Simon's eyes at the end of this episode always make me sad. He definitely had at least a small hope that she was pregnant. That way he technically didn't break the vow on his own, but still could give Daphne happiness.
Great reaction, guys. When he took her hand, he was trying to find a way back to her. I wonder if anyone noticed Simon tearing up when he heard Daphne crying.Her not being with child would have so many changes for him. Remember, he said if she wasn't with child, he would leave, and they'd live separate lives. With all their drama, they really love each other, and somewhere inside, he secretly hoped that she was pregnant. If so, he could stay by justifying it by thinking he was tricked and didn't break his vow.

Please keep in mind the timeframe that they're portraying. It's one thing if you are up and about and may be able to determine your menstrual but she got up from sleeping and checked to make sure.

Unfortunately,I won't be here for Season 2. I tried watching. I, through episodes 1 and 2, it took me an entire month. I know others enjoyed it, but Anthony and Kate's story didn't give me the feels. I didn't believe any of it. I will be back when you guys get to Queen Charlotte. It gave me all the feels and tears.
Yea I enjoyed Season 1 and Queen Charlotte a lot. But season 2 didn't hit for me, even though I did like the younger sister and I started to like Anthony. The main issue I think was the chemistry between the two wasn't as good as Simon and Daphne or George and Charlotte.

I hope season 3 brings more than season 2 did. I think they were trying too much to bring the fire from the first season and missed big time. I knew it wasn't going to do it when they had Anthony repeating some of the same lines Simon spoke. For instance, Simon told Daphne he was born ready, no spoilers, but then Anthony pops up and says , " I was born ready. Writers come on WRITE!! 😔
Yeah, about Bi Benedict... A LOT of people got those vibes when watching this season. Myself, included... But, unfortunately, the Bridgerton books are PAINFULLY heterosexual. (Like I'm pretty sure the gay relationship featured in the show does not exist in the books) Some people have brought up that they could potentially do a genderbend of Benedicts story and love interest and it would still work perfectly fine... But I honestly think that that's just wishful thinking and that they won't be going that route... They aren't that brave. And I think, contractually, they have to keep the couples love stories relatively the same as their source material... And so genderbending his love interest into a man would probably be too big of a change. I would absolutely LOVE it tho, in theory and would watch/read the fuck out of it... And there are plenty of fanfictions online of Benedict as bisexual that were inspired by this season of the show.... But yeah, that most likely isn't going to happen in the canon of the show, sadly.
It really really did feel like that's what they were leading up to the with the scenes and dialogue that Benedict had in this season...you definitely weren't just imagining it. They backtrack about it quite heavily in season 2 lmao. There is like ZERO bisexual vibes from him in season 2...But yeah there were VIBES in season 1, for sure.
Personally Season 2 didn't do it for me how s1 did. I just couldn't get into Anthony and Kate story, it just didn't give me any feels or chemistry compare to the Duke and Daphne. I know the actors did what they could but so far my least fav. Also any update with the full episodes dropping on patreon I was really looking forward to watch you guys uncut reactions?
