I let them use my API key and just pay. The 3.5 model really is dirt cheap. With all my personal experiments and classes the monthly bill is only a few bucks. Again a 3.5 request that maxes at 4K tokens costs less then a penny. Most API calls cost a tenth of a penny or even less
Have you built a computer. I have an asus laptop (about 15 years old), and it is running Linux mint. A person with little knowledge build one. Do you have a parts list. I'm not into games. Thanks
Just passed by to say Hi. Last time I watched your content was about 7 years ago. Good to know you’re still at it. ELI THE COMPUTER GUY.
Good info, his focus on the cost is practical and useful.
Got some ideas for playing arround with python and openai thanks to your interresting video. Time to play. Thank you Eli! 😊
Yaaaaaay!!! I didn't fall asleep this time. Yaaaaaay!!! 😁 👍
Eli - Waiting on your commentary on the Linus Media Group situation. Would love to hear something from you and/or Louis Rossmann.
How do you deal with the tokens for your students? Do you pay for them?
