I got no issues with you, brotha, you're a good gamer, and I've watched several of your long plays in the past. But as for this game, it's nothing special, just more of what we've been getting. Everytime you play the game, your going to be fighting the same bugs in the same places, with the same storyline, and they will continue to make money off the nostalgia of the franchise we all love. All that they could have done, such as a sandbox universe, where they create the features, and everything "Alien", and let the player determine how they play the game. I never was a big of evolving aliens into predaliens, etc, and the concept of shooting an alien until that red "HP" bar goes down to zero, is absurd. Nothing more than a bullet magnet. I don't mind fighting numbers, but it's getting old fighting monsters that end in some final "boss battle", in real life, there are no "bosses", and even the strongest of men can be laid to waste with a single bullet. So much they could have done, but instead, they took the easy route. Mindless, endless killing, and the gaming industry is dying because of the love of money, and lack of passion.

Where in the original movie did the Alien hippity-hop about on all fours while screeching into the air every 7 seconds? This take on the xenos is sooo uninspired and bland. Could replace them with generic space-cockroach design and the game would play exactly the same. The fans of the Alien franchise expect complete dogshit and by God they're gonna get it. "Faithful" my ass.
They got the pulse rifle sound effect right, the radar beep, and the alien sounds. You're shooting down swarms of aliens and it was 40 bucks for the ps5 version...I can't complain
I like what I see from the game, especially since its a first game by this new Studio. Could have used a delay to refine combat(Marines are little to fast, and Aliens shouldn't be stalling if passed by) or syncing voices to the character.
Read the book Aliens: Infiltrator recently. Didnt know it was a prequel to FireTeam. Was surprised to find out the story continues as the book ends on a cliffhanger.!

Apparently Disney greenlit the development of a sequel to Isolation last year or something. Nothing wrong with a fun little action-horror coop shooter in the meantime
It would be good if we could get a GI Joe game that looks like this. One in which you could also create and name your own Joe, and choose your rank, weapons, and what you specialty is, along with being able to customize your weapons, clothing, and vehicle throughout the game.
So you would get to choose a fire team and take on Cobra. As each class has different skills and weapons, you have to choose accordingly. That would be great
That's what I've been saying for years this is a cool game and it does some cool fan service but it needs to be a lot better. The way they're rebooting the turtles beat them up they need to do like ThunderCats or GI Joe or He-Man or something like that. All that stuff is cool again thankfully so they need to jump on this stuff.

Very cool game play. One thing I never got was they've know for years now about the acid blood so why don't have something to neutralize it that people can use? A type of armor or something the Marines can wear. Probably doesn't fit the story is my guess.
Only known substance that can't deflect acid is xeno husks. Getting enough for one suit is obviously not a thing that anyone wants to undertake. But then again, xeno husks don't do so well against bullets, so....
Well take this for consideration They need to be Versatile so when they say encounter the Predator or a bunch of rouge Synthetics, they’re going to start shooting bullets, plasma, flamethrowers, hell include a Blade or two and having an Armor ment to fight one foe (say xenos) is going to be shit once we have the other 2 show up unexpectedly so it makes sense for them to focus on having armor that’s a 6/10 against all 3 instead of armor that’s a 10/10 against one type
This does exist in the lore and in Aliens 3, with the apesuit designs that are incredibly bulky and large suits that are resistant too the acid blood. Hydrophobic materials are also capable of stopping the acid blood from melting through such as the Cold Forges hull. The apesuits are also incredibly bulky, hence why they aren't used that often. As for xenomorph husks, they're capable of deflecting the pulse rifle rounds which are firing 10x24 caseless explosive round that partially penetrates armour then explodes, and retain their acid resistance after the explosion. The reason it isn't used, again, is that the future M4X marine armour (future of the armour past the M3 Pattern Armor shown in the video), has acid resistance and is capable of being upgraded to complete, full body acid immunity. It has no mobility issues and the materials can be made in such a way that you still have mobility and won't have compromised integrity from having to extract the chitin from a dead xenomorph and trying to shape it how you want to conform too the human body. Basically, xenomorph chitin is a 10/10 armour in the lore, but so is the marine armour like the prototype M4X.
Read Aliens genocide it’s a 4 part comic it explains why they can’t stop the acid. But they do create a suit that kind of neutralizes it, it’s just not full proof.
They couldn’t even bother to have characters mouths move when speaking…makes it look like a damn mobile game. Skimming through looking at the gameplay I can’t say I’m too impressed either

