Regarding the weird ads, some Google employees get ad credit which they're allowed to use for themselves (at least this was the case 5-10 years ago). So if you ever see a completely nonsensical advert, it could be someone having a laugh or just doing something experimental. They don't pay any real money to run those ads. Hearing about disturbing or creepy things happening to people really makes me appreciate how lucky I’ve been not to end up the subject of a video like this.

yeah i've seen that quite a few times where somebody is just sitting probably reading comments on a live stream, for some reason their entire live stream gets served as an ad
@sp1atk1tty sorry for responding late. But it could've been a kid just trying To get attention or it could've been the owners trying to grow their channel more since their channel was not that talked about. But even so still creepy that someone would do that.
@@Kristopher-bs9ex the owner of the channel is a band with 4.5 million monthly listeners on spotify. they would have nothing to gain by posting those comments. its most likely somebody with severe mental health issues who has fixated on that specific video
@@harrywilliams848that's very likely. Idk why this doowut did traction but not the other many similar accs I saw in comment sections. one time i got an youtube ad that was the entirety of the kids movie “horton hears a Who”. like in 2014ish? it was pretty odd, and in low quality, but i watched the whole thing and wasted two hours of my time. it was the 3d version
To me it sounds like complete satire. Like it was filmed for comedic relief by americans. Something you'd see on SNL. Thats what I gather anyway@nimodafish7653
My hypothesis was that it's some kind of hidden message to avoid censorship by China. After looking up the video, yes, the quiz is full of mocking undertones towards the Chinese. It is likely a hidden message disguised as a quiz. It is criticizing the innefficiency, delays and the frustration, particularly regarding cooperation (or lack thereof) between the American and Chinese teams involved.
#2: It's only disjointed/unnerving because we don't have context and are only privy to half of the dialogue. It's like people with bluetooth phones talking to "themselves" in public, because you don't see the bluetooth or hear the other person who is speaking with them. Of course they look crazy... but they're not. You just don't have the full picture. That's why reserving judgement is more practical than pious. If something doesn't make sense, it's probably because you don't have all the information necessary about it to draw a proper conclusion.
The rocket crash video has a simple explanation, the tape was first used to record some video project of the uploader and later the rocket crash video was recorded over that tape.
Ok but you don't upload a tape to RUclips. Also, that doesn't explain how totally weird that last part was. First off, none of those questions would prepare you to visit China and even if the questions were relevant, all of the answer choices were at best incredibly silly, if not downright ridiculous.
@@mommy2libras actually, the answers (1 per answer choices) have some link to the subject and the names Mabuhay, Hughes, Long March, XSLC are rockets or satellites. It's a way of mocking safety in China
Seems pretty bizarre for it to be so related to ship launches and china through. It comes off to me as some kind of inside joke video made by the Americans on the project, but idk. The energy of it is very strange, like it’s has some kind of deeper and sinister meaning.
To me it sounded like some purposeful taunting questions, like they know what has happened and slip pieces of what had occured in the questions and with added concerning things like talking about some technicians and body parts. So its most likely Americans who hated the fact that they weren't allowed to investigate what was going on with the explosion.
That first story is especially creepy. What I'm wondering is, if indeed this girl was watching ppl, how would that play out when the channel had multiple viewers? Did others see the same girl? Was there more than just one person? Did it happen 24/7? 🤨
@@DogeZzzz You scared me! I thought you were the Asian girl off this weird video I watched who then called me on the phone like a week ago. Hold on. I think someone is in my living room.
I'd put money on Doowut having a mental illness, probably untreated schizophrenia. I have a schizophrenic family member who once tweeted a celebrity over 90 times in one day (Christmas Eve, none the less), and probably at least 20-ish or so most days before and after for months until their account got shut down. This family member also believed they were the world's savior, and believed the celebrity was sending them secret messages while giving tv interviews etc. Honestly I had to consider if Doowut might be my family member because it sounds so like them, but the name doesn't fit the usual username pattern for them.
