Case #2 is so obvious. The parents definitely killed that girl, maybe accidentally, reported her as “missing,” panicked after all the media attention they were getting, then placed her body there to make it look like an accident. So incredibly eerie and sad for that girl.
This is what most likely happened. Also, while the parents called the cops, it was the extended family who put up the billboards and made sure the case got media attention, unaware of the truth. The case got too big so the parents and the authorities came out with the “she got stuck in the bed” thing. At least they had the decency to not blame it on the nanny.
I saw the uncensored clip when the hazmat team was uncovering Paulette’s bed, and they found her in between the mattress and the front wooden board squished. I swear to god she was all black and rotten like an over ripened banana. How the hell did no one smell that? Like spoiled a dead animal would smell in a hot climate within 2-3 days.
Placing her after 9 days might have something to do with rigor mortis. It takes a couple of hours after death to set in and it takes about 3 days to slowly start to disappear. Maybe they placed her somewhere after she died and due to rigor mortis her body remained in that position and they had to wait for it to disappear before being able to convincingly placer her body somewhere else.
The fact nobody was charged for failing to take care of the 3 year old boy is a shame, that’s all too common. edit: It is a shame such a tragedy we can all agree upon can turn into an argument. yall gotta calm down in the replies
@ The group of adults whose responsibility it was to watch over him. Not only that but they took the kids on a FIFTEEN MILE HIKE WITHOUT PERMISSION. That’s criminal negligence, if not atleast a misdemeanor
@ I wanna point out how this was not the parents fault at all. He was against them going out, let alone of a 15 mile hike, this wasn’t his fault in the slightest
They didn’t. The pajamas they showed were her sisters set, they had matching ones, and the “blood stains” were leaked body fluids, very coming after death. This has been sensationalised. Also the reason there was no smell was she was wrapped right in her bedding. Reddit has some great in depth write ups on this case. It was not murder.
@@TheHshostonI was thinking this too regarding the smell, the only thing that gets me is how nobody felt her ? I would think if you sat on a bed, you would feel the pressure of something next to it/under a mattress but idk maybe I’m overthinking it
Nah, everyone knows that her mother had a fit of alcoholism and asked her husband for help to hide her, it was a case that was too mediatic and we all know it was political, but hey welcome To Mexico, we will cover up the death of an infant due to politics
especially on topics like this. it feels kind of disrespectful to be talking about the deaths of people and then throw in an ad to make some money off it
the first story broke my heart. when he said that the dad was beating his chest saying "they lost my baby", thats a dad that really fucking cares and a dad that everyone deserves. i feel horrible for jared's family, may he rest in peace.
So often parents in these case do truly fate-challenging stuff and their children suffer for it, but that poor man was completely let down by the people who assured him they'd look over his children. They didn't even inform him that they changed plans - unacceptable. I bet he wouldn't allow them to go on an actual hike.
@@kostantza1 i agree, as soon as i heard that they were going on a long hike instead of what they said, i immediately got suspicious of them. i personally will never let someone that isn't my family take care of my child, let alone take them into the WOODS without me.
@@kostantza1 he was against even letting his children go, he certainly wouldn't of let them go on the hike its self. The group clearly seem to be the ones i would be looking into if i was the police, they took a kid, changed plans without telling anyone, failed to watch him at all for the whole time and shocker that eventually, something bad happened. I wouldn't rule out him dying to the elements but i certainly think its more likely the group was involved, the clothes being inside out being a big put off from the expected animal attack makes me look more at this group.
He was really kicking himself because he said no to start with but got the “please dad” and assurances he would be looked after so he gave in and let him go. Authorities refused to allow a professional tracker to help as well. Like why?? Wouldn’t they want all the help they could get ?
someone from that "nice christian group" hurt that boy and hid it. Disgusting. I was raised Christian, I have 0 issues with Christians, but I hate how religions defend each other. You know someone saw or heard something, and didn't speak up.
@@dogwithanaccount7419 Exactly. Thise kids would've never got out of my sight knowing the parents weren't there. It should be the natural instinct to protect any kids. Dickheads!
Paulette's case always makes me suspicious. My older brother died at home, and it was only a few hours before he was taken to the funeral home. The smell of decay lingered for over a week, despite our best efforts. There's no way she was there for days.
@@kimlarso It is possible but I tend to find it happens because of the deceased being on a lot of meds or recreational drugs. Nancy Spungeon ((Sid Vicious gf)) was allegedly decomposing only hours after her death.
About Jaryd's case, the screaming people heard could actually be a cougar. Look up videos of cougars and the sound they make, it is indistinguishable from a human scream.
