I genuinely think that the French newaza programme outwith They're outstanding tachiwaza is probably the best outside of Japan. I would love to see a French newaza expert go up against a bjj practitioner
I never hear about that, probably the French language barrier. Kosen Judo is great. Judo doesn't market enough. They have competency in throws particularly the transitions and ashiwaza. BJJ focusses on wrestling, even in gi, which is ridiculous considering their esteemed lineage. They screwed up there. Too much focus on street, and considering most on the street wear clothes, Judo is more appropriate and newaza best avoided too. It is a marketing opportunity for judo
Add 10 minutes a non training day, of visualisation training looking at quality judoka with similar techniques on RUclips (imagine it is you) and do elastic or rubber stretchies uchikomi solo training on favourite throws, accurately at home, 2 simple things both not too strenuous and likeable if you enjoy Judo, apart from more training they are the obvious things.
