David, Why is Toyota still sending an established model like the RAV4 Hybrid to press fleets when they cannot supply their customers in a timely manner?
Different work ethics and quality standards. Even when it comes to cleanliness of the country’s streets. Japan doesn’t have much litter compared to U.S.
Does the Canadian made Rav-4 market only cover the U.S?I know that for many years Toyota have had the same models with different trim packages that maybe offered in the US as a Japanese or North American made vehicle ex.1998 Toyota Camry was made in Japan and Georgetown, Kentucky U.S.A.
I believe that they are still roughly the same in terms of the assembled comprised parts, but the fit and finish is unparalleled compared to the tolerance standards of Japan. The Camrys in the 90s and early 2000s, for example, have a noticeable difference with certain parts having beefier components, less rattles, and more refined sounds in the cabin. I'd also argue the paint usually holds up much better if the vehicle is produced in Japan. I have an '01 Lexus IS300 and the quality of paint, as well as the fit and finish, is second to none. I also have an '04 Camry LE V6 made in Kentucky with 209,000 miles, and while it is a great vehicle, the paint quality on the bumpers a bit more lackluster.
Well, I don’t think anyone really cares, nor anyone ever demands that. You will act like a fool if you tell others that my car is over yours because of this😄😄
canada build is suck!my trd 2023 rav4 is build in canada honestly is suck!lot of issue specialy rattle on the body door roof rack it has a leak on my hatch when i go to car wash.
The RAV4 Prime is built in the same factory, on the exact same production line as the other RAV4s in Japan. It is not built in low volume, custom factory. I should know, I've been to both the Canadian and the Japanese factory more than 10 times.
@@justinchlan7893 As you may or may not know, takt time is different for each model. So at Takaoka, for example, they produce RAV4 Prime but also the new Crown and the Venza - each one having a different takt time based on customer demand. Multiple RAV4s are produced there on the same line, with takt time of about 55 seconds for the RAV4 line vs about 60 seconds for the TMMC. I think the TMMK takt time is even longer, about 70 sec. By the way, I am a former manufacturing engineer that designed these equipment.
I love Japanese built Toyotas 😊👍
My wife told me the extra multimeters really work
I wonder if Rolls Royce has the narrowest gaps since it’s so expensive
Surprisingly, the custom built cars often have larger gaps because they cannot replicate the accuracy of today's modern highly automated machines
@@AutomotivePress wow good to know! I never knew! Thanks David

You’re not comparing the same side. Dealer one told me that’s on purpose. Not sure if true but compare same side!
I love this comparison
Why it is that some cultures do somethings better than others intrigues me.

Soooo true! My mother went to Paris late in life and what most impressed her was how they too were so fastidiously clean inside and outside.
Can you do tacoma and 4Runner comparison ?
Japan is no.1 in automobile manufacturing, and no one can compete him.❤❤❤

Can you buy a Japan made rav in the US?
Yes. My limited I'm waiting for. 6 to 8 more weeks before I get it.
Makes you question what else that you can't see that wasn't put together as well.
Seems like a management failure if they can’t maintain the same specs at different locations.
Thought you said on the car care nut channel that it doesn’t matter. I guess so more about reliability than fit and finish?
Wait, he was on "the car care nut" channel?

I love my toyota 2011 4cyl rav4 sport (JT…serial number)
Where is the 2023 Toyota Highlander hybrid built? Not the grand Highlander but just a regular one.
Yay Prime. Stunning Tesla like gaps.
Thank you
Which year Rav4s are built in Japan?
If I were ever to get a Toyota it would be from Japan. I like my ford too much though so maybe in another life.
That's why I drive a 4runner
These can be adjusted. That’s not a real parameter of quality.
Cars made outside Japan is shyt.... Japan is the best when it comes to manufacturing.
All this guy does in his videos is pull out that orange stick.
Isn't Canadian a little bigger then

The year is not the same and even the trim from woodland 2023 to a prime not from this year
How compare it to a tesla
Clowning on the Canadians 😝😝

You're comparing a rav PRIME low production build to a high volume Hybrid build.
Apples to oranges
