldn't mind a more neutral palette version for myself. 😄
❤️ that granny square blanket ❤️
Actually it helps me that you say “thinking about it it is not for me” or just grab your UFO’s and see why you left it.
I do the same as you, made a mistake and got discouraged. I have a cardigan (UFO) and I think I made the wrong size ( just have about 4 inch done) but because It starts with an I cord cast on, that I had to do over a couple of times, I don’t want to rib back and start again. Now you have helped me with that, when I am done my wips I will pick it back up and start over! Thanks for that❤️
Have you thought of making “don’t look up “ in like Grim and mauve etc, more in your colours?
I love that Koru and went and purchased the pattern! I will possibly make it sleeveless or a tee though. Have you thought of over dyeing it? I think it’s fine to decide it’s not for you, why put all that work into something you’re not enjoying or know you won’t wear. Great role modelling I think to frog it! 😊
Speaking of 3 yarns in a row, it’s sooo hard to maintain tension. That’s what I am doing right now 😤. Margo can wear the don’t look up pullover or visitors to your home. I hope you get the motivation for the wips you like
I totally appreciate when you DO change your mind! It’s good to know the reason or factors behind… for example, I was considering the new Joji, but your comments made me look at other project pages and realize I wouldn’t love the finished fit. You saved me hundreds of $$ in yarn and the pattern, and hours of TIME! So please don’t feel guilty for sharing your ‘fails’ - they help us win. ;)
This idea for content is genius.
Hi Kristin, love all your projects and my way of getting out of a rut when I’m not sure what to work on is to pick one that is very close to being finished and also start a new one I’m really excited about. Rip everything out that doesn’t inspire you anymore 😎 our knitting time is precious so only work on what you’re feeling at the moment 😊
Thanks, Sio! Great advice!
The colors you used in once and floral…..😍😍😍😍😍😍
You can gift your don’t look up sweater. Christmas is only 3 months away. I’m the same way with mistakes. I made a hoodie for my husband. Got it done, was super proud and wagh wagh it’s not long enough. I seriously have not fixed it and it’s been in a bag for over a year. I really need to fix it. But I’m scared I’m going to mess it up fixing it lol
I can honestly see you in the Don't Look Up. I think it will look great on you.
Interesting conversation on written patterns versus charts. I'm Autistic with ADHD so I have the wall-of-text issue to the extreme, to the extent that even overcomplicated or unintuitive charts do the same thing to me. I'm beginning to think I'll have a more successful knitting journey if I start charting out my own patterns in a system that works for me. I started learning brioche this week and had to do it then because the charts and directions were all so needlessly overcomplicated that I had to frog and restart dozens of times just from not being able to follow the patterns.
I vote to finish the Don’t Look Up sweater and wear it for Halloween! I remember some of your Halloween costumes you used to do and they were fabulous! I hope this Halloween brings a costume. That sweater or something else entirely! I’m a sucker for costumes - love them!
My thoughts on the Koru - if you aren’t working on the project because you don’t like the color of the yarn, you probably aren’t going to wear the finished object. It won’t matter how far you are on “body island” it will all be wasted time if you don’t like it.
you should do a video series kinda like the mending mondays ive seen different creators making but instead of mending you try to figure out and continue on your UFOs (make it extra terestrial themed for bonus points) so you can get back on board with them and we can have a struggle-buddy for when our projects go.. not so great too haha
Hi from Ali in Australia ! love your podcast Kristin and now I feel OK about abandoning stuff if I'm not happy !! yeah !! too many projects and not enough time.
I loved this! I say if it’s not enjoyable, why do it? We all get to change our mind. Knit on, the next magic project awaits, don’t miss out on trying it. Life is too short, knit what makes you happy.
I think you should frog the Don't Look Up, the Lapis, The Lace Boxy, the once & floral, the shawl & the socks! It seems from this perspective that you are having to convince yourself to keep them. You will be free from that without any guilt because I am giving you permission right here lol!
