nice vid on synth stuff, especially for a guitar guy. I started of with tracking techno music on an ibm 386 back in the 90s. Getting into some more live stuff now. I feel like this could be an easy answer to the slightly clunky/limiting sequencer on my MS-1, or something I could use with my volcas if not.
I had good fun with it, especially in random mode triggering ambient arp patches...
My good sir! You’ve got some great on screen presence my dude! So I recently got a reface Yamaha DX7 and was wondering if this thing can act as a looper for less staccato more piano sequences and stuff. Does it only do the thing where you have to select the single notes like that?
Yeah, it just triggers single notes. However, if the synth has an arpeggiator you can create some interesting textures via the random sequence feature.
I know this is old video but I was hoping your still answering questions. I have a SQ-1 but according to Kong they don't have a fix for the USB driver for Windows 10. Do you have a solution or work around to obtain a driver that would allow windows to recognize the SQ-1? I purchased it over a month ago and it is useless without the driver, no way to sync it to my DAW. Thanks for any advice.

Doubtful, all depends on the MIDI spec of your pedal (if it accepts MIDI note data and can be programmed to accept the signal from this). But I don't think so.

No sounds. It just spits out MIDI data.