1:39 right when i was about to google that out, the first suggestion was the exact same as what you said; "do smart tvs have cameras" i'm gradually starting to believe that online privacy is only a matter of branding, everything feels so fake to believe it isn't spying on you.
"it would be deleted if it were posted anywhere on the surface web." No. Most child pornography is distributed through the surface web, and can remain uploaded for years at a time. It all depends on who stumbles upon it, and how interested the site its hosted on is in keeping their hands clean. And that's way scarier than "le spooky dark web"
I remember a few years back Pornhub had to delete a bunch of videos because the girl waa underage and being forced to make videos with her aunt. Her classmate found them
@@itisamystery.5090 You should try it some time. ACTUALLY try it. Even the dark web has A LOT of surface level, keep that in mind. People think it is just installing Tor or some shit, setting up and bam you're in the deep level of the dark web, as if this were some kind of teen hacker movie lmao.
To go off the first story, it’s kind of a little different but back when Facebook was “kinda” new in 2009 I had clicked on a cute girls name in the “friends online” section. That pops up the messenger tab in which you can send a message if you wanted too. I never sent one just exited out of the message tab and 30 seconds later I got a “Huh?” Message from her. I never responded and we just never discussed it in person 😂
You may have inadvertently sent a blank message or the fb messenger may have opened on her side when you initially clicked on her to open the messenger
The irony of you remembering such a meaningless, mundane moment while having the screen name worldwideadventurer assures me you DO NOT adventure world wide. I am embarrassed for you 🫠
The Doowut guy reminds me of a comment chain I was in a few years back. I can't remember what video it was (might have been something Doctor Who related) or what the guy's username was, but he started replying to everyone in the comment chain with weird comments that had nothing to do with what we were talking about, then started replying to and argue with himself. Dude was clearly mentally ill so I didn't think much of it, but seeing Doowut's comments reminded me of him.
Were they on some anime themed amv videos? I remember something similar happening on a Killing Stalking amv video where someone kept on responding non sensical phrases to every comment left on that video
There’s a bunch of stories I can think of two off the top of my head. One was nuts for a homemade pie stand and left reviews everywhere for years another was a guy commenting on a small amateur music video across years talking about his life and used that one video like a diary.
That's cause they don't advertise the hidden camera lol no but foreal the lady wouldn't have been looking at the guy she would have been looking off screen or off camera kinda like a live streamer looking at a different monitor
About the first story mentioned I have had a similar experience - not as traumatic as it sounds. I remember using the smartscreen (to be precise Chromecast) for playing some extended OSTs while housecleaning and the usual ad appeared, except the time duration was about 5 hours. I think I took the photo somewhere about the time stamp, but I remember nothing unusual about the ad itself. After the 60 seconds of obligatory watch I skipped normally, as if nothing big happened. By the time I’m typing this I’m also trying to see if I can find the photo on my phone, but I’m afraid that it’s from my old one - I’ll keep you informed if I find it.
It sounds like doowut is probably just going through some kind of mental issue and fixated into a belief system about the song/band that stemmed from a form of psychosis or compulsive behaviour, especially if it leads into grandiose beliefs about heaven, hell and demons. I feel sorry for them and genuinely hope they can get the support and help they need.
What I think happened to the Intelsat video is that it was taped on a VHS that had something already on it and the weird quiz at the end is just that. Or the person who recorded it used the rest of the VHS to record the quiz afterward for whatever reason. The person who uploaded it then didn't bother to edit out that part after ripping the VHS.
I work in an archive and I’m currently digitising a load of interview cassettes. A fair few of them were not wiped before being reused and I have come across some really really weird stuff

