This is a great thing to make for my iPad! I carry it EVERYWHERE, and it I make it with two of these covers back to back, I can also carry my keyboard. I love it! Thank you!
I have watched several people do this pattern. This really helps me to decide what to do & how to do it. Thanks👍👍 I am beginning to understand the pattern now.
I'd suggest if you have such thick fabric, or using a quilt like you did...sew/baste the edges together so that they down get twisted or maneuvered out of alignment. Then you won't THNIK you caught both pieces when you are putting on your fabric to cover the seamed edges, you'll know you have. Then there is nothing to cover up at the end. 😉😉 Good luck on all your future videos.
tim bought the pattern and watched her video and your video. a little concerned about the zipper pull but think i'll be able to do it. going to make the medium one for a kindle pouch for a birthday present. just love being crafty. thanks for being our crafty tim barbara
Thank you for this tutorial . It was very clear and easy to follow. I looked at so many for this pouch. I really do appreciate the measurements also to help me understand how to measure and cut the fabric,.
love your video, I got a little lost with the sizes, but I will rewatch it. Great gift idea to have ready for those surprise party invitations the kids get.
I was looking for fun last minute stuff to sew for my family and was thinking you haven’t posted in a while and WooHoo! Another one of your inspirational sewing videos popped up in my feed! Thanks for another great video!
You’re the second person to ask lol! It’s actually a bag by a company called Initials. I’ll have to investigate how to make my own version that would not necessarily copy it but show people how to do something similar.
Thanks so much for this video! I attempted to buy a pattern from a company but ended up getting a virus instead 😡 I will check out the pattern from the company you suggested tho! Love your videos! 🎉❤
@@timothytotten9409 Too bad we can’t share pictures..I used a flower print with red, black and white coloring. It’s very cute. I’m going to make one for my sunglasses.
I love the projects you share! You explain things so well. I need a wrist strap because of mobility problems, where on this would you recommend stitching one in?
I have recently seen information about using Elmer’s School Glue, set with an iron to dry, to baste seams together. I have my bottle ready and am about to use it on a regular zipper bag, and I wonder if it might be effective on bias cutting/sewing lines, such as the one on this project, to eliminate stretch? I plan to try it, and also was wondering about your opinion/experience. My thoughts are to use the glue to hold the fabric, especially on curves, but not sew through it.
Could you use a regular zipper? Or does it have to be the continuous zipper tape without the zipper pulls attached (when purchased)? I hope that made sense! Otherwise I love this project!🎉❤
Of course! Just cut off the end so you can get the pull off cause you need to separate the two sides of the zipper and use just one side. Then you need to re-attach the zipper pull. Just check the zipper because not all can be folded in half and rezipped. The teeth are sometimes directional based upon the specific zipper design. Hope that makes sense!
I started to separate zipper before cutting size needed because….it only takes one side of zipper thus I still have length on other side of zipper for future project that may need longer length. Hope that makes sense.
I saw another video of this and although I have not tried it, it seemed to me that those corners would be too bulky once you turn it. If I make one, I will alter the corners to avoid that. One way would be to make the outside fabrics slightly larger than batting. This would require you to make your own quilted fabric though. You could also clip the corners diagonally before putting the binding.
Not a good teacher. Need to spend more footage on explaining and less time sewing and clipping as it is confusing - especially placing fabrics together.

I do appreciate you purchased the pattern even though you didn’t use it. 🎉
I love to keep the creators going because they inspire me! And this one is so clever. They’ve got a lot of great patterns on their Etsy page.

I’d love to hear how a back to back one works out!
I never thought to purchase a quilted blanket to cut up for projects. Great thrift purchase

Thanks👍👍 I am beginning to understand the pattern now.
You’re welcome 😊
So smart to purchase a quilt!
I’ve watched so many videos of people making this pattern in the last two days. I really think I like your technique best!
Well thank you! I really enjoyed making this one and figuring out which parts I would adjust to work with my skills.

What a fun easy project to make and have on hand for a cute gift with a few fun items too!😊
Love your attention to detail at the zipper application.... one of my pet peeves having the stitching "showing" on the wrong side...

Thank you for such simple instructions. I’ve wanted to make one for my kindle. This odd awesome
Nice that you credit the pattern designer (& bought it)
Hey! Thanks for the shout out! These were sooo easy to make, I’ve done a TON of them already!
I love your video! I’ve been enjoying the rest of your channel too. Thanks for turning me onto this pattern. Keep up the good work!
I made this out of my premade Walmart quilt! So many uses,
Got my quilted fabric (premade quilt) at a local thrift store - Queen size - $9.00)
So cool!
That was fun!! I really liked your method. New subscriber!
I love the look of the angled zipper. That is really cute. I love the idea of using the bedspread.
Did you make the bag hanging behind you in this video? I really like that.

Loved making mine for my iPad.
What color fabrics did you use?

I’d put it along the size where the zipper pull goes on. That way it’s near the zipper and along the side where the seam goes in.

Let me know how it goes!
Great job!
The other pieces you have might make pockets for your cord and mouse

Thanks so much for this I love it and I already made one thanks for sharing your technique❣️✂️🪡🧵❤️😀💗💕
I have tried making these but the bottom corners doesn’t look even because one corner is bulkier because of the binding.

Where did you get the zippers from?
If you want to get long zippers like I use, check out this link: www.amazon.com/dp/B09YHFNK4V?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
Can a wrist strap be added.
I think it could easily be added! Great idea.
Just so hard to get the zipper in.
Yeah, it takes practice.
I don't see the link for the pattern

I had no problem following the very detailed instructions. Thanks for an exceptional video!!!
