36.30 Love it! "If there´s any guranatees, there´s 3 of them in the world. You´re going to die, you´ll pay taxes and if you´re starting into trading, don´t do it with real money because you´ll lose it... that´s the 3rd new guarantee in the world now."

I've noticed that between 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm eastern time if the GBP or the EUR have done a strong push upward against the USD it will be brought back down by the American traders when the London session closes. So that's a very predictable retraction where nobody is available to push the price up in the stop loss. Seems like it doesn't work with the CHF maybe because the American traders like to keep a reserve of this currency because it's backed by a lot of gold.

Nice of him to give his time. I had to stop though as he derided all traders who would use stochastics to fade moves. It depends on the market conditions. Yes, anyone who slavishly uses stochastics to fade trends is going to take lots of very large losses in any trending markets. At the same time, going long on overbought levels is actually an aggressive momentum strategy that only works in some market conditions.

Just in case anyone's interested, that is not at all what Darwin's theory of evolution states re 'adaptability'. Evolution is concerned with one thing and one thing only - the relative advantage of an organism, compared to others of its species, to foster healthy offspring who, in turn, will have healthy offspring, and so on. Adaptability is the ability of an organism to adapt to change in its environment. That is not at all the same thing, nor is it necessarily a particularly sought after trait in terms of evolution. The trait of 'adaptability' which Barry seems to think is central to Darwinism is no more germane to the theory than any other trait or characteristic, such as height, sharp teeth, problem solving capability, etc. Just as a simple example, mice who happened to have darker hair would have an evolutionary advantage living in a coal mine. They would be less easily spotted by prey and therefore would be more likely to progenate, all other things being equal. The dark-haired mouse didn't adapt to its environment, it happened to have features, completely predetermined by its genes, which afforded it a survival advantage in that particular environment. To be sure, for SOME species, for example homo sapien, adaptability would likely be an advantageous trait, but that in no way should be taken to imply that Darwinism confers some special value to adaptability, or that it is in any way central to the theory. Barry may have conflated another common way of viewing Darwin's theory, which is that evolution distinguishes those species or those members of a species which are 'best adapted' to a particular environment. But, as demonstrated above, a creature may be highly adapted to its environment while demonstrating zero adaptability as a trait. There I feel better. Sorry, it's just one of the most important ideas to have ever 'evolved', so it would be a shame if a misrepresentation of it were 'passed on'. Okay I'll shut up now. Other than that, nice interview! ☺️

I’m looking for someone who’s willing to help me take their time and help me learn how to calculate and understand position sizing and risks. When taking a position I want to know exactly what I’m risking (how, why) how much is required to take the trade (and why) with and without margin. These are the only concepts I struggle with. But I need someone who is patient to help me.

THE CENTAL REASON THE TRADERS DID NOT BECOME EMOTIONAL WHEN LOSING IS BECAUSE THEY KNEW THEIR SYSTEM WORKED AND MATHEMATICALLY IF THEY SIMPLY APPLIED IT,AT THE END OF THE SESSION, THEY LIKELY WOULD BE WINNERS. IN SHORT, THEIR SYSTEM WORKED AS LONG AS THEY DID NOT FREAK OUT AND STRAY FROM THEIR PROVEN METHODOLOGY, PROFITS WOULD NATURALLY FLOW INTO THEIR ACCOUNTS......GEEZ, WHY WORRY ABOUT A SINGLE TRADE.