The 2nd entry is similar to another commenter, known as picsmic4, that has commented on a video for 14+ years on the same video. The video is "repitilla strokes rock band," and ShaiiValley made a video about it
I am as well and have never heard of this. A bit weird. I have to say it reads like the writings of a friend of mine who has a very severe mental illness. Not saying that’s the case, but it does remind me of his endless Fb rants.
@@jsmalls9575 I got that impression as well. It could be someone roleplaying online for attention but, sadly, I have also known some people who fixate & obsess over oddly specific things & construct an entire narrative that only they understand. In fact, the first story he mentioned also reminded me of someone I knew who started believing that people in commercials were speaking directly to him. He eventually got some help but it's frightening to me to imagine being uncertain of my own reality.
Based on the context and certain details provided in the video, the user “Doowut” may very well have been someone suffering from Schizophrenia/paranoid delusions and Portishead’s song most likely became the object of this individual’s focus purely by chance. It’s actually pretty common for individuals suffering from Schizophrenia/paranoid delusions to use social media as an outlet to share their thoughts (delusions) with the world and you’ll usually see them on social media, posting the most unhinged things. Usually multiple posts or comments, like what’s shown in the video so this assumption really isn’t out of the scope of possibility. The individual will typically become fixated onto one single source/person/group/social media page/etc. that goes against their personal beliefs, which causes them to focus entirely on that specific entity, typically dedicating the majority of their time to posting or commenting about/to the entity they believe is working against them. It’s actually really sad if you think about it because that person looks so crazy and completely unhinged but in reality it’s someone who is suffering from delusions that are sending them into full blown psychosis at times and they just need proper help to get their mind back on track.
It's awesome you have moved from simple narrations to real life horror. This is such a quality gem of a channel in a sea of content farms with crappy AI narrators. ❤❤
I one time had an ad on RUclips that was 4 hours and 38 minutes long. It told me to forget everything I knew about slip covers, so I did. Then it tried to sell me slip covers, but I didn't know what the hell they were. I tried to tell the ad this, and it called me a liar, doubled in length, and took the skip button away. I haven't used RUclips since.
The first story is obviously fake, that guy probably just got some long video with some asian lady talking about something and he thought she was interacting with him, and the "changa" part is just to make the story more interesting. That's about it
Yeah it gives me schizobait vibes. Freaky idea but why would they need to have a woman interact with you when spying on you? That's just a dead giveaway.
Glad you covered Intelsat 708, I don't know what it is but somthing about that video is extremely disturbing to me (especially the loudspeaker countdown). Additionally it must be noted that to this day China launches almost all of its rockets inland around populated areas and they have had multiple failures with rocket debris falling on villages (it happened again less than a month ago). I do believe that Longmarch rocket carrying Intelsat wiped out an entire village and its only a matter of time before it happens again.
Exploring these 5 disturbing RUclips rabbit holes was like delving into the unknown. The way each story unfolds leaves you with a sense of unease and curiosity that's hard to shake off. Kudos to the creators for diving into such chilling content.
The multiple choice bit at the end of Intelstat was probably a bunch of inside jokes for the team that was sent to Loral. My guess would be the uploader is a surviving employee and he included it as a morbid reminder of what or who was lost in the tragedy.
2:55 yes there are laws and regulations however youtube rarely obliges and dose vary little to monitor and regulate the ads that get posted especially around kids content, Good example was the Gmod mobile incident where hackers made a fake ad for a mobile version of Garry's mod plastered with skibiti toilet on it designed to attract kids, youtube itself promoted it
I like these videos because they make me feel like I'm living in Twin Peaks. Life is tough and it just happens naturally, while a lot of mysterious things are happening behind the scenes. And, as if they were directed by David Lynch, they will never be explained to us either...
I had a terrible experience with a strange ad here. I’m not sure if anyone else has encountered the same thing. It’s an ad for what seems to be a dating app, but the issue is with the content of the ad-it's extremely inappropriate and contains explicit language (in arabic). I reported the ad twice, yet it kept appearing repeatedly, to the point where I started considering RUclips as NSFW. I wouldn’t risk having that ad pop up at work or around family. What’s even weirder is that, given the ad's reach, they must have invested a significant amount of money in it. However, the app itself doesn’t even work; you’re met with a buggy menu where nothing functions. I had to install it just to leave a negative review on Google, which likely got me hacked (it seems all the reviews were posted for the same reason).
I have no doubt RUclips would 100% approve a five hour and that's a live call if the buyer offered them money. RUclips has no ethics whatsoever and will publish anything and everything
I've had 3-4 hour long Ad's before i got premium, it was usually a long uncut video of australian prime ministers doing speeches and holding gatherings.
Most disturbing thing on RUclips are comments on music videos "I was in a bad place this song and [Insert song title] By Clover Cage helped me helped me feel better" You see those constantly
It sounds like a public access comedy sketch or something along those lines. But was it added after the rocket clip before uploading or was the failed launch recorded onto a cassette and partially recorded over with that sketch?
The longest ad I got was an hour long. It was like some episode of something, but all I remember saying was “you got me fucked up if you think I’m sitting through an hour.” 💀
The first one is really sounds like a creepypasta. Unfortunately the writer get writing block and post it half way through by axing it. Somehow and someway get too much attention to be handled.
The latter half of the rocket crash footage seems like something that was made by the employees of Loral as an inside joke. It's too on-the-nose to be a legitimate video produced by the Loral team in an official capacity, nor the Department of State and the Foreign Service. The uploader of the video might've just archived all Loral-related videographic content that he could get his hands on, which included the silly multiple-choice pre-trip questionnaire.
10:49 ... I'm dumbfounded as I'm completely blank on this. I do not remember this at all and I always watched the news, congress hearings, listened to AM talk radio day and night etc...yet I don't even recall this incident. I guess some things are not at all noteworthy to us as individuals sometimes for whatever reasons, but I'd at least expect to remember it. It's definitely something I'm interested in learning more about now.