I dont understand how "the internet" thinks LITERALLY EVERYTHING is caused by 'a psychopath' or 'a serial killer'. Little kid lost in wilderness. Whats more likely: he dies by elements/animals or 'a serial child killer found him when no one else could, kidnapped him, took him somewhere else, killed him, brought body back years later to scatter remains.'?
In the first case, those people who took a toddler on a hike and then ignored him and abandoned him are complete failures as both adults and human beings. RIP young Jaryd
I might be over protective but I do not think a hike is suitable for a 3 year old. They are to small to walk long distances and will become a burden on the person having to carry them around. In this case every adult should have been charged with negligent homicide or something!
@@Varangian_af_Scaniae 💯 I don't have kids of my own, but I would not take a 3 year old on a hike. Maybe to a McDonald's Playplace. But that's it. Especially if I don't really know the kid and if the kid isn't mine.
Agreed there was no reason for him to be even there to begin with and the fact that they were so agonizingly careless makes me question the logic of human beings even further or rather lack thereof
@@Varangian_af_ScaniaeI think short hikes are appropriate. I went on hikes when I was 3 - 4 years old. I loved it & I still have memories. but 15 miles?... huge force...
The first group is bewildering. When I’m in public and see a child by themselves, that kid will be watched until they return to their parent. I’m not even a parent and I always keep an eye out for them so weirdos don’t take them.
That’s what I was thinking. I’m gonna say it’s safe to assume there are more man hikers than female hikers and let me tell you, men don’t pay attention to stuff like that.
Its terrible how a full group of people had no instinct to watch over a 3-year old, not even one. I don't like kids and I would have been keeping an eye on him because that's the normal thing to do
@@kerrysater157 Sounds a lot of effort for simply being too lazy for the case. Maybe someone in the department had a grudge against the parents? Or the most banal, covered for the kidnapper?
The cops failed Sabrina. Had they actually kept up the investigation instead of just looking to blame the parents so they could close the case quickly, perhaps she’d still be alive today
@@12HpyPws if transcribed correctly, it could still be in reference to something else, like forgetting to close the door. Talking about the baby being dead and buried, it might be because they'd want that to be the truth, in the sense "rather dead and in peace, than alive and suffering in someone's hands". Also keep in mind people say weird shit when under extreme stress and grief.
In Jared’s case what was also a major issue was that the lead Sargent/Detective on the case repetitively blocked the family and other volunteers (including official national search teams) from having access to search the trail MANY times during the investigation with no plausible reason. Also, when doing a live briefing in the initial part of the case, that same detective didn’t know his mic was on and said he was tired of hearing about this case… IN THE BEGINNING OF THE INVESTIGATION. There’s been a lot of suspicion surrounding his behavior,it’s believed that he or someone on the police force knew that there was foul play in Jared’s case and were covering up for who did it.
I hear you and kinda second your notion, It seems like by the time enough evidence has been gathered -or they had enough context clues understanding somebody may have abducted him it was already too late.. it seems very deliberate. It's so weird to be on a hike that long and not have your baby right next to you like your not at the park ... 15 miles of land ? Nobody was paying attention? Very weird
Seems most likely to me that maybe the kid got hurt or sexually assaulted by someone in the group and they decided to kill him so he couldn't tell anyone else. More likely than a random child killer in the woods, and it takes the fact that the clothing had no holes or blood into account.
If the kids trousers were inside out it could have been that he had actually taken them off himself due to hypothermia. A HT worsens, the blood vessels dilate and causes the body to actually warm up, sometimes feeling very hot and people feel the urge to take their clothes off. (This is actually a theory in the Elisa lam mystery where she was found naked in a tank)
I was thinking the same thing - that phenomenon is often referred to as “paradoxical undressing”. People in the later stages of hypothermia will often curl up in small crevices, which is called “terminal burrowing”. Sadly, I think a lot of disappearances in the wilderness are cases of the missing succumbing to exposure/hypothermia (or other natural causes). Poor Jaryd very well could’ve crawled into a small space as temps dropped in the night, passed away, and had his clothing & remains spread over time by animals.
