I'm glad you enjoyed the video. As someone who loves history, I always try to honor a very fundamental truth about it; the fact that history is in all senses a HUMAN experience. And just like the humans that make it, history is complex and can't be reduced to simple black & white explanations.
Glad you liked it M M. And yeah, it's sad that this kind of content needs such a thing, but well... there's people out there that won't ever try to truly understand the past in order to cling to whatever they want to believe :(
Mexico didn't convert to Catholicism, there was no "Mexico" to speak of when the Spanish missionaries arrived. Now, if what you want is a video on the conversion of native peoples in what today call "Mexico" to Catholicism... I'm afraid that would merit a series on its own, as the process was too complex to really boil it down to one video if you ask me. But I do plan to cover certain aspects of that process in the future :) Greetings!
@@AztlanHistorian sorry for the inaccuracies of my comment, I did not realize the sheer oversimplification I was implying. I do apologize if I offended you, I really do love your videos though! I can’t wait to see what you have planned!
@@centipede9467 Oh. I wasn't offended, so don't worry. In fact, I apologize for such a brash answer. It wasn't the correct way to talk to a fan. Sorry And I'll try to do my best to live up to your expectations. Greetings!
That map describes a "Maya Empire" which never existed (Because the Mayapan League was not an Empire), and yeah, I don't like that too; just as much as I dislike that whole insistence on only pointing Aztec-Maya-Inca in maps of the pre-Columbian Americas :(
He has finally uploaded again, not alot of people to such detailed Meso American history this channel really helps me
Thanks for the compliment. Hope you keep enjoying my work! :)
This video is actually quite deep. Well done. Saludos de Los Angeles y de Zacatecas. 👏
Thanks for the compliment! ¡Saludos!
Great video; We need more historians such as you that do not make history as black-and-white as some people would want it to be.

Great video.
And is sad that you had to make the initial disclaimer.
Glad you liked it M M.

Do you think you could do a video on Mexico’s conversion to Catholicism?
