    Hey there, folks! Today, I'm diving into the world of electric bikes with my review of the LikeBike Lander S Ebike. Join me as I unbox this bad boy, assemble it, and take it for a spin around Victoria to see how it holds up.
    Inside the box, we've got everything we need to get started: pedals, tools, a user manual, and even a charging brake. Once assembled, I'm impressed by the 48V 13Ah battery, giving us a total of 624Wh of power.
    But it's not just about the specs; this bike packs some serious features. With huge 4-inch wide tires and front suspension, it handles bumps like a champ. Plus, it's got cruise control - a rare find on budget ebikes - which makes those long rides a breeze.
    Safety is a top priority, and I'm happy to report that the battery is UL 2849 certified, meaning no worries about charging mishaps. And let's talk power: with a 500W motor and five levels of pedal assist, reaching speeds of up to 20 mph is a cinch.
    But it's not all about the technical stuff. The lighting on this bike is top-notch, with brake lights, front LEDs, and even a horn for added safety. And for the price, you really can't beat it. It's budget-friendly without sacrificing quality.
    So, what's the verdict? Well, there's not much I don't like about this bike. Sure, maybe the grips could be a bit more premium, and the brakes could be a tad bigger. But at the end of the day, it's a solid option for anyone looking to dip their toes into the world of electric bikes without breaking the bank.
    I'll leave a link down below so you can check it out for yourself. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

    A proper budget bike! Not these crazy 1200$ budgets, super glad you posted! I was on the fence between this and just giving up on ebikes altogether, hahaha

    What's it like when you are on pedal-only? Is it significantly harder than a typical thin-tire beach cruiser?

      hummm I wonder....@shartsgamehouse7425, maybe you're in the P settings? Did you press and hold the power button on too long perhaps? Not sure...it could also be a code to turn on the ebike that has been turned on....I would reach out to LikeBike and ask :)

    • @TimsElectric

      This is NOT a dumb question...if you don't know you don't know. :)
      @hokage102364
      Simply ensure your ebike or electric scooter is turned off.
      Plug in the charger (make sure it's the one for the unit...don't use third party or the wrong charger.
      There is a light on the charger. It should turn red when it's charging.
      And will turn green when it's all charged up.
      Hope that helps
      @hokage102364 ;)

      @@TimsElectric and, guess what? I got the Lander S...and it was WAY TOO HEAVY...so, I ended up getting an iSinwheel U2...(City bike style)...but, I'm going to replace the cranks with shorter ones due to the foot-contact-with-the-front-fender issue...

    Would be nice to see a "Big Guy Approved" E-scooter for $600, or with them is it, "Ya get what ya pay for?"

    • @TimsElectric
      @TimsElectric  4 месяца назад +1

      Awesome idea @NOWitsOKto, off the top of my head...I would look at used scooters with Big Guy Approved status than spending on a cheapy....maybe the Niu KQi3Pro....but a slightly used Inmotion S1 or Apollo City or dual motor Apollo used might be an option where you live :)

      @@TimsElectric Been considering buying an e-Scooter for times when I have the car and my 4 e-Bikes packed in the garage, for that quick couple blocks to 2-3 mile trips. Like “hey, I'd like a Jersey Mikes etc.” I'm about 300 lbs, and in the “research” mode of trying to figure out if an e-Scooter would work.
      Being the intended use would be for only these quick, short trips, I feel that around $1300 is the most I'd want to spend.
      So, being able to handle my 300 lbs, is top of the list, followed by low maintenance.
      I've seen video of 300+ lbs riding some scooters rated for 265 with no issue, but is this really true? (Remember, my use will be “paved” surfaces and 3 miles or fewer one way.)
      I'm thinking a scooter is in one ear, but the idea that it might not be something really needed in the other ear.
      Thoughts appreciated. Thanks Tim.

      I used a Uscooter for these trips (and still do) ...last summer I hit 300....I'm down to 265 now but the scooter had no issues getting me around town....the GT Sport model :)
