Hello Friends,
In this video, i will go to visit Ravana Secret Cave in Srilanka which is located in Ella. Ella is 73 kms away from Nuwara Eliya. I came by train from Nuwara eliya to Ella which took me 3 hours to reach.
This is the cave where Ravana used to live and has also kept Sita in custody in this Mahal. Ravana is described in the Hindu epic Ramayana as the great king of Lanka which also comprises of Meghnath ( Indrajit ), Kumbhkaran, Sughriv, Bali, Vibhishan, Angad, and many others. Ravana is described as having been a great devotee and follower of Shiva, a great scholar, a capable ruler and a maestro of the Veena, but someone who wished to overpower the Devas.
There are no tickets to watch this cave although some people will force you to take unauthorized tickets to enter this cave.
Ravana cave is located near to Ravana falls where Sita used to take bath.
Going to Ravana cave is quite difficult and tiring task as this cave is located in mountains and you have to walk right upto the hill to enter this cave. You have to do trekking of almost 3 kms to reach this cave. This cave is itself very scary and i went alone to this cave. It was horrifying
experience. I hope you will like the video.

it's historical place why srilankan government have not made this place as historical monuments with proper maintenance and make it a tourist attraction. Ravana was a great era of Ramayana. Jai Sree Ram

And then there is the bridge, not a physical one but a sort of sand deposits between India and Sri Lanka.

Brother I have heared somewhere that some local tribes of Sri Lanka took the body of Ravana and preserved in this cave . They still safeguard Ravana's body in this cave . How far this analogy do you believe to be true ?

Aryans migrated to sri lanka 2500 years ago from west bengol & odisha. They mixed with locals & made the sinhalese nation. About 200 years later buddhism was introduced to sri lanka by chakravarthi ashoka. Bihari people migrated to here & mixed with sinhalese on that time. Now we are sinhalese buddhists. Sinhalese is an indo aryan language. That is why this person identify it is similar to hindi. But linguists say maharashtri prakrit ( todays marathi)is more closer to sinhala language. Modern DNA studies say sinhalese have 70 to 82% west bengali, 12% gujarathi , 12% punjabi genetic affinity. Although we are much much closer to tamil nadu, genetically, language wise & culturally we are closer to north indians.( All sinhalese love north indians as they were taught this history which is acompulsary subject in government schools )

Brother, Just or your information that the cave doesn't end. It has a narrow pathway over the dark point inside. It direct you to three different locations 1.Nuwara Eliya Seetha Amman Kovil
2.Nil Diya Pokuna
3.Duwwaa Temple.
The caves has a subway to those three locations where no one can go now.

ये शायद वही गुफा है जहां मेघनाद युद्ध से पहले अपनी कुलदेवी का यज्ञ करने गया था. और विभीषण हनुमान को लेकर पहुंच गया था ताकि यज्ञ पूरा ना हो सके. विभीषण ने बोला भी था कि रास्ता बहुत दुर्गम है.