He could gave been also dragged by some animal and the pants just slowly rolled down, got stuck on something and eventually pulled down along with the sneakers. That way they would have been inside out. Hypothermia theory is very plausible though. Same happened in Dyatlov Pass incident, where many of the victims were found half naked despite temperature outside was below zero °C.
thats true but why was the shoe there he just threw it randomly while he was taking off his clothes? but why would they be in such good shape after 3 winters of being there :/
I’m going w mother, after finding out husband was doing the Nanny! And since both were abusing the child (thus, mother had hubby by the balls) & that they could actually afford a nanny, and being in Mexico 👉hubby paid LE off!😢
When I was in elementary school and this case came up, kids would tell a dark joke that went: 123 por Paulette que está abajo de la cama y eicky martin que salió del clóset. It's basically the hide and seek game in spanish, you say 123 for and say the name of the person you just found and where he/she is. Dark but still kind of funny

Imagine you’re five month old baby is kidnapped and instead of the police actually trying to catch the perpetrator and bring your child home. They start interrogating and pointing the finger at you.
@@yousef858so we just gonna ignore the fact that most if not every criminal would take valuables from the family first and foremost? Or that most criminals and kidnappers aren’t stupid enough to take a baby from its own home in the middle of the night? The parents likely either knew what happened or had something to do with it because that shit just doesn’t happen
I wouldn't even put them down and carry them in my arms as long as I can. If not possible for long then would definitely not let go of their hands. Can't let kids walk on their own in woods.
I am soon to be a first time father, with my baby son due to be born in May 2025. I can’t imagine the pain of Jared’s father. Four years of not knowing. Four years of still having to go to work and provide for his little girl, probably wanting to break down every night. Sleepless nights, endless anxiety, while everyone around you eventually moves on with life and almost forgets. The pain that family must have gone through.
Don't make the mistake he did. Don't just let your three year old go off on some trip, even a short trip, with a singles group. Aside from that depressing thought, congratulations on your baby in the way. I wish you and your family all the best.
"Can't think of any way pants could be turned inside-out." The ankles are cuffed. Could easily be that the kid tried to take them off from the waist and not the ankles first (likely for a kid). Pants are stuck on his ankles initially, due to the cuffs. As to why the kid would take them off? Could have been snagged on something, could have needed to relieve himself, or could have been in a bout of severe hypothermia, which has convinced many hikers that they are too warm and caused them to strip off their clothing. You can see similar cases on Mt. Everest.
Or he was grabbed by a cougar and shaken, causing pants to come off. but no clearly a serial killer did it.. it only makes sense a serial killer was in the woods at the same time and found him.. much more logical.
5:36 Note, the mountain lion doesn't explain the lack of blood the lack of tearing all throughout the clothing and much more But you do know what a kid can do that. Adults can't get up into high places. I can't tell you how many times I got up into places as a little kid that adults couldn't and then I was stuck and they couldn't get me down So I called complete BS that he could not have made it up there.
Could have developed hypothermia which causes people to remove articles of clothing due to feeling hot. Could have been attacked by an animal after clothing was removed, or succumbed to the elements.
The loss of a child is always painful, but the mystery surrounding Jaryd's death makes it all the more difficult to comprehend. My heart goes out to his family and all those who loved him. The thought of a child being left vulnerable and abandoned is a nightmare. The adults in this story failed Jaryd miserably. Their negligence will never be forgotten.
The last story is really really sad the way the police blamed the parents even after that stressful 911 call the mother placed and secretly wiretapping the house and faking conservations, man 27 years is a lot to cope up with for the parents 😢
Those were her sisters pajamas, not hers. The narrator left out so many details that are relevant to the case to make the parents sound guilty. If you go to the Unresolved Mysteries subreddit there is an extensive write up that completely convinced me of the parents innocence.
@@brittanyhyatt3407 as a Mexican, 100% the parents are guilty, the older sister has claim more than once in social media and with her classmates that her parents killed her sister they were also known for being petty and snobs, they wouldnt take care of the child, or put attention to her, she was always with the maids. we (here in mexico) know for sure that the are guilty, the mother even said at one point "what if I cry to make it more real", they also lied A LOT Our take is that she did died accidentally and they tried to hide that fact, but the couldnt and eventually they try to cover up with the whole "she was always there"
My theory of Jared is simply hypothermia mixed with panic. Towards the end you get extremely hot, so a 3 year old would likely take his pants off however and toss them. Also sneakers last for a WHILE. It’s actually why a beach has had issues with feet appearing. People would jump from a bridge, their body would be dealt with by water and animals, but feet in sneakers are hard to remove. They are made to last, so if undisturbed I can see why they lasted. Regarding where he was found: imagine you’re a kid who got lost. You’d try and find your sister and make it to high ground to see better. Yes, he was 3, but have you seen 3 year olds? They can climb ANYTHING.
