Investigators in this box are brand new from Arkham Files Calvin and Daniela are from Arkham Horror 3rd edition Agatha, Preston, Carson and Father are from Mansions of the Madness Sefina is from Arkham Horror: the Card Game - The Path to Carcosa
Even though this is one of the weakest big box expansions, as in no sideboard, I find this to be a great addition to the series. I've enjoyed the new investigators and ancient ones it contains. The new corruption condition is a good balance to the advance the active mystery mechanism added earlier in the series, as some people have found that mechanism to be too forgiving. The new spells and items, along with all the extra cards are great for adding more unpredictability to the game, making sure every game is fresh. The new resource mechanism can be a life saver, literally. I never cared about creating a campaign, although I hear that others have wanted more than what Fantasy flight put together in this expansion. The personal stories for me are a mix bag. For some, completing the objective is less rewarding than the punishment received from failing, which can be very detrimental. Having personal objectives also derails the investigators from the main objective. It's a take it or leave it addition for me. I include them to my games infrequently. Good unboxing video
Finally ordered this tonight to complete the set. Not a big deal that it has no side board as I don't use them. It's an amazing game with so much content I've yet to win but I love coming back for the misery 😂
Thanks for the overview! I don't think it's a big deal that there isn't an extra board. Personal stories for all the investigators is worth as much if not more and they'll see more frequent use than a sideboard anyway.
didn't get a chance to tackle this one let, had all of Eldritch Horror since last year. Only played it four times, twice base game, one with Edjept side board and another time with the Antarctica side board. Really fun game I keep coming back to, some nasty cards that basically screw you over. I had one that discarded cards from the expedition deck every Mythos phase, unless you defeated this epic monster that was very nasty. Basically ended the game.
@@RollingSolo yes i'am thinking about getting mansions, but i heard that there is a condition where the caracter goes crazy and the winning strategy becomes betrayal or smething similiar. and today to help on my indecision i've watched your unboxing of the cthulhu : death may die and got very interested in this game, but i always get bummed out on the kickstater exclusives since they will not be sold normally i believe. (sorry for any misspelling english is not my first language)
Don’t be bummed out on Cthulhu Death May Die Kickstarter. The retail version has almost everything the Kickstarter does gameplay wise. It’s still worth every penny. I highly recommend it!

Isn't this the legend of the big empty box.
Mine certainly wasn’t empty haha
Rolling Solo I think he means the fact it's a big box but no new board expansion.
True, that was a change but the contents are on the outside of the box so it’s no secret!
Investigators in this box are brand new from Arkham Files
Calvin and Daniela are from Arkham Horror 3rd edition
Agatha, Preston, Carson and Father are from Mansions of the Madness
Sefina is from Arkham Horror: the Card Game - The Path to Carcosa
Thanks for the rundown. Very helpful for viewers!
When you will record next Eldritch Horror Playthrough in the future then include personal quests please!
Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll take this into consideration if that happens :)

Thanks for that breakdown! That’ll be useful for others researching into it. Can’t wait to merge it in myself. See you around my friend!

I agree! I like what this one brought to the game. :)

I love this game. Probably played it around 40+ times easily. Happy to hear you found it fun as well. Minus the nasty deaths. haha
Greetings Adam i hope you and your family had a great New Year
Hello Gary! All the best to you and yours my friend. :D
Hi, in your opinion for a solo player which one of those 3 are better. arkham horror board game, eldrich horror ou mansions of madness? thank you
That’s a tough choice my friend! Qi like all three but I think if I was forced to choose I would go with Mansions.

Rip to anyone who brought this thinking they were getting a new board.
Hey, thanks for watching! Good thing the contents are written on the outside of the box ;D