15:48 as an italian, I can tell you that everyone will look at you in a weird way if you film them (even in the big cities) since we are not really used to people vlogging or going around with a camera in the cities in general.... pretty sure it's some kind of "artistic" or ARG thing, since if it was a kidnapper everyone here will talk about it (we don't have a lot of crimes..)
I used to watch a lot of paranormal channels back in the day and I always found them repetitive and not really trust worthy for going with an easy route of uploading obviously faked videos etc. Now, I found this channel yesterday and I am amazed. Your videos gave me real chills, no fake videos (or at least most that are real), no stretching the intro, and overall great experience. I am staying here for a while for sure. Keep up the good work!
I had a 1 hour long ad about an old man wearing white talking about something like a podcast but I couldn’t remember what the ad was specifically advertising because I left RUclips on whilst I was sleeping. So the first story is just horrifying 💀
idk i bet you anything its just a fun video made by the workers there with inside jokes, my uncle and his coworkers used to make videos similar to that messing around during their breaks
first one made me think of a childhood fear i had, i thought the people on tv could see me, i was shy about going around in my underwear while the tv was on, especially live tv like the news LOL
Looks like the video about the satellite crash was a internal video made by the corporation to prepare their employees for their trips to China, with a cringy, goofy quiz, containing coworker shenanigans etc, at the end to make people laugh.
CS is a good one. I like Nick Crowley, Nexpo, and Cadaber best simply best they go so hard on the details that when they cover a topic I already know about, often times they post information about them I’ve never see. CS is great but less detailed and typically has the same details I already know about topics that aren’t new to me.
@@AUZlE Truly there are couple good ones, but most of the channels that upload horror videos/stories are just posting cheap CGI videos and stories wich sound like jokes rather than being scary, lol! I Appreciate your recommendations👍
General interest question from the first video; answer if you want: consider you’re an adult, and someone manages to get, let’s say “compromising” video or photos of you by hacking your tv or phone, and extorts you with them for money/favors, otherwise, they’ll send them to friends/family on Twitter or whatever. Would you do what they said? It’s an old tv trope, and I always wondered if you couldn’t just tell your mates what was going on and warn them it might be coming, or if they wouldn’t find the message more unnerving and disturbing than funny. Also, it’d qualify as revenge p*rn, and I’d think the authorities and the site (maybe not X) would scrub it real quick. Just wondering on people’s thoughts. Yeah, it’d be embarrassing, but I’d think most adults would have the wit to handle it sensibly and not give in to some random creep on the web.
Yeah no way am I sending money to some random blackmailer over “compromising” video of me living my life. That opens you to more risk. I’d just warn people, too. And most likely nothing would even happen.
15:19 This “About Me” section demonstrates that the channel’s owner has embraced a Contrarianistic Strategy, by utilizing Unsubtle Reverse Psychology as a Means to convince people to subscribe to his channel out of Spite, simply because he TOLD them NOT to subscribe. The Portishead thing is very unlikely to have been an ARG by the band to garner attention. Here in the UK they have been a hugely respected and successful band since the 1990s, as musical pioneers of a new genre in its own right. They would have no need to resort to stunts, its not their style as I'm not sure they enjoy being in the limelight.
Your TV has no camera or microphone. Now, the remote might, but that’s activated by a button & isn’t actively scanning. A “smart home” device like an Alexa _can_ be integrated with other devices, which technically _could_ allow voice input, but none of this allows a prerecorded ad to interact with you. So, yeah, Raoul (sp?) is full of crap.