@@me6737 Have you googled Jaryd Atadero’s clothes yet? It’s a clearer image than the video. The shirt is dirty, and the pants are inside out - which the inside is usually the most vibrant. But those sneakers do not look brand new. Laces are broke and the colors are washed out. I know it could be placed. But I also live in farm country NY, where we get every type of weather. And I left a pair of sneakers outside for over a year by accident. They had dirt inside, the laces were worn out… but the fabric wasn’t overly dirty on top, as it wasn’t like they were stomped through mud. And any dirt on them was washed off. I can just see how someone can get lost like this. People always go for the more interesting story but sometimes it just ends up being a sad basic one.
I hope those adults in the first case feel guilty for the rest of their lives. If they did what they said they were going to do he would probably still be alive.
0:42 I blame whoever was in that hiking party. That just let the 3 uear old get like a 100 plus feet behind without even realizing or checking on him Enough said. That's what it is most the time.Just people neglecting to keep an eye on their kids in the middle of a forest Anything can happen And where things have happened, many, many times Before & After, but they still never learn. I'm gonna let my 3-year-old. Walk a 100 feet behind us. So anybody could kidnap him or be eaten by an animal.
Yes, it's messed up. I don't even have kids, but if I was on that hike I would have kept an eye on the little ones even if there were people there who were supposed to look after them. Some of us just have a natural inclination to look after vulnerable people. It's outrageous that no one in this so-called "single Christians" group has that instinct to look after children.
I had to listen to Lucy's story again and again. How couldn't the mother know the difference between a minute and 15 minutes? It's as if she doesn't want her to be found...
Even if I wasn’t “in charge” of watching the 3 yr old kid, I’d still be watching him at all times. It’s INSANE that nobody noticed him missing for an hour! It’s criminal!
Last story is sadly so typical. TV makes us think all cops are Sherlock Holmes when really they care about is closing the case as fast as possible whether they get the right person or not
Why did I click this? Ugh..... I cannot comprehend an entire hiking group not assigning responsibility to a 3 year old with no parent. Forget the kidnapping how about just falling, dehydration, or any number of wildlife dangers?! How does that not instantly become the top priority for every single member of the hiking party?! So many adults failed that kid.
My question is if no one wanted to take responsibility for the little kid why did they even want to take him ? Who was the person/s wanting him to go ? And after telling the dad that they wouldn’t take him, at that ?!? Bizarre. Very, very bizarre. 15 mile hike in the woods … with a 3 year old… that didn’t belong to any of them.. why ?
My brother in law has a story about one of his friends being forgotten on a trip-when they were teenagers. The adults were driving the kids in two separate cars, and each driver thought he was in the other car. They didn't figure it out until they back from their destination and everyone was like, "where's Adam?" Back at the zoo, apparently. So if it's that easy to lose a teenager with _"I thought you had him!"_ just imagine a small and active 3 year old.
@@OzymandiasWasRight Wow, I had no idea they even made Home Alone films after #3, so I dunno. My brother-in-law was born in '83, so this would probably have been about 1999 or so. I imagine that's well before Home Alone 7 came out.
As a father of a 3 year old neurodiverse son I couldn’t make it passed 2 minutes. Just the thought of any child that age lost, alone and fearing everything is terrifying. Hold on to your kids!!!
Mr Ballen went over a similar case of where a girl “went missing” and days later she was found to have fallen behind the bookshelf in her room and died.
Paulette´s case gets weirder and sadder when you know that the same day another 4 girls around her age and state, disappeared, but only her case got noticed because of the money status her family had. Most mexicans still believe it was the mother who did it, but got away with it with corruption through the family money. Other weird theory is that it was used as curtain in the media, people got distracted by it and forgot about the war against the narcos that was going at the time. Also weird that the nannies kept doing the bed each day except that day they found the body and the staff of the house got faired after it, and all of them got payed big amounts of money. Aside from the other cases, I think Paulette´s was just negligence of the State and Goverment other than a mystery. It is a sad case, but is sadder that her case is just as tons of cases of many kids and women who dissapear and authorities just turn their backs.
bro it was 100% the mom she literally showed the dress and then suddenly the dress is on the dead body? they should've arrested her w this evidence itself bruh
The first kid. The fishermen who last saw him, should have stayed with him, and or took him to the hikers ahead, or called the rangers. I found a little girl about 15 years ago at a Walmart, I did not leave the child, I took the child to the women's dressing area and had them make the call over the intercom, and that was when the mother showed up, unable to speak English, it was her daughter that pointed her mother out to me. I should the mother how to keep her daughter in the shopping cart, and they left. You NEVER leave a child alone, especially out in the blasted woods.
