There are many who try to reform by correcting this or that bad habit, and they hope in this way to become Christians, but they are beginning in the wrong place. Our first work is with the heart. COL 97
We may leave off many bad habits, for the time we may part company with Satan; but without a vital connection with God, through the surrender of ourselves to Him moment by moment, we shall be overcome. Without a personal acquaintance with Christ, and a continual communion, we are at the mercy of the enemy, and shall do his bidding in the end. DA 324
Matthew 23:26 (KJV) Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.
Revelation 3:20 (KJV) Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Let us have an intimate relationship with Jesus. Open our heart, let Jesus come and sup, and we with Him. He will clean within our cup and the platter. Automatically our outside be clean also.

You need to keep Gods commandments and the testimony of Jesus if you want to be saved, if you don’t there will be no tree of life for you nor enter the City of God.
This is true but you also need love.
@@karenhetherington3585 true but the commandments are Love, this is why in Romans 13:9 6 commandments are " you will love your neighbor as yourself " and the first four are " love God with all your heart mind and soul briefly comprehending as a summary in those to the commandments, the foundation of the commandments is love.👍 This is why love completed the law.
