  • The engine that is actually driving all the commotion is envy, competition, hunger, lust, mimetic desire. Where do these conflicts come from? Scripture tells us. It all arises from our imitative wants.
So how can this kind of thing be fixed? Can it be? Of course, this is a fallen world, and there is not a nice little automatic solution to every relationship problem. But the Holy Spirit is loose in the world, and one of the things He is doing is the vast and glorious work of reconciliation. But this reconciliation is always based on the bold proclamation of the substitutionary death of Jesus Christ on a bloody cross.
So true reconciliation always has blood all over it. Nothing “rational” about it at all.

Pastor Wilson, it is a true gift that God has bestowed upon you such that, not only do you demonstrate most excellent "winsome tartness" but you bring crystal clarity to the thorniest of issues. Maranatha!

The last day of the Church Age will be the same day that Christ pulls all of His children out. In the Lexicon it says those who are alive and remain are caught up “at once” (immediately) in a cloud, after the dead in Christ are raised first. The world will be without anyone who indwells the Holy Spirit, and that’s when the tribulation will begin. Do you seriously think that Jesus would put his children (who he gave his life to save) through seven years of devastation, destruction, dispute, darkness, deception and death?

What does a debate on eschatology have to do with a clear lesson on the evils of covetousness?