I did something similar. I was in a shopping centre and there was a little boy of about two, maybe, standing in the middle of the center crying loudly. I saw him and looked around because surely his parents must have been close by. Nope. I walked up to the boy and waved across the center at the information desk to get their attention. As I was standing with the boy, a woman showed up with a mean look on her face. I asked, "is he your child?" She said "yes" and glared at me. I wasn't having it. I told her, "he's been out here for several minutes crying and I was going to get security to make an announcement to find his parents." She said, "he's mine." I replied, "you need to keep an eye on your child because ANYONE could have grabbed him and you would not have noticed." I mentioned the Jamie Bulger case which was still fresh in the minds of people in the UK. She stopped glaring and walked away. She didn't say thank you at all. Her behaviour really angered me and I did mention it to security just in case she decided to leave her little boy by himself, crying in the middle of a shopping center.
The first one, that poor baby, he was only 3 years old. His last moments were probably so scary for him and he didnt even understand anything going on. The people that were "looking after him" should have serious charges. What in the world makes someone think that you should even lay your eyes off of a child? Let alone not count the kids or see if they are still there!! That poor baby died, they shouldve been so much more aware of their surroundings. They need some serious help and i hope the family gets the closure they need at some point, i feel so bad for them. That baby is flying high now though, i hope hes resting in peace💔🕊
3:55~ Crazy to see a picture of Elizabeth Smart here when she was still missing. I'm glad she was eventually found, and that she survived... I wish poor Jaryd had. He would have, had those awful people actually watched him - or, better yet, not taken him out on a 15 mile hike without his father's permission or knowledge in the first place. Insane to me that none of them were charged with negligence or something - *anything.*
Yes, I'm so glad she survived and seems to be doing well. I think about her all the time, we were so close in age and I remember the news coverage when she was missing so vividly. I wonder if the people in the group were investigated because the notion of a three year old walking 15 miles on a hike is sketchy to say the least, especially after they assured the father that they were only going to visit a nearby attraction. Why take him on a 15 mile hike??
@@rtphotos4691 The whole thing is fucked up - in every sense of the word. I'm really not sure whether anybody in that group was ever investigated for anything or not, tbh. It's absolutely disgusting. You don't want to believe that your friends - not to mention your own family - would ever do something like this to you, to your kids... but that's exactly what they did.
A cougar could turn a 3 year olds pants inside out removing them. As disturbing as it is they tend to skin parts of their kills and pants could just seem like easily removable skin to them. Especially such a small pair of pants. They are also a lot more liky to go after a 3 year old than an adult. I'd never sleep again if I was one of the people who should have been watching that kid. Kids that small can vanish in an instant. I remember how funny I thought it was to hide from my Mom in the clothes racks at stores. Kids are little assholes like that, you can't take your eyes off them when you're out in the world. Especially on a freaking hike in Colorado.
I can see the cougar dragging the child by leg & pants & the pants ending up getting off inside out being dragged…….i can also see a pedophile totally taking advantage of the situation bc if a cougar did, I wouldn’t expect to see the shoes anywhere near the pants but certainly expect a pedophile getting rid of evidence to place pant & shoes together!
@@kimlarso Why would a pedo be in the woods though? Like think logically for a second. What is more likely? @ratatouille6522 Shoes are a lot more durable than people think. I think the idea that they just waste away outside is from the time before Shoes were made completely from plastics and other synthetics. Sometimes they float around the ocean for years, with a foot rotting inside then wash up on the other side of the planet looking pretty fresh. Then there's the fact that most of this stuff is just some guys description from decades ago. Which isn't really definitive, people are terrible at being objective. Especially when we're emotionally invested in the incident. Most of the weirdness in these cases comes down to that. Specific words used by witnesses make things sound more dramatic. Things people leave out make it sound more mysterious. I'm not ruling out abductions or things like that. People are capable of all kinds of horrors and that can always add a weird twist to a case. But other than that its literally Bigfoot, Aliens or whatever cryptid of the week. We don't know any of those exist. We know people lie and make simple mistakes. Thats pretty much always going to seem more likely to me.
This video has been sitting in the back of my mind for days. As a parent to a toddler, I know I can't watch it. And reading these comments tells me all the context I need to know. RIP these sweet, innocent babies...
