It’s nice to see a sugar free candy recipe that uses allulose. I hate when ppl make keto caramel recipes and use erithrytol without telling people it recrystallizes which isn’t cool bc it’s expensive and ppl don’t wanna waste their stuff. I love allulose and it’s what I use too :) thanks for sharing. I’m not keto but trying lower my sugar intake bc of my teeth and overall health lol
Making the candies with electrolytes will be perfect for biking! All the electrolyte/energy chews out there are mostly sugar. I’ll have to try these out for my bike rides soon! Thanks so much!
This is fabulous. I had no idea a base sugar recipe could be so versatile in making so many different candies. Candy making seemed so intimidating, but watching your video has inspired me to give it a try. I have tons of flavorings and extracts that I can finally use for candy making rather than baked goods or Chaffles. My mind is sliming with flavor combinations. Thank you so much for sharing this and putting in the time to develop the recipe and formula.
I’ve been using Allulose for a few years now and use it in everything sweet. Caramels, cakes, brownies, ice cream, chocolates (dark, milk and white). This is new information for me, so thank you!
Tried this out to make taffy and it worked really well! Actually, I did have any syrup, and I melted the allulose and THEN put in the butter.... but it still worked fine! So this is actually easy!! :) Thank you!
Oh my! Where have you been girl? I just discovered you. Been doing keto for 2 years and my literal weakness throughout this journey is candy 🍬. Everything else I can handle... Thanks for this.
Gonna have to order some molds and watermelon flavoring. Watermelon JR’s and caramels are my absolute favorite hard and soft candies. They are what kept me from eating keto for longer than a week. Im two weeks in and bought a couple of pouches of overpriced candy. Hopefully this will help. Thanks
So based on this recipe I ordered ChocZero syrups. Little did I know that ChocZero spikes blood sugar...both my wife and I who are diabetic had a spike of over 30 mg spike after having one tablespoon of ChocZero chocolate with our strawberries. Please be careful when recommending ingredients. So frustrating and what a waste of money. After my experience I checked...it is common knowledge in the Keto world that ChocZero is not Keto friendly.
The main ingredient in that syrup is soluble corn fiber. Wondering if just using that instead of the syrup would give the same effect? Could this also work to make chewy gummy bears? Maybe add some gelatin to one of these ingredients?
Yes, she said you can, the monkfruit she mentioned is a erythritol blend . To sub for the electrolyte you would add a pinch of salt plus a bit of flavouring . So depending on flavour you could extracts, Candy flavour drams , or it’s possible that even SF drink mix could work.

Can someone help?…….I’ve tried numerous times and it never goes like taffy? I use a Torani Vanilla Bean Syrup. Not sure if that the problem or not. Thanks for any help out there.
Hi I hope you see this because I need some help. I’m trying to make cinnamon candy, you know like the hard cinnamon candy everybody loves. But the recipe I found it won’t reach hard crack stage. The sweetener my husband is used to is sucralose. I buy the kind without maltodextrin, but I ran out so I had to use plain Splenda. I used a sugar free syrup. But it would get to 210 and that was it. I found this video and everything looks awesome. What and how would I make this into cinnamon hard candy? I’m using Loriann’s one dram bottle cinnamon. Treat me like I’m five please 🙏❤️😊
Thank you so very much I have been craving keto candies in a very long time and I finally found this recipe I hope they work thank you so much for working hard for us to have stuff that we can make ourselves thank you again......
Sadly I'm in New Zealand and can't get the Choc Zero fibre syrup but do have a Fibre syrup so I used that to make your recipe but they even tho I tried 3 times bubbling for different times and it just would not go firm enough to even make taffy 😢😢😢
Also do you have any sweet recipes that don't use Stevia for a sweetener? Or pre made products? I already substitute for stevia . I thinking more of power bar type products.
This is fantastic. One thing My wife and I really miss are red vines / twizzlers. Could this recipe with the incorporation of a finely milled coconut flower possibly get us in the ballpark?
Thank you so much for your videos! I made the Carmel bites last night and mine came out extremely gooey. They will not shape into any form they are just way too gooey but still taste amazing! My mom made them too and hers did the same thing and turned out too gooey! The silicon molds we are using are just slightly bigger than what you are using. We tried freezing them and they are still extremely gooey. Any idea what we are doing wrong?
Is Allulose preferred over Swerve BROWN sugar for specifically making caramel candy? If so, why? This will be my first time making caramels, and I have both types of sweeteners in my pantry. Thanks! :-)
They discontinued it 😩 They claim the new honey is a replacement but it’s a different flavor and too sweet with a strange aftertaste. I plan to rework the recipe next week using allulose syrup instead.
@@KetoFocus You would think there would be a big market for "keto replacement for corn syrup". A search on that phrase doesn't turn up anything promising as a bottled product.
I’m trying to figure out how to make keto candy without erythritol or allulose and just sweetened using the straight up monk fruit liquid. The issue is how to thicken it up. Gelatin maybe in part but I’m still trying to figure it out.
This is awesome Thanks! Do you know a way to make a pseudo corn chip? There are times I just would really like a chip with some home made salsa or cheese dip or guacamole. Thanks if you already have that done.
I usually will by corn chips from Amazon. There are Keto ones that are gluten free too. I’ve also made corn chips from low carb tortillas. You can make Keto tortillas and fry up chips from the cut up tortillas. I did a video on good Keto tortilla recipes
The best corn chips I've made so far are by frying the tortillas from A La Madre. You have to order them from their website. The absolute best corn tortillas--have no idea how they manage it but somehow the glycemic index is extremely low. Mild corn flavor, but they fry amazingly into chips. I fry half a pack worth at a time, cutting the stack of tortillas into eighth-size wedges. You can put a bunch in the fryer at a time--they don't stick to each other!
I had made the carmels at least 20 times...DELICIOUS!! My problem is that they never get firm enough...I've placed them in the freezer so that I am able to release them from the mold but when they return to room temperature they pool into a puddle. I've tried boiling them for up to 6 minutes...doesn't seem to matter. Any suggestions. Also, I am using allouse for the sweetener.
Great video..but can u please explain how melting butter can create chewy candy?? What is the ingrediant that causes the butter to become a chewy consistancy?? Is it the cooking of the butter, or is it the vanilla syrup?? And do we need the same kind of syrup to make these things?? Where can we get that sugar free syrup?? Thank u for the info!!
From watching the video, it looks like it has more to do with the heat rather than the ingredients. My take-away from this is - the longer you cook it, the harder the consistency is.
So…what are the temperatures? Do you not own a thermometer? I’ve never seen a candy recipe that didn’t give the temperatures. Even old-time recipes give directions based on ball or crack stages.
The link for the Sugar-Free Vanilla Syrup doesn't work. Was it the Sugar-Free Vanilla Coffee Syrup that they sell? I ask because that's not what you said.

I made it with the suga- free vanilla Torani syrup sweetened with erythritol and stevia. I just made vanilla caramels. They tasted great...but they were too sweet for me. If I can tone down the sweetness they will be awesome. I'm going to play around with it and see what I can come up with. ;)

ChocZero is keto friendly. Lots of people use it, test blood ketones/sugars before and after and still in ketosis. As I mentioned above, Allulose caramelizes just like sugar, but at a bit lower temperature, so caramel flavoring is unnecessary.
