Do it! You’ll love it. I lived in California my entire life as well, moved to Eugene randomly one day at 18 cuz my friend offered and I loved it. Moved back at 25 due to familial issues but about to be moving back there July 18th and I cannnnot wait lmao. I am so over California (again) haha.

I am not familiar with all Coos Bay has to offer, I an speak about Eugene though. Eugene has a vibrant downtown area with a large selection of local restaurants. I recommend the 5th St Market district. Down the street from there is the Hult Center. At the Hult Center they host plays. For example every December they show the Nutcracker. It is hard to give an exhaustive description. If you have any specific questions I can do my best to answer them!