tbh indeed it looks cheap but really fun, kinda like something you would play on a friday night with friends, specially if they like Aliens. Hope they improve the game, moutsinc, different enemies, or weekly game modes could make it a really good game.

I'm not sure how much leniency that deserves. There should be a standard, if the company is too small or inexperienced to meet that standard they should work on a much smaller cheaper project first to get funding and learn the core mechanics of a game. In no other business would the consumer accept an inferior product just bc the company is smaller. In the real world companies arent doing it for you or us, they're doing it for them and money, welcome to reality. Not to mention any die hard aliens fan will buy it and enjoy it simply bc its delving back in that universe and lore. To be clear, I'm talking about frame rate drops, audio issues, matchmaking, balance, UI etc. The basic core mechanics that make a game playable. The same mechanics that if broken should not be released. Lastly, I've played it, beat it an enjoyed it while it lasted. I'll hop on horde mode once and a blue moon for some mindless fun. And that's cool with me. As for grinding when the starter weapons are better than anything unlocked? No thanks

Probably scrapped to avoid friendly fire from the splash damage, or they couldn't license enough of the IP for the weapons to integrate the grenade launchers which would have taken longer.

I think it's a good amount, really makes you feel like you're fighting the xenomorphs since if there's a great number if them they'll swarm their enemies
Thanks for the upload. Considering this is the first game made by a small company, I don't think they did too bad. However, I would have liked to see better animations, some lip sync, and better voice acting/direction. As it is, the game looks OK, but I'm not gonna buy it with those QTEs in there.
True. Think we carried 7 magazines regularly, up to 10 if you wanted the extra weight. All in all, around 300 rounds, give or take. But I do love the sound of that pulse rifle.

This game is okay but it's a bit costly for how it is. If this turns into a No man's Sky situation where the developers make it way better then that'd be great. But currently, it acts more like a 5-10$ game given how it is now

Looks pretty fun. Definitely looks like something I'd like to play with my bro and some of our friends. Only thing I don't really like is the music and the hit markers/X = kill. Just very distracting and immersion breaking. Other than that, it looks like it could be fun.
You can turn both the markers and the sound effect it makes. However, with soooooo many corpses laying about, you’ll waste a shit ton of ammo blasting at nothing. I’m good with turning the visual X off, but hearing that sound of the kill feels comfortable. It’s the only way to be sure.
you guys were right. I bought it and those X's can be really helpful. I'm really lovin the game so far. I wish it wasn't as laggy, but as a huge aliens fan, I'm really enjoying this game so far.
Is it just me or does this game look and feel half finished? No lip sync on the models. Graphic look cutting edge if it was made for Xbox 360 or PS3. Seriously looks and feels like you get a better aliens experience with colonial marines after you apply the AI fix. This better be a budget title. How do you not top a game that’s 8 years old? Couldn’t agree more. I’ve never played colonial marines (for obvious reasons) but at least it got the art style down really well and it was dark. This doesn’t feel scary or even all that interesting. It’s like a basic PS3 3rd person shooter with a license to use the xenomorph design. It just misses the mark in so many ways.

@bingly bingler I don't know about the extended universe, as extended universes tend to be flimsy garbage. Just that it's much neater to just do what they did with Ash in Alien where he was programmed to not have the laws in the first place which is why he did what he did. It's more streamlined than trying to rationalise their actions in any other way. Only reason why you'd try to rationalise and mitigate the AI's actions is if you're going to play them off as having been the "good guy" later on, but it doesn't happen in the story.

Surprisingly enjoyable! Level design, storyline, xenology, and alien subspecies were faithful to the Aliens series we are in awe about.

