Run away, now it's Halloween Shave your head and burn your sheets Evil could be right next door What do blind dogs believe? haha when i discovered this song many years ago, i watched the movie to see if this song would actually be in it.... its not in the film until the 2nd SONG IN THE CREDITS lol
Would've fit perfect on superunknown, i believe it was an outtake on album. No other album brings memories back like that album did to me. Its a time capsule back to the hot summer of 95 for me. 6th grade to be exact. That album matured me so much musically.
How have I missed this song for all these years? I have been a huge Soundgarden, Nirvana, Alice in Chains fan since I was young. When Chris died, a part of me died also. It's hard knowing that all of your favorite bands frontmen have died. Being from Washington State, they all had a huge roll in my life. This song has been on repeat for the past few days. I can't stop thinking about it and about Chris. Life is just not the same. RIP brother.
If you watch the 1995 Movie Basketball Diaries you will find it at the end as it is going off, nearing the end, the credits. I fell in love with it the .moment I heard it, but I didn't recognize Chris' voice, I didn't know it was Soundgarden until it said it. I will love and miss Chris all my life. 5/18/22.
This song has such a unique vibe. Its apocalyptic but somehow serene. I loved thier more mellow downtrodden bluesy stuff, puts me in a moody kind of haze that is just magical. Also the lyrics are eerily beautiful.
I was an undergrad in college from 1992-1996 and I didn’t take that musical era for granted then, nor do I now at 46 years old. It’s pinnacle talent and timeless.
I love Soundgarden I have all the albums but I didn’t know about this song til now and it feels as though Chris is making this music from beyond the grave.
One of the greatest things about Soundgarden's sound is the amazing amount of different tunings they played with. These guys and Alice in chains were the best musically from that period I think.
I don't know why Soundgarden doesn't play this song more often live. Well, the last year they played 8 times (according to setlistfm), but i think it suits perfect for Cornell to sing it. 3/4 of the song is in la low-tune key of singing, which is no problem for him.
When SG played this song at the Wiltern in LA, Chris's voice got kinda hoarse towards the end in the higher parts but he did rather well every other time.
Why are the LIVE versions of this song are only in his Spotify channel? Because the original blind dogs song is NOT in his album "Superunknown" on Spotify.
It isn't. It was n ever released on any single, nor album from SG. IKt only appeared on the Basketball Diaries soundtrack CD before they unearthed it again a few years back for Echo Of Miles.
I honestly thought nobody listened to this song anymore it’s not on Apple Music or Spotify and it’s so annoying it doesn’t get the respect it deserves top 5 Soundgarden songs
We 'Blind Dogs' of Denver, CO tribute these legends as hard as possible every show. Much love to you all and our mighty Cornell and Soundgarden. Keep going friends....
Seattle will always be legends, alice in chain nirvana pearl jam temple of the dog. Green river band and mother love bone started Seattle scene/ genre, with Andrew wood their also wouldn't be no PJ or temple of the dog and alice in chain would song would never be.
Bought the Basketball Diaries soundtrack years ago for this song and The Posies' "Coming Right Along." Fucking amazing! Why it was shelved as a B-side baffles me!
This song should of been on the album that come out during the early 90's. If I would of listened to it then during my early twenties it would of been my favorite song for six years now less.
I see speed written on the ground if any one could understand a Trent and some tea triangles ctv it's almost impossible to have whats in my head I'm not lieing wen I say I can tell I lost some even wen I'm walking.
Sometimes you can tell how great a band is by what they deemed "not good enough" for their albums
Wise words
Alice in Chains - fear the voices
Seether - what would you do
2 of the greatest outtakes of all time
You are so right
No doubt
R.I.P. Chris Cornell. Indisputably one of the greatest vocalists of all time. Rest easy, and thank you.
I cannot believe it was 5 years ago already
@@sheanicfps he died in may 2017, so it was actually 6 years ago. Time flies
One the greatest songwriters of all time. Not many people know he actually wrote most of the songs for Soundgarden and Audioslave.
Run away, now it's Halloween

