Drake needs to tap into motives that made him make his writers drop songs like Too Much and You and the 6. I am a 63 year old African American Woman and I listened to all genres of music.
They are not even in the same ethical musical genre.
How can I put it.
I love music.
Drake for me personally.
Drake is definitely talented.
But I would never put him in the genre with Kendrick Lamar.
I’m also and African American Woman and a bit older than you. The problem is that Drake put himself into this conversation or battle. He believes that he’s the best rapper and get’s upset over Kendrick’s Grammies and Pulitzer . If he was willing to stay in the lane that you say he belongs in, we wouldn’t be here. He also inserts himself into things in our culture that has nothing to do with him. The worst, for me, was him writing a song to dis a black female shooting victim (Meg Thee Stallion).
That had nothing to do with him, but he used his platform to go after the victim. We all saw the video of that woman bleeding with helicopter hovering and catching the blood as she stepped on the highway, but Drake still inserted himself to take her down. Probably because she wouldn’t date or sleep with him, because he has done the same thing to other black women. For some reason Drake, and some other famous black males, take it as an insult and get mad if a black woman doesn’t want to sleep with them.