The prequel to this game made me look for the game play. I'm very happy with what I've found.
The game is simply great. I liked it so much i played all four campaigns one after another!

Any game can pretty much be 5 hours. Darksouls can be finished in like 6 so I don't see the point of that but sure.

@@codybarlik4524 The game is ok for what it is, dumb fun, sure. Though I see this excuse or free pass from fans all the time that well it's a small company so it's ok. I'm not sure how much leniency that deserves. There should be a standard, if the company is too small or inexperienced to meet that standard they should work on a much smaller cheaper project first to get funding and learn the core mechanics of a game. In no other business would the consumer accept an inferior product just bc the company is smaller. In the real world companies arent doing it for you or us, they're doing it for them and money, welcome to reality. Not to mention any die hard aliens fan will buy it and enjoy it simply bc its delving back in that universe and lore.
To be clear, I'm talking about frame rate drops, audio issues, matchmaking, balance, UI etc. The basic core mechanics that make a game playable. The same mechanics that if broken should not be released.
Lastly, I've played it, beat it an enjoyed it while it lasted. I'll hop on horde mode once and a blue moon for some mindless fun. And that's cool with me. As for grinding when the starter weapons are better than anything unlocked? No thanks
I don’t understand why ya’ll are so fkn negative about the game. It’s such a fun way of playing. Instead of complaining and being disappointed, you could also enjoy shooting Xenos with bunch of friends. There are not allot of Alien games out there. Let’s show some love!!!!

Probably scrapped to avoid friendly fire from the splash damage, or they couldn't license enough of the IP for the weapons to integrate the grenade launchers which would have taken longer.

It seems like there's way too many enemies. Sometimes it's nice to have a lull and have them pop up when you least expect it
I think it's a good amount, really makes you feel like you're fighting the xenomorphs since if there's a great number if them they'll swarm their enemies

This game is on sale during the Steam Winter Sale, I was on the fence about buying it but after seeing some game play here I think I'll pick it up.
Thanks for the upload. Considering this is the first game made by a small company, I don't think they did too bad. However, I would have liked to see better animations, some lip sync, and better voice acting/direction. As it is, the game looks OK, but I'm not gonna buy it with those QTEs in there.

True. Think we carried 7 magazines regularly, up to 10 if you wanted the extra weight. All in all, around 300 rounds, give or take. But I do love the sound of that pulse rifle.

i enjoyed this still better then Alien3 and Colonial marines in most parts. they started this game development started after colonial marines near its release i think took while to finish back then it would be alright, but still looks fun to play.
Turns out this game has a neat little story. Nice.

This game is okay but it's a bit costly for how it is. If this turns into a No man's Sky situation where the developers make it way better then that'd be great. But currently, it acts more like a 5-10$ game given how it is now

Only thing I don't really like is the music and the hit markers/X = kill. Just very distracting and immersion breaking.
Other than that, it looks like it could be fun.
You can turn both the markers and the sound effect it makes.
However, with soooooo many corpses laying about, you’ll waste a shit ton of ammo blasting at nothing. I’m good with turning the visual X off, but hearing that sound of the kill feels comfortable.

The level design is insanely accurate to the films
Is it just me or does this game look and feel half finished? No lip sync on the models. Graphic look cutting edge if it was made for Xbox 360 or PS3. Couldn’t agree more. I’ve never played colonial marines (for obvious reasons) but at least it got the art style down really well and it was dark. This doesn’t feel scary or even all that interesting. It’s like a basic PS3 3rd person shooter with a license to use the xenomorph design. It just misses the mark in so many ways.

@bingly bingler I don't know about the extended universe, as extended universes tend to be flimsy garbage. Just that it's much neater to just do what they did with Ash in Alien where he was programmed to not have the laws in the first place which is why he did what he did. It's more streamlined than trying to rationalise their actions in any other way. Only reason why you'd try to rationalise and mitigate the AI's actions is if you're going to play them off as having been the "good guy" later on, but it doesn't happen in the story.