I know how you feel about wips I think at the beginning of the year I had 32 wips alot of blanket love casting them on don't ever finish them. I was going to finish them this year I think I finished 2 long term wips 🤭 and you don't want to know how many I cast on this year
That was a fun episode - I think I will follow suit! It was extra fun because I've seen you talk about/cast on a lot of those 😀
I love your project bags! What is the sewing pattern you used to make them?
If I counted correctly you are keeping 8, frogging 4 of 12. I feel like you in not wanting to deal with mistakes or seaming or repairing. It’s more fun to do something new.
"I made a mistake and I don't want to deal with it"
....YUP. I get a friend of mine to fix or frog back 2-3 rows for me all the time so I can finish projects 😂😂
I think, for me, the hardest part is when I spend money on a pattern only to realize I'm not in to it. Yea, it's under $10, but it def feels like money wasted at that point and that's the only thing really holding me back. However, I do try not to get wrapped up in that sunk cost fallacy. There are too many things out there that I really do want to knit/crochet/weave/etc., to waste any additional time on a project that isn't bringing me joy. With that said, I end up being very trigger shy when it comes to going for a paid pattern unless I'm VERY sure it's something that I really want. I've also learned that I need to let the yarn tell me what it wants to be. Too many times I've been super in to wanting to work with the yarn so I pour through ravelry looking for a pattern to use with it. Those projects almost never come to fruition. I'm need to be as passionate about the finished object as I am about the yarn I'm working with. Otherwise I just don't stick with it. So yeah, I think it's important to figure out who you are as a knitter and be circumspect about what you ultimately put on the needles.
Hi Kristen, your project bags are so cute. Do you use a pattern for your project bags? If so, can you link it for me or IM it to me. Thank you.
Yeah I am not the only one admiring them. A lot of the prints I see for sale aren’t my taste but hers are funky and interesting.
I have two wips that are lingering. Thank you for this podcast! I’ve decided that I really don’t like either project. So I’ll frog both and reuse the yarn. Should I wash the yarn before reusing it?
I’m not a knitter or a crocheter and the couple times I’ve attempted the most basic of stitches I’ve been hopeless. Question though, does Frogging it mean you will unravel it so the yarn doesn’t go to waste? Or does it mean snipping the project off the yarn, and tossing the beginning part of the project? Thank you. (PS I love your colour preferences.)
My cat did the same thing with my knitting basket. He's obcessed with granny squares for some reason and the second they were in the basket it became his new bedroom
Your Don't Look Up pullover looks so good on you though!
Your perspective on color is 100% where I am right now. I get so excited about a lot of colorful yarns...but at the end of the day I only wear blacks/greys/the occasional dark purple or green. I'm not going to wear the beautiful bright variegated yarn. I also need to get better at realizing the shiny object of pretty yarn will make me feel guilt for not using it, so I should skip it and feel god about buying boring blacks and neutrals.
exactly! I still have a small stash of crazy yarn colors that I save for when I fall into Stephen West knitting kicks. They're great for process-knit shawls. Even if I don't end up wearing them, I look at them as "art pieces" ... or I gift them all to my little nieces 😆. And hey, It's not boring if you know you love the colors and going to love wearing the FO even more! 🖤
I love you showing us what's in all of your project bags! The bags alone deserve a video of their own. Finish the don't look up or send it my way to complete! When I first saw you starting this, I immediately wanted to copy you exactly. It's so fun.
Im not a big shawl person and since you haven't got far, Id rip it out. Same with the Lapis and Joji sweater since you don't know if you would wear it. I love seeing how different our color choices are with projects that I have saved. And how you also pick projects based on if the knit will be enjoyable. I refuse to do color work patterns that wont really show the color work. You have no problem with doing this with many of your projects because you are an advance knitter who appreciates stitch patterns.
Do you sell your project bags anywhere I love them
Yarn barf is the worst! We need center pull indicators!
