I’m the wife of a US Navy retired sailor. We used to go to the country club on base at Pearl Harbor and this was the last song always played before the club closed. I always have the urge to chug the rest of my drink! Oops
I remember the first time I heard this song. I had already been in the Air Force for 11 years and had just gotten assigned to the 3rd Combat Communications Squadron at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma. We had our monthly Commander's Call at the base theater. At the end, they always played an Air Force Now film, and this song was highlighted. Let's just say that patriotism exploded in that theater. I retired from the Air Force in 1992, and this will always be a great memory. From Missouri to Sweden, God bless you both, and God bless the USA.
within one hour after 9/11 every flag was out Lines at recruiting stations. whatever the political side we were united just don't rattle our cage it is a bite you do not want.
Please, everyone, get this right. It's Lee Greenwood, Home Free, and the United States Singing Sergeants. Not the band. They are totally different things. There is a band, but this is vocalists.
I think Lee Greenwood's only other big hit was "Miami, My Amy". But, his voice has always been (and still is) absolutely wonderful! The different groups' ability to blend is part technician-induced but also trained. It was wonderful to hear a piece of music where people were singing and not oversinging one another! Absolutely loved this!

Really enjoy your channel. Love your attitude and how you see us Americans. I am so proud to be an American and I think you see and understand the good points of this amazing country. Thank you for the love. Keep it coming 🇺🇸
I get so emotional when i hear this song. I am proud to be an American. 🇺🇸
Thank you for reacting to this song. It’s one of my favorites and yes I cry every time I hear it. This is my favorite version of it also. ❤️❤️❤️
I have listened to this song my entire life and it brings tears to my eyes every single time. I love my country. And I loved your reaction to this amazing remake of a timeless classic. Lee Greenwood is a legend.
I’m the wife of a US Navy retired sailor. We used to go to the country club on base at Pearl Harbor and this was the last song always played before the club closed. I always have the urge to chug the rest of my drink! Oops
I'm SO EXTREMELY grateful for ALL, who served to protect our great country, the U.S.A.!!!!!
& that’s IF you could find one! There was a 3 hr wait to give blood.
Please, everyone, get this right. It's Lee Greenwood, Home Free, and the United States Singing Sergeants. Not the band. They are totally different things. There is a band, but this is vocalists.
Carol, I really love your hair color and your skin is flawless!!!
Great video LOVE you guys👍👍
Lee Greenwood is amazing, he was 74 when this video was made and he sounds just as good as ever.
Sing out loud and I hear another voice from outside. ...IT Was my mail lady !! So I gave her a new Trump Camo Cap & a Ice Coffee 😂 God Bless America 🇺🇸 and the American people ❤
