I taught in a college part time. Only worked for 3 and a half hour a day and got 23k . It was a good job. But I left it to prepare for government exams. (A mistake) now I will go to a private college next year again if I do not get selected for haryana assistant professor vacancy . There are vacancies but it's hard to get selected. In 1 year I have given RPSC AP and RPSC Sanskrit department AP and also have given 2 interviews in the Delhi University colleges. Didn't get selected but learned a lot . I don't recommend leaving your job to pursue government vacancies . Prepare, while doing your job . I could leave my job because I am young and have no responsibilities.
Yes you're right. I am a teacher and the love I recieved as a teacher is precious. Maybe I will earn less salary as a professor but i will be happy. Because teaching means a lot for me..❤
Thank you for sharing your experience and valuable advice. I'm sure your tip about preparing while employed is excellent advice for many. Wishing you the best in your future endeavors, whether in government or private institutions! :)
I agree to you somewhat, but the reality of india is that higher education vacancies are very low compared to school education examination and recruitment. I have qualified NET 5 times, and I have friends who are 2 times JRF and so on. Right now, we all are employed and working in reputed government organizations. But in India, it's difficult to get into higher education systems. I am happy that you addressed this thing logically, but somewhat it hurts to see fewer opportunities. One thing I want to add from my side to the fellow aspirants is NO matter what exam, level, or field you would choose you'll face a huge competition govt or private sector because it's India we are highly populated and incredibly talented people. So choose your battles carefully, and in my experiences, knowledge never goes to waste, and skills are equally important as your degrees.🎉
Thank you for sharing your perspective and experiences. Spot-on advice - competition is indeed there. Still, stories like yours show that we should all remain positive. Thank you for adding this valuable insight. :)
Thank you so much for sharing this sir. I get the same suggestions from my family , relatives even friends that i should prepare for banking, ssc etc. But they fail to understand my love for teaching. I can't live without teaching English Literature.
Thank you, I really appreciate this. Been really worried about my career and listening to this from a teacher motivates and supports my belief that I am on the right path.

English is in almost every course even in the NURSING or medical field , people don't search.
Indeed, including healthcare. Its importance in communication and documentation fits it in almost all the professional setting. :)
It gives pleasure ❤️... atleast for me... people used to tell the same thing...but you can never explain them the satisfaction of teaching...
