One of the best breakin tracks i danced to back in 84, needs to be played on +2 on the Technics mind and bass ramped up for full floor battle mode. Still have all my BBoy records from back then over 250+ im now 46 and i will never sell them.... Once a BBoy always a BBoy!
Awesome track! I honestly believe that I might be the ONLY person in the United States that was hip to the genius of the Willesden Dodgers back in the 1980's. Ok, that might be a bit of an overstatement, since the hip-hop group WHODINI was produced by the Willesden Dodgers back in the day. Basically anything the W.D. did back then was pure awesomeness. Listening to Gunsmoke Breakout (as well as Breakin' Out, Not This President, and Zero G, among others) is proof positive that there's no school like the Willesden Dodgers old school!
Reminds me of the Electro Rock event at the Hippodrome hosted by 'The Boss' Mike Allen and Wolverhamptons The B-boys crew. Goldies done very well for himself these days. Jeez....can't believe it was 30 years ago! I was only 11 yrs old at the time. Lol
Although they probably never intended to break into the Hip Hop/Dj market in the USA they certainly did with their song "122 Beats Per Minute". It was very difficult to get the import on vinyl back in 84 but if you had it you were the man at the party..
Can't believe how good this track is, how good it still sounds now, friggin AWESOME! Can't find much about these guys on google? Any info would love to know!
Pete Q. Harris. Pay attention to his work on Mark Shreeve's Legion & Crash head too. His production style is clear (hard edged sampling & tight synth bass)
Didn’t they once do a tune with the James Bond Theme mixed into it? I know someone did, but I thought 💭 it was The Willesden Dodgers since they did this Gunsmoke tune.🤔🤔🤔🤔
Охренеть. Не думал, что услышу эту тему ещё хоть раз. Но повезло ))
Increible!!!!
Gracias : )

Is there a tougher "preparing for battle" bassline than this? I doubt it.

Убей,но не могу вспомнить в какой передаче ТВ СССР крутили эту тему! Или "До 16 и старше",или "Спортлото",или "Аэробика-гимнастика",кто помнит?

Ensoniq Mirage or Fairlight series 1? So little info on this band.
Probably Fairlight - since it was released before the Mirage came out, if memory serves me right ☺🎶
@@steenkoudahlfrederiksen6417 that’s what I was thinking. Too much fidelity with crunch
Could they really afford the Fairlight at the time?! Maybe the arr1 patch was just sampled in the Emulator?
@@diskonnektion5496 It was recorded at Zomba Records, now that I think about it, they probably had a Fairlight on site.
@@Gazdatronik Ah, ok, that explains it, thank you.
