Gorgeous tye Davie. You make it look deceptively simple! Thanks so much for posting. Beautiful pattern with a sense of tradition and history about it..
After watching your great video, tied a few of these over the winter and caught my first two wild Brownies with one of them last week. Thanks for sharing!
Davie, I love these Sedge/Hedgehog fly patterns. Any time I see a notification that contains these words from your channel, I am twitching like an addict until I get to watch it. Merry Christmas. Hope you and your family are doing well. As always, absolutely amazingly beautiful tie.

I hope this is not a dumb question, but would it be possible for you to explain what is the best way to prep, fish and care for your flies? Even though I watch religiously, I am a total newb!
Hi Mark, It's not a dumb question at all, after fishing your flies allow them to dry before you put them back into your box as this will keep them from rusting, wet flies can also make the dyes leak onto other flies in your box if it's closed before they are dry....If you want your flies to float then applying a floatant to them the night before you go fishing allowing them to dry completely as they will float far longer and catch more fish before you have to change them. For wet flies just fish them as they are as they will sink themselves..When fishing wets you can fish them with others on droppers, the heavier dressed flies being on the top dropper and with the lighter dressed on the point as this will help turn your cast/leader over and get the flies to fish at different depths....I prefer to fish dry flies on their own using a tapered cast as you can concentrate on targeting the fish you are casting to...This is only a snippet of what you can do when fishing standard wet and dries flies as you could write a book on the many methods that you could use but it's the basic way to start fishing flies..I hope this is of some help to you... All the very best Davie