You make the prettiest project bags 😍🥰
Aww, thanks! 😄
Loved watching 💕 if you do not like knitting it or love the colors it is not worth spending precious time on it i have learned. I have no wip pile anymore since a year. No sweaters because im scared to knit one since im finally losing weight (20 lbs now and still going) so i only knit socks one pair at a time. I do have one very weak spot… blankets but as stated by many blankets do not count as a wip so im good there hahaha. I just try to keep in mind knitting or crochet should give joy and when a project does not do that it is not happening. Btw loved all the projectbags especially the Halloween ones. Wish more of those bags were out there for Halloween
Yes! All of this ... I totally understand not wanting to knit sweaters for a changing body. And that's amazing Jennifer! I hope you reach your goal - cheers to health!🙌 I also second that blankets do not count as a WIP 😂A home can never have too many blankets! ☝
I totally understand setting aside a project where there’s a mistake. I need to be in a certain frame of mind to tink back and fix something. Of course my response is to cast on a new project. 😅
I recently moved too, and also did a big cleanout of WIPs (and just... project bags with needles and yarn from FOs still in them. Why do I keep leaving them like that o_o ) and it's amazing how one can just do a full 180 from loving a project to hating it xD For me, it's mostly also the process.
"To be honest," as the young folks say, I forget about your WIPs more than I forget about my own.
I get the guilts about frogging WiPs and I don't have a youtube channel or really anyone who knows what I'm knitting except me! I tend not to even put projects on ravelry any more till they're finished or well on the way there. I think many of us have just absorbed this message that somehow we're being feckless/lazy/wasteful and of course it's all rubbish. It's a hobby, it's supposed to be fun!
You sure have a lot of project bags! Please, could you share how you make them? Maybe point us to a pattern or tutorial? I would also like to make some like that, but I need instructions, because I'm a baby sewist...
Can you please tell me what "FROG" means. Best regards Susan, Denmark 🇩🇰
Hello! To "Frog" knitting means to rip it back or unravel it. The "riiiiip" sound is similar to how a frog goes, "ribbit!" Hence, "Frog it!" 🐸😂
Hi Kristin,
maybe I am just not seeing it, but could you please link to the Slip Stitch Party Chart.
Also, I found that when I make a mistake or the size doesn't fit or similar. I unravel it right away. I mostly do not even sleep over it. Is it annoying? Yes, very much. But if I finish it with something wrong, it will only bug me and I won't wear it. And if I would let it sit aside, I won't get better. Better deal with it immediately, then the worst part is over.
Sorry about that, Britta! I forgot to link the SSP shawl project with the chart. Here it is: www.ravelry.com/projects/JMulderG/ssp-slip-stitch-party-shawl ... It's the last image on her project page :) and I totally agree with ripping things out as soon as you make a mistake. This way we've got no choice but to do it over! 😄
@@Voolenvine Thank you very much.
I find charts so much easier as well. 🙂
Have a lovely Sunday.
All of the project bags are so pretty. I got a lot of prosjects, but I use plastic bags. And I can sew. How sad is that.
"I honestly don't know what the fate of this project is" - ME lol
Hi it's great to watch your process on languishing Wips, when you started your Don't Look up sweater I thought that might not make it... I am a very different shape to you but love lots of your knits, Lace and Face boxy is a lovely pattern but I would knit it far less boxy in the body with roomier sleeves. THE Joji fall knit along starts this week, so I am going to knit the Sparkle cardie as my lap vie en rose should be done by Tuesday.
Could you over dye the color you are not wild about? More complicated than it may be worth?
I was just going to suggest that! Over dye it Kristin!!
Great suggestion! I could, but since this yarn is not superwash, and has silk, wool, and cashmere ... I'm hesitant to do it. I'm not saying it can't be done, but I don't want to risk felting, and because (in my experience) certain dyes takes to non-superwash differently. I could end up muddying the color 😬
