I'm a fan of the more traditional family run places. We all know how the system works, one guide has a deal here another a deal there, it's called making a living. I saw a rerun of Anthony Bourdain in Rome a while back. And he was invited by his girlfriend to a local restaurant, but he had to promise not to reveal the name or location of the place. I have quite a few favorite restaurants around the world, but they are fully busy serving only locals, they really don't want backpackers and tourists. Some secrets are worth keeping :)

Casnikful you can buy sealed water bottle with decent water pretty much everywhere and it‘s super cheap - I wouldn‘t recommend drinking the tap water, depending on where you stay they do have filter systems that clean the water. If you are unsure of what to eat at a restaurant perhaps just stick with the veggie option (a lot of restaurants have open kitchens so you can tell if the kitchen is clean or not).During my stay I‘ve barely had any stomach problems - you should totally travel there, Nepal will enchant you even if it might not seem like it in the beginning. Can‘t wait to go back there

Top 12 momos place n none of Tibetan restuarents around Boudha is in list. There are many restuarents around Boudha which only sells 1000s plates of momos a day n they r not featured. List of top 12 shown above with name of big restaurant looks like paid commercial.
Yeah, I have to agree. My favorite momo place was on the triangle (back in the 80's) on the northeast side of the great stupa! I ate there everyday.
Some secrets are worth keeping :)

where can i get beef momo in Kathmandu ?
你我愛 ...Nepalese people never make and eat beef momos because they worship cow as a god and it's against their religion and culture.
You can have different types of momos as shown in video except the beef one.
@@birbaltamang3589 don't lie, i saw many Nepali eating beef . I m really confused about hindu religion, why hindu religion haven't equal right for animals ?
Haha....I am not lying... In which place of Nepal did you see the people eating beef momo?
No one makes beef momos in their restaurants, hotel or any residential place as well.
It's a crime to kill Cows and Ox's and will be arrested even someone found killing it.
Although i am not a hindu, I am Buddhist.
This belief has been a cultural rule for everyone one in Nepal. 😊😊😊
@@birbaltamang3589 if you go in 5 star hotel you will get beef dishes to cater foreigners tourists, however it might change now, though never heard of beef momo too.

Did you not get sick from eating food in Nepal? I've heard some horrible stories about the water quality there. Any advice/precautions to take before travelling there? I'm from London, UK btw.
Hey hey London!! =D
My Street food Safety Tips here (my religion & tricks) -> ruclips.net/video/3ZjKc4ARhmk/видео.html . 😀
But keep in mind, for this specific video, I had Ashish!