SPOILERS for story 1: Cougar goes for head and neck, not piercing but crushing, usually suffocating. This is done to minimize sound and smell of the kill. Dragging of the body by the head would cause the pants to roll of the victim from the waist down, inside out and off the feet along with shoes. The pants also suffered most wear and tear, Thus way no hair would remain on clothing. The top is more puzzling but there is a gruesome explanation for that also. When the legs were exposed the cougar might started to eat from there. The poor child was dead at that point. After a fill the top part might have been left alone letting blood clot, The cougar could then remove the clothing by simple dragging and pulling from the top and finish its meal. It is not impossible. For the sneakers on the photo one is in a crease of a stone. If not in direct Sunlight they can remain fairly preserved for a very long time. What destroys them is long baking in the Sun or them being drenched by rain and then dried out fast in the Sun. But if they are secluded they can last for a long time.
@@hoodietheentertainer884 See this where these videos either don't research in-depth enough or purposely hold back facts to create ambiguity. Mountain lion tracks were discovered next to Jaryd's tracks during the initial search. According to his dad, the team found some cougar prints coming down toward his tracks, and when the cougar prints and a little person's prints came together, the child's prints disappeared. He was 100% attacked by a mountain lion and carried away as adult mountain lions are bigger than most adult dog breeds. It wouldn't be hard for an animal this size to ambush and kill a 3-year-old child and then effortlessly move the body with little to no drag marks.
17:24 To say that it was partly their own fault is... What normal person walks past an open garage door and says to themselves "yeah cool, I think I'm going to steal a baby now"?
You put too much faith in people if you think they are not capable of committing horrendous acts. It is on you to keep your children safe. If the garage door was closed, this wouldn't have even happened, so yes, it was partly their own fault.
My parents knew the Aisenbergs before Sabrina’s disappearance. The Aisenbergs were realtors who my parents worked with while were moving. My father started to dislike Marlene and Steve-especially Steve. He described him as “a weirdo” who behaved or came across strangely. My mother agreed with him, and they both retain that statement to this day. Both of my parents actually ended up firing them because they disliked the Aisenbergs’ demeanors so much. Sabrina’s disappearance occurred shortly after they cut ties, and they were convinced the parents were involved. It especially hit them close to home because at the time, my older sister was about Sabrina’s age.
Thanks for your comment. I’m surprised people are upset about the police suspecting the parents. It’s 50 times more likely that they are the perpetrators than some random kidnapper. Two of the stories in this very video feature parents who were likely the murderers of their own children. I wonder, was Steves “strangeness” concurrent with symptoms of a cocaine addiction?
very sad how lazy and incompetent the police is that they'd rather go the easy route of blaming the parents rather than going out and finding the kidnapper
The first one gets to me so bad. My daughter is 4 and I can not imagine how excruciating it must be as a parent wondering where your baby is. Especially since the really didn't want the kids to go with them. Who takes a toddler on a 15 mile hike and NOT PAY ATTENTION???? F those people. It tears me apart as a mother to think how scared he must have been.
Some babies sleep better in a separate room. It also can be a space issue, not all rooms are big enough for a crib and a bed. Bassinets or cradles will fit, but most babies outgrow those around 3 months or so
Once you have kids you’ll understand. They gotta cry in another room and don’t keep going there or you’ll train them to get attention from crying. It may sound hard but you gotta. Also if you wanna sleep you’ll do this.
the first one BROKE my heart. he was so little i cannot imagine how scared he must've been. This is exactly why i will never trust anyone with my kids.
Shame on those police for trying to make a case outta nothing, while letting the real bad guy get away, this has happened to too many other people, way too often
Paulette’s case makes no sense. No way was that child’s body there for 9 days! I had a dead mouse in a crawl space for just a few days and the smell was terrible.
21:13 sorry, but this is a dumb argument. There are countless cases of seemingly perfect good people who end up being murderers. One person's random opinion doesn't mean anything.
first case makes me so angry. how stupid and selfish can those people have been to ignore a 3 year old boy like that? even if they didn’t end up losing him, bringing him along for a long, treacherous hike when you only promised a short walk is selfish behavior. and the fact that nobody took the responsibility of watching him? even more devastating and disheartening. even if you’ve never had children or aren’t familiar with caring for a child, it shouldn’t be difficult to at least check in every few minutes. horrible.
Yet they'll put less effort into finding these kids while putting maximum effort into finding the guy who unalived a Healthcare insurance CEO lol what a joke.
1. Civil suits and neglect charges should have been filed against every adult in both hiking groups in the first case. 2. If you can't handle or want your children, give them to those who would love them. Children regardless of disabilities DESERVE better.