Sorry for the correction, but I am pretty sure it's burn your cheeks, like cutting in sideburns. Very hard to make out half of Chris's lyrics
@@petecatalano3843 You're an idiot.
Here because Spotify took the original take off of Echo of Miles :(
Same ;/
Same 2
Same 3. My absolute favorite SG song
The Basketball Diaries has this. What a great soundtrack
Movie favorite of DiCaprio
haha when i discovered this song many years ago, i watched the movie to see if this song would actually be in it.... its not in the film until the 2nd SONG IN THE CREDITS lol
No they don't and no it's not
Don’t have this version anymore, the the studio outtake
Yes
One of the reasons why SOUNDGARDEN are legends of Grunge
One of my absolute fave songs of all time. RIP Chris Cornell.
This song is so good it almost makes me sick.
that's exactly how I feel about it!!
😪👺
I will never get how this didn't make it on an album.
Me neither...but then again, it's Soundgarden :)
Would've fit perfect on superunknown, i believe it was an outtake on album. No other album brings memories back like that album did to me. Its a time capsule back to the hot summer of 95 for me. 6th grade to be exact. That album matured me so much musically.
I believe it was saved for Basketball Diaries.
If this was on Superunknown, the CD would have shattered due to too much greatness on it
@@mrgorgun81 I think you're correct.

You were too sucked into the mainstream lamestream
What a voice...Return to us soon , Chris Cornell. We need you.

Rest in peace brother, always in our heart.
At 3:40 Cornell screams like a God.....
4:39 is where I begin to take a moment of silence to honor Chris and the pure genius he was and always will be for all time. Rest easy, my man.
This is stuck in my head forever, and it's going to stay
I love Soundgarden I have all the albums but I didn’t know about this song til now and it feels as though Chris is making this music from beyond the grave.
Nicely said..
I'm just listening to the B-Sides for the first time (besides this one) and asking myself why they aren't A-Sides.
I swear every week im finding my new favorite soundgarden song i never owned any of their records but have always been a fan
Hellyeah
Right on! They have a ton of hidden gems. Hope you're still finding them! \m/
one of the best songs from SG with the movie "The Basketball Diaries" :-)
"Suffer to swim
And dying to sink
These things in the air
They will make you think"...
Profound!
I was a 16-year-old addicted street kid, this music was part of my lifestyle at the time. I never forget this period of my life
it seems a bit black sabbath
Just the best band ever
RIP brother!
R.I.P. Chris Cornell 😭
Saw your channel. Stay up. Stay strong. Just crank the music you love !!✊🏽♠️🎨🎨📯🎙️🎼🎤🎧🎧🎹💿📖♻️📴🍫
Jacki ChemSlave He lives in all of us.
Q: What did Chris Cornell say to Kurt Cobain? A: We should hang

Alice in Chains? Good lord
soundgarden and stp for me
Great song for a cloudy wet day.
Dark jewel i never heard. Kind of 4th July vibe. Amen
BASKETBALL DIARIES!
Soundgarden forever
Jim Carroll *_*
his name is jim carroll
RIP Jim; RIP our beloved Chris.
this guitar solo.. damn!

Yeah I was seeing one of the few times they played the song in 2013 and he sang it exactly like the studio version.
It doesn’t matter what register chris is in. He nails it all. Best vocalist of this generation hands down. Amazingly great song 😎
When SG played this song at the Wiltern in LA, Chris's voice got kinda hoarse towards the end in the higher parts but he did rather well every other time.
They sure had a unique style. Fantastic!
Should have been on the album; or not, so I could discover it now
Bad ass song 👍🏽
Why are the LIVE versions of this song are only in his Spotify channel? Because the original blind dogs song is NOT in his album "Superunknown" on Spotify.
Just saw the basketball diaries again, I forgot this was on the soundtrack.
This is a b-side to a single from Superunknown, so they used that cover instead of the single.
It isn't. It was n ever released on any single, nor album from SG. IKt only appeared on the Basketball Diaries soundtrack CD before they unearthed it again a few years back for Echo Of Miles.

