I like the murky, turbid tanks. It makes sense a lot of fish show great color and breed since the water is often like that in the wild. It definitely seems to be working well for corys, I'll have to try it
Great tour! I was so exited to see an updated version pop up on my feed. Lots of interesting tanks. I think people forget that the habitats these fish are found in are not pristine aquascapes. Would love to see a reptile room tour at some point.
Truly spectacular tanks and fish. So naturally grimy and mossy and absolutely packed with life. Love the way you put your environments together and mix plants to create plentiful pockets of hiding places. Would love to know how or where you acquire your plants and the various sticks. Everything I see in the shops costs about 100 bucks for just a few plants and god forbid you want a piece of wood, or you have to get a 2nd job. Curious what your water is like.. acidic / soft etc.. how often do you change water and what kind of filtration etc. Anyway, LOVE your tanks. So nice.
How many of the dwarf gold barbs do you have? Mine are way more shy than yours and I’m curious if it could be due to numbers. Also, are there still shrimp in with the peas?
We have 12 of the P. gelius, Kaitlin! I forget how many you have but it may be a numbers thing. They LOVE hardscape, we’re definitely going to revamp that tank a bit but I think the cover really helps too.
napoensis will usually lay a cluster of like 10 very small eggs while weitzmani eggs will by much larger and usually 1-3 or so at a time. I'm guessing based on that random egg on the glass that it's weitzmani.
Not meaning to intrude. I just offer a tip as someone who has had filterless tanks for a long long time … eventually you need something that will eat the waste that settles in the substrate because it will build up and become a issue
Thanks for the tour. I really enjoy seeing a working Fishroom. I’m planning to buy a small shed (wood floor/metal walls) and turn it into a fish house. Do you know if I need to reinforce the floor? I’m planning to get four 40 breeders, a couple of 33 longs, either a 75 or a 60, and 10’s or 20’s. I can’t wait! I’ve had 9 months to think about what fish I truly love and want to keep. I managed to get frog bit to out compete my duckweed in my two outside tubs.
Id recommend a concrete slab for the floor if you could. With the price of wood these days, i dont even know if it would be much more expensive. If youre unable to do concrete, you'll definitely want to re-enforce the floors.

Great tour. We sometimes forget the difference between a 'show tank' in the living room and a working fish room with breeding being a high priority.
Running it back to support the channel! Appreciate you guys 🙏
Awesome, thanks for the support
@SteenfottAquatics just as good the second time around!

Nice tour! Tanks are looking healthy and fish are thriving.
I've been gone for a while. So much has changed. Loved the video and fish room!
I actually appreciate seeing dirty tanks because it makes me feel better about mine, the hobby is not pristine clean like a lot of channels portray
5:25 Yes those are Brochis (Corydoras) bethanae. Their type locality is Rio Blanco, Peru, so you have the real deal here.
Awesome, thank!!
Great tour. I’d love to see the reptile room some time.
Great Tour! Love to see the tanks which are not classified by most as beautiful! Looks like some in my room and the fish are thriving!

I really like your channel, especially tours of fish stores and fish rooms.

I am finally getting caught up. Thanks for the tour. Congrats you two!
I absolutely adore the driftwood you have in the tank with the darter tetras. It's extremely dynamic looking
I absolutely love the tour! Beautiful fish and great fishroom. You have such a great mix of fish between Cory’s and Loaches, and Cichlids. Very fun!
"They wouldn't fart on a butterfly"😂😂😂 I love your commentary almost as much as all of your gorgeous fish!
Somehow missed this comment haha
@SteenfottAquatics no worries, there's a lot of comments 😄
I like your community oddball tank the best. Lots of different Fish all behaving themselves and enjoying being there.
6:24 ! For some one that hates moss that tanks badass
I think its hard to make moss looks good. Normally it just collects all the mulm. But for some reason it stays clean here.
Best video title ever ❤
“Pregger’s right in the middle” 😂
I love when he says things like that 😑😂
You have a shiner stuck in the air lift tube.
I actually saw that when i was editing it and ran in and saved him. We were lucky i didnt wait awhile to edit it.
I saw that northfin in there! When u can, let me know your long term thoughts on it . Appreciate the tour!
It has quickly become one of our favorite foods. Really appreciate you finally getting some in our hands.
Really liking the line, I think Bug Pro may be my fave.
@ that seems to the same for most
@@SteenfottAquatics that’s great! Thanks for your feedback!
10:50 Price point bare minimum for such a beautiful fish should be $18.

@ I have 12 as well so must not be a numbers thing but hardscape is my problem, they love it too much and constantly hide in it.
Baby?! Man how many videos did I miss 😳
I had a spiney eel named Hank and he was my favorite fish I’ve ever had when I have more room I need to breed them
Spinys are the best. Underrated for sure!
The fish room looks awesome! You guys are awesome, your commentaries are really complimentary, which is super cool and entertaining also. Fun watch 😁
Is the coop light going to be discontinued?
Also are those camo shirts meant to help you blend in? So there's no reflection? All I saw were floating heads lol 😂
@@AquaticMoose I believe the lights are getting discontinued until they can find a new manufacturer.
@@SteenfottAquatics gotcha, thanks!

Good to know, im much more excited about them being weitzmani than napos.

Great video of your Offish😊
Lmao 😂 with the. but it leaked right out of the box sooo.... excellent. ❤😂😅😂❤
Whats worse is i waited like 5 months to even take it out of the box. So i cant even return it haha
1:38 lmao
Sweet video.. My convicts stopped breeding once i took them out my turle tank..and would a brisle nose eat the eggs ??
Excellent video. I love your fish room.

@ thank you!
I love this! I have a retirement tank and a special needs tank also
Its almost necessary when you have this many fish/tanks
Thanks for sharing, really want to get started with rainbow shiners
Totally worthwhile to keep
Awesome fishroom
great tour!
Would Wadai nip angelfish fins? Beautiful tanks guys!
The Wadai are great and never bother any of our other fish, I think you’d be just fine.
@steenfottexotics i appreciate the reply! Thank you!
Tanks look great if not the fish would be telling its not but differently breeding going on so tanks are spot on. Thanks for sharing
Now i dont feel so bad about my fishroom ,happy but dirty
What garters do you keep? Didn’t know you had reptiles
Amazing 🎉
Emperor tetras on top, I love breeding them!
❤❤❤❤❤
Awesome.
Ron Coleman in sacramento will take any convicts! For his fish lab at Sac State U.
Amazing video

Aw, this got me 🥹I love my Neely! He appreciates the sentiments!
Fishroom is awesome