Hearing the one about atadero infuriates me! All those so called “adults” were idiotic and WOEFULLY incompetent at watching those kids and keeping track of everything. They should never have changed the plan to start with!!!! In my opinion they should all have been charged with reckless endangerment. Now jaryd is gone forever as a result. It is a 411 case. If you don’t know what that is , look it up; VERY strange disappearances.
The original video of that cougar is wild. For over 6 minutes that dude was stalked. He accidentally ran into a pup on the trail when the pup ran after the man. This prompted mama cougar to chase the man far away. I watched it stoned the first time and it was the most intense 6 mins of my life 😂😅
That cougar wasn't actually attacking. It was deliberately trying to drive the person who filmed it out of its territory. If you watch the full video, you can see its full behaviour.
i went missing before. nobody looked for me. i came home one day after waking up on a park in woonsocket. i was gone for 2 days and had many bruises on me when i woke up. i couldn’t remember how or why i was there. to this day my mom and siblings never asked or knew what happened to me. i don’t even know what happened. my friends at school asked why i was gone the last 2 days and i was just stumped. asking my mom made her upset with me making her think i snook out. and my siblings were scared to go against her anger so i just got in trouble for asking about what happened to me.
Jeeze, almost sounds like they were in on it. Were you the family scapegoat? Even if you had snuck out, being gone for two days should worry any mother, not simply make her mad. I'm surprised the school didn't report you absent and discover that you were missing. She would have had to have some answer why you weren't in class...
I always look forward to every Wednesday because of your videos. It’s also the start of my work week and it makes it easier. But things about children bother me and they stick with me. I want to watch this so bad but I don’t think I’ll be able to. 😭
Hey chilling scares, ive been recently getting addicted to ur channel (like litteraly) i just wanna tell u , you are a great youtuber ignore the haters keep uploading :D
Anytime I get stuck in my own head, replaying sorrows, grievances, feeling sad, overwhelmed.....I always try to remember that someone else is enduring so much more pain. As a parent, I can't fathom the suffering of losing a child. Whether to kidnapping, murder, illness, or something like these cases. It would kill me for sure, I don't know that I would have the strength to survive. I'm so grateful I've not had to experience some of the atrocities that happen in life. 🙏
They probably wanted to get rid of their daughter since she was disabled and was a burden to them. They probably also got insurance from it. It's obvious.
I can't believe that the worse things happen to the best people. The first case when the dad was beating his chest saying "they lost my baby" was so heartbreaking and the final case when the parents were wrongly accused of their child's disappearance is absolutely horrendous. It was so heartbreaking to see the couple holding hands, how Steve was holding Marline and the fact that they're still looking for their child even after all these years. I hope the father's son rest in peace and Steve and Marline find their daughter.
Case #2 is so obvious. The parents definitely killed that girl, maybe accidentally, reported her as “missing,” panicked after all the media attention they were getting, then placed her body there to make it look like an accident. So incredibly eerie and sad for that girl.
Probably why they instinctively said they wouldn’t press charges if the perp just returned the daughter somehow.
What about not parents killing her, but her sister? And the parents tried their best to cover their other child's crime so they not lose her too.
The fact nobody was charged for failing to take care of the 3 year old boy is a shame, that’s all too common.
edit: It is a shame such a tragedy we can all agree upon can turn into an argument. yall gotta calm down in the replies

The Paulette one disturbs me. Feels like the parents put her back there .

Could be a fox, as well.

As to why the kid would take them off?
Could have been snagged on something, could have needed to relieve himself, or could have been in a bout of severe hypothermia, which has convinced many hikers that they are too warm and caused them to strip off their clothing. You can see similar cases on Mt. Everest.
That was the first thing that came to my mind. 👍 'Paradoxical undressing' is not uncommon.

or if someone had yanked them off of him. like the people who just kidnapped him.

I agree. People i guess forget how fearless kids are.
Sneakers last but they didn't look at all like they were outside for four years. Same with the pants. Vibrant colors etc

As a father of a 3 year old neurodiverse son I couldn’t make it passed 2 minutes. Just the thought of any child that age lost, alone and fearing everything is terrifying. Hold on to your kids!!!
I think in the second case, the body got put back to the room

When Chilling Scares uploads a day after Mr. Nightmare, it’s a really good day.
glad i caught up to Chilling Scares but i did miss Mr Nightmare's new video yesterday.
Mr Ballen went over a similar case of where a girl “went missing” and days later she was found to have fallen behind the bookshelf in her room and died.
Omg i remember that one!
ahh the places you cant go and people who went anyways playlist i remember hearing that story
wildly different circumstances though
Ahh ! I remember that case
Those people would never hike again if they lost my child like that.