RIP Chris!!!
The Best song soundgarden
Definitely in my top 5 of theirs!
Top 5.
One of my favourites of Soundgarden. Chris Cornell was a visionary with a sight beyond the majority.
Still so hard to believe this man is gone with oh so much talent!!!
So sad that this song is not on iMusic. Thank you YT for having it.
Is it just me, or is the guitar riff basically Neil Young's Cinnamon Girl?
+Ben Gibeson i think so too. pretty cool.
Way better though.
Cinnamon girl is bright sunny day to this dark dreary night.... No comparison
It's Cinnamon Girl on opium.
@@Justin-zz3dq on dark side
Nowwww it's halloweeeeennnnnn
Soundgarden will never have an equal. Chris R.I.P.
Garden of sound🎼
For some reason this reminds me of a real sludgy version of “Cinnamon Girl” by Neil Young
this is so fucking hot
I wonder what session this was recorded at either way it sounds like a lost masterpiece.
Fukng downvotes really? Do not call yourselves a SG fan. This song is a true test of CC's outstanding vocals!!!!!
This sounds like a Down song. Close your eyes and hear Phil. Amazing sometimes how similar such different bands can sound.
Yeah, Phil from down and slightly Layne Staley
Got the same hint here
Oye amigo, oye bien lo que te digo
This, in between Head Down and Black Hole Sun.
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE THIS SONG
this song rocks my socks off.
3:30 The bass line is so memorizing. Gotta listen to this with good headphones or speakers with bass
The song that has been missing from my Soundgarden back catalogue...superb.
Why this song is not available anymore on spotify?
Kim's playing is perfect on here. Love the backing guitar riff toward the end. So dope.
dude, i think this is the wrong album cover. is it not?
I know that it's blasphemy, but try this song in 1.25 speed.
So fuckin cool!! Good one!
Nah. I’d go slower, at 90% speed this rivals the doom of Sabbath.
Imagine listening to this while flying a pure freedom machine called the a-10 warthog
That bass at 3:40 is so tasty
We 'Blind Dogs' of Denver, CO tribute these legends as hard as possible every show. Much love to you all and our mighty Cornell and Soundgarden. Keep going friends....
The basketball diaries
It's Oct 1st 2021 and this is the first time since Chris' death that I've been able to listen to Soundgarden :(
Simply a masterpiece❤
the basketball diaries
Birth Ritual is another really great soundtrack song from this band
Omg I love this song so mesmerizing!
that up rift at 3:25 and Cornell's voice. man. too good.
Oooh what a beautiful bridge ....
so good
Love it! I feel a Alice in chains vibe, Cornell can sing anything awesome range he has! 🤩😍😎🔊❤
The other way around buddy. SG came first and redefined heavy weight way before Alice came around...
I was thinking the same, I had the feeling it was Layne Staley singing at the beginning! I'm so fan of both 🖤
Seattle will always be legends, alice in chain nirvana pearl jam temple of the dog. Green river band and mother love bone started Seattle scene/ genre, with Andrew wood their also wouldn't be no PJ or temple of the dog and alice in chain would song would never be.
Such a good song 👍Chris was a great singer❤️
@microbro72 Just found a torrent with this and a bunch of other rares, titled 'Soundgarden - Rarities & B-Sides'
Bought the Basketball Diaries soundtrack years ago for this song and The Posies' "Coming Right Along." Fucking amazing! Why it was shelved as a B-side baffles me!
Spot on, it's all about those two tracks. The Posies one is creepier, reminds me of Slint.
Sooo true
It’s a freedom spreading M A C H I N E
I have Basketball Diaries but I don't remember this song. I've been a Soundgarden fan since 1989.
This song should of been on the album that come out during the early 90's. If I would of listened to it then during my early twenties it would of been my favorite song for six years now less.
Sounds like Neil Young (and Crazy Horse ?) song, 'Cinnamon Girl' !!
..."HELL HATH NO FURY LIKE AN OSIRIS SCORED!!!" -- Assad Akram
I loved this song.
I see speed written on the ground if any one could understand a Trent and some tea triangles ctv it's almost impossible to have whats in my head I'm not lieing wen I say I can tell I lost some even wen I'm walking.
Fuck, this is fucking cool. Took me back. Never heard it. Reminds me of Alice in chains
"Soundgargen,.....ALWAYS!!!!" -- Assad Akram
This is great! Where is this from? Where are some of these songs from (i.e., motorcycle loop, blind dogs, touch me)?
microbro72 this is a b-side from a soundgarden's album, and it appears on the movie the basketball diaries
Basketball Diaries 👍
Impeccable tune... rip Chris, certified legend
Definitely inspired by Neil young’s cinnamon girl
Echos of Cinnamon Girl in that one.
wholly shit the guitar riff is rocking in the free world by neil young
Happy new year 🌊🔥
Feels like down on the up side vibe
So true