@@TubecruiseI agree, seems like a group of people stationed or working there made a funny skit video to pass the time
My hypothesis was that it's some kind of hidden message to avoid censorship by China.
The Internet can be very much like wandering around a shady part of town where someone might see more & more freaky things

Or even simpler explanation : *MADE IN CHINA*

What I think happened to the Intelsat video is that it was taped on a VHS that had something already on it and the weird quiz at the end is just that.

As someone who knows someone who worked at SSL during that time I can confirm that is what happened :(
Exploring these 5 disturbing RUclips rabbit holes was like delving into the unknown.
Very nice description 👍🏼
TV hacker: “We will post this footage of you online to blackmail you.”
Me eating my lunchable in the dark: “I’m ok with that.”

Love that you get right into it.
i love your way, straight into the topic,no much intro ,it really help with my focus 👍
I had a 1 hour long ad about an old man wearing white talking about something like a podcast but I couldn’t remember what the ad was specifically advertising because I left RUclips on whilst I was sleeping. So the first story is just horrifying 💀
This is my favorite horror story RUclipsr
He's got a good voice for they type of thing
That weird set of questions after the launch crash is... f-cking weird
idk i bet you anything its just a fun video made by the workers there with inside jokes, my uncle and his coworkers used to make videos similar to that messing around during their breaks
@@zukothegoatthat’s what I thought. Still super weird to go out of your way to make video like that lol
first one made me think of a childhood fear i had, i thought the people on tv could see me, i was shy about going around in my underwear while the tv was on, especially live tv like the news LOL
Looks like the video about the satellite crash was a internal video made by the corporation to prepare their employees for their trips to China, with a cringy, goofy quiz, containing coworker shenanigans etc, at the end to make people laugh.
The Loral "quiz video" just looks like a typical employee-insider-joke video.
This is becoming the greatest horror channel of all time.

Horror stories is a very good one, but he stopped uploading quite awhile ago...
🟥
▪️
U gotta type "horror stories channel" for it to pop up, though...
🟥
@@AUZlE Truly there are couple good ones, but most of the channels that upload horror videos/stories are just posting cheap CGI videos and stories wich sound like jokes rather than being scary, lol! I Appreciate your recommendations👍
@@AUZlEI can't stand it... when Nexpo... pauses... in-between sentences.
I loveeee the creepy music he uses. Makes it so much better.
Truly, the Contrarian Urge is a Mysterious and Powerful Force of Nature that is humbling to behold…
doowut story reminds me of how i was reading youtube comments on some niche video and i saw this lady saying very psychotic religious stuff across multiple replies only to figure out that this was in fact THE Tila Tequila who apparently went through one of the hardest fall offs imaginable and has now lost her mind. the internet is a crazy place
Been waiting for this one!
4:48 its bots
But... idk? Was there really bots then? lol
Yeah I agree that is highly unlikely
Your TV has no camera or microphone. Now, the remote might, but that’s activated by a button & isn’t actively scanning. A “smart home” device like an Alexa _can_ be integrated with other devices, which technically _could_ allow voice input, but none of this allows a prerecorded ad to interact with you. So, yeah, Raoul (sp?) is full of crap.
Thank you CS. another banger!
