  • Death Valley National Park, located in California, close to the California-Nevada border, is one of the most spectacular national parks in the USA. It is home to rich and fascinating geological history. The Death Valley, which is 210 km long and 18 km wide, is flanked on the west by Panamint mountains and on the east by Black, Grapevine, and Funeral mountains. As its name suggests, Death Valley is a largely inaccessible and inhospitable place. Within the valley lies Badwater Basin, which is the lowest point on the North American continent, located 86 m below the mean sea level. Its out-worldly appearance, which can be seen from Dante's View, led to its featuring in the movie Star Wars (1977), in which it represented view of Tatooine from seaport Mos Eisley. Death Valley National Park’s main attractions include: Dante’s View (which you will see in this video), Zabriskie Point, Badwater Basin, Devil’s Golf Course, Artist’s Palette, Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes, and more. Enjoy!
