The word taxonomy comes from the biological classification method called Linnaean taxonomy. However, if you are need a custom post type, then categories and tags may not look suitable for all content types. If you want to organize your content more then you have to create multiple taxonomies.
For instance, you can create a custom post type called ‘Restaurant’ and sort it using a custom taxonomies called ‘Price Range’, ' Regions ' and ' Cuisines '. You can add Price Ranges terms like Cheap, Normal and Expensive you want. This would allow you, and your readers to easily sort Restaurants by Price range, Regions.