No you wouldn't 😂
Exactly..
and then your other kid would grow up without a parent
The paulette case was 100% the mom's doing I've no proof or doubts
bro it was 100% the mom

Me too
The first kid.
I told her, "he's been out here for several minutes crying and I was going to get security to make an announcement to find his parents."
She said, "he's mine." I replied, "you need to keep an eye on your child because ANYONE could have grabbed him and you would not have noticed." I mentioned the Jamie Bulger case which was still fresh in the minds of people in the UK.
She stopped glaring and walked away. She didn't say thank you at all.
Her behaviour really angered me and I did mention it to security just in case she decided to leave her little boy by himself, crying in the middle of a shopping center.
I don't trust that sketchy religious group and that poor little boy
Sacrificed😢
Lmao it's literally a normal Christian group..where singles meet for companionship
You're 1000x times more likely to be attacked by a non-Christian
@@tomsock218 I find it strange you don't trust that poor little boy
It’s some true detective type stuff
I don't know if I could have been as strong as she was going through what she did. I really wish all the best for her in her life now.
@@Kira_Martel Same here, she's an incredibly strong woman. I really don't think I could have gone through everything she did. I'm very happy that she's doing so much better now.
They definitely _should_ have been... but, afaik, at least, nobody was ever held accountable for what happened that day, nor have any of them ever taken any amount of responsibility for their role(s) in the death of this little boy... again, at least not that I'm aware of.
The internet trying to 'solve' every mystery by attributing it to a 'serial killer' is insane and insulting and does a disservice to the victims. Do you honetly think there are 'serial killer pedos' waiting in the woods in case a child gets lost? Use your brain for a second.
Or he was pooping when attacked
Thank you for the information
The one detail that bothers me is his shoes. How were his shoes so well preserved after 4 years?
The image of the missing kid’s torn clothes in the first story is one of the more haunting things I’ve seen on RUclips.

Bullshit. Leave the poor cougars alone. They have nothing to do with it.
There was no blood. Not even a drop.. not even hairs from a cougar. Makes no sense
@@hoodietheentertainer884 okay i fully believed the cougar story until this reply, unless there's something else too it.

17:24 To say that it was partly their own fault is... What normal person walks past an open garage door and says to themselves "yeah cool, I think I'm going to steal a baby now"?
Usually young females who had miscarriages, abortions, stillbirth
“Normal” people don’t.
these predators are always out there, most of them are too scared to do these things but some of them get bold and are just waiting for an opportunity
It especially hit them close to home because at the time, my older sister was about Sabrina’s age.
found the cop.

The first one gets to me so bad. My daughter is 4 and I can not imagine how excruciating it must be as a parent wondering where your baby is. Especially since the really didn't want the kids to go with them. Who takes a toddler on a 15 mile hike and NOT PAY ATTENTION???? F those people. It tears me apart as a mother to think how scared he must have been.
HOW DARE THEY BE SO IRRESPONSIBLE WITH SOMEONE ELSE'S KID?!?!!!
I never understood having your newborn in a separate room
Some babies sleep better in a separate room. It also can be a space issue, not all rooms are big enough for a crib and a bed. Bassinets or cradles will fit, but most babies outgrow those around 3 months or so
There's no way you never understood that 😂
Once you have kids you’ll understand. They gotta cry in another room and don’t keep going there or you’ll train them to get attention from crying. It may sound hard but you gotta. Also if you wanna sleep you’ll do this.
This is a 5 month old baby... hardly a "newborn". You are making out she was a few weeks old.

Shame on those police for trying to make a case outta nothing, while letting the real bad guy get away, this has happened to too many other people, way too often
The last one was the worst. Police corruption was just as bad back then as it now.
Agreed!
Plenty psychopaths who hide their true personality and intentions. Manipulation for self gain at it’s finest.
first case makes me so angry. how stupid and selfish can those people have been to ignore a 3 year old boy like that? even if they didn’t end up losing him, bringing him along for a long, treacherous hike when you only promised a short walk is selfish behavior. and the fact that nobody took the responsibility of watching him? even more devastating and disheartening. even if you’ve never had children or aren’t familiar with caring for a child, it shouldn’t be difficult to at least check in every few minutes. horrible.
Never letting my son go anywhere with anyone who isn't a trusted family member
Trusted family members are usually the ones guilty in child murders and disappearances
I thought this was common sense
Yet they'll put less effort into finding these kids while putting maximum effort into finding the guy who unalived a Healthcare insurance CEO lol what a joke.
