I think that is where the enemy underestimates us. They are use to citizens that kneel to their rules and just except whatever their government tells them to do, so they may think they can come here and do the same to us, BUT...if they ever hit this soil, they won't have just our military to defeat (which in itself will be a very difficult undertaking) but they will have a vast majority or armed civilians to defeat as well who will be out there backing up our military.

I was stationed in Germany when the Gulf War started. 3 months later we got deployment orders for Operation Desert Storm. We had just cleared out processing and all the medical and legal stuff and we were on a German charter bus on the tarmac at Rhein-Main going to the plane. God Bless The USA came on the radio and a LOUD bus got instantly quiet. The driver stopped and shut off the engine while Lee Greenwood sang his heart out. This song has special meaning to me and all the other great soldiers on that bus.

Personally, I’d like to shut off the cameras & just listen to what a candidate says about our problems & how they plan to address them. Might just learn who’s the best person for the office.

Norfolk is home to the world’s largest Naval Base and a lot of military personnel and their families were in attendance and EVERYONE was singing along with him. It was a sight to behold for sure. Our country is not without it’s faults and we do have more than our fair share of loud mouths but I know the majority of us are hardworking good folks who would give the shirt off their backs to help someone in need. We are only strong when we work together for the GOOD of mankind.

It was recorded during the pandemic so everyone was spread all over the states. Lee had a big hit with this way back in 1984. Most of the patriotic songs we learn in school were written in the 19th century. This joins the canon of great patriotic American songs. President Trump always begins his rallies by having this song played before he comes on stage, and on occasion has had Lee Greenwood perform it Live.

This is already such an iconic song, this came out years ago & is still as relevant today! Also, shout out to the military band, the beatboxer is next level & Lee Greenwood, he must be in his 80s & he still looks amazing as well as his singing! This song will always be as good as when it 1st came out! 🇺🇸 ❤️ Thanks for the reaction!

I’m the wife of a US Navy retired sailor. We used to go to the country club on base at Pearl Harbor and this was the last song always played before the club closed. I always have the urge to chug the rest of my drink! Oops

I remember the first time I heard this song. I had already been in the Air Force for 11 years and had just gotten assigned to the 3rd Combat Communications Squadron at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma. We had our monthly Commander's Call at the base theater. At the end, they always played an Air Force Now film, and this song was highlighted. Let's just say that patriotism exploded in that theater. I retired from the Air Force in 1992, and this will always be a great memory. From Missouri to Sweden, God bless you both, and God bless the USA.

Please, everyone, get this right. It's Lee Greenwood, Home Free, and the United States Singing Sergeants. Not the band. They are totally different things. There is a band, but this is vocalists.

I think Lee Greenwood's only other big hit was "Miami, My Amy". But, his voice has always been (and still is) absolutely wonderful! The different groups' ability to blend is part technician-induced but also trained. It was wonderful to hear a piece of music where people were singing and not oversinging one another! Absolutely loved this!
