Cafe René and Jim cornettes podcasts are by far the 2 best wrestling podcast out today.
Didn't like René back in the day when I was a kid hating on most heels, although getting to hear his honesty and down to earth nature is refreshing.
Keep up the great work guys!
This was indeed an emotional one but a fantastic one! Just imagine if we still had Eddie with us here today and he was on the Cafe. We all miss Eddie Guerrero very very much but I'm sure the ones who knew him personally miss him much more. Forever wishing Eddie was still alive, my main goal in the professional wrestling business is to make both Eddie and Rene as proud as possible.
I began training in 2005 on the same week Eddie Guerrero died. I'll never forget how much it really affected others in the business even on the independents. He was my inspiration getting into the business. Still to this day, even for some of my close friends I knew in pro wrestling, Eddie's 10 bell salute still gets me. RIP Eddie!
This was another fantastic episode.. James I just want to say as an encouraging word to you mate that you and Rene are doing a fantastic job, every episode you do is always real and interesting!! Keep up the good work and sod the Trolls.. Much love and respect 👍🏻❤️👊🏻
I have alot of respect for Rene for saying he would have jumped Bubba Ray to help Eddie should a fight have erupted
What a legendary and emotional episode James and Rene!!! R.I.P to the legend Eddie Guerrero!!
So DOPE Long Live Eddie the 🐐 love these interviews ❗️💯💪🏽🇲🇽
Love this show
Eddie guerrero was the best 👌
I absolutely love this show maybe my favourite wrestling podcast at the moment. You two have such amazing chemistry and Rene is an excellent storyteller no filter he tells how things really are keep up with the good work guys!
Rene- thank you for opening up and talking about this... It's so interesting to listen to. I'm sorry you and so many have lost too many friends over the years through the business.
Bravo guys, great as always🖖👌
So many ppl online now say Razor was "so cool". I was a kid in the new gen era and while of course we liked him, we didnt think he was cool... but it was when he went to WCW when all of us were like... HIS NAME ISNT EVEN RAMON???? Lmao. We were dumb kids but that's how kids actually thought. So many ppl lie about how they loved him when they were kids, he was treated as a mid carder, HBK, Undertaker and Diesel and Bret were so much cooler. But, growing up, we all knew he was legit. And all of his shoot interviews, dude was smart when it came to psychology. RIP.
Thank you very much for sharing. Very touching.
We want a jim cornette special
Loved Eddie it says a lot about the man when Rene is getting hazed by most of the roster but he didn't participate and supported Rene
The wrestling deaths I cried the most over were Eddie, Benoit family & Brodie Lee
Fuck, I miss Eddie everyday. I wish he and Benoit would of retired after winning the title
🤘🏻👊🏻 the best podcast around ❄️ much love from etown
Great work James. Love your style. You two guys complement each other very well.
35:28 Patterson impression lulz
Eddie was one of day g.o.a.t 🐐
Another good one. Keep it up !
Would have loved to have graduated from the benoit academy I remember seeing things that he was ready to open up a dojo that year just sucks and hurts to this day that their both gone, both huge inspirations to me
Muhammad Hassan on the Cafe is going to be huge!!! the best heel of the 00s
New listener to the podcast & am really enjoying the episodes! One small note - Undertaker debuted at Survivor Series 90 - James said 91 :) But agreed on the end of the match with Bret & DiBiase being amazing!
Great stories, Renée a real ladies man
Did he see much of Eddie or stories during his Last Year in 05?
Dibiase, Hall, and Jake Roberts. The 3 greatest to never hold the top prize.
William Regal
Viva la Rasa.
Come to think about it, with Batista getting hurt in his first world title reign. If Eddie was still alive, he would have won the world title instead of them bringing Angle back to Smackdown and maybe then he'll retire after and more importantly save Benoit's life as well.
British Bulldog too
Thankfully his face is in frame
Nobody has ever mentioned the possibility that Daniel, at the very least, might have heard the fight and murder of his mother.
What if he saw his father kill his mother?
Hey this and the maven episode hasn't been on spotify I like to listen at work ...I will find it anyway just putting it out there
Sorry have uploading issues, hopefully sorted soon
@@cafederene sweet thanks like I said I would come here and find it thanks for the entertainment
Imagine Eddie back in 04 or 05 in a program with undertaker
Good episode, and you should try and get jim cornette.
In my opinion, nobody was as good as Eddie Guerrero as an all-around performer. Maybe Randy Savage, but it's hard to say because they were both the best in different areas.. Eddie had it all. He was MEGA underrated on the mic and could go from legitimately hilarious, to fired up, to scary without missing a beat. His technical chain wrestling was perfect, his strong style was perfect, his lucha was perfect, his timing, his selling, his psychology was always flawless. When people call HBK the greatest of all time, I always say name one thing Shawn Michales did better than Eddie Guerrero. There was no area where Eddie wasn't superior. Everything Shawn could do, Eddie could do better. However there were a lot of things Eddie could do that Shawn had no chance of copying. Eddie Guerrero and Randy Savage are interchangeable as the greatest performers of all time for very different reasons.
Why ain't on Spotify anymore?
Will be back on soon
I remember seeing Eddie’s last match in 2005. As a kid I knew something really wrong with Eddie. Eddie’s hair looked stringy, messy and he looked Green. I blame WWE.
In regard to Benoit, with what we know about head injuries, I never put fault on him. That's just how I feel.
René
your thoughts on calling Jim Cornette he mentioned you on his Ronnie Garvin plane story. He says where were we going with that Rene Dupree he never rode with Ronnie Garvin either really funny. He told you to get a phone in Louisville and dont expect me to call you, you call me. His phone bill was $110
🤣. We're likely to do a corny episode in the future

Bob Holly is a wuss. He talks so much behind closed doors, but will never say half the crap to anyone's face. Rene, you got the skills to pay the bills and talented over that one trick pony Not so hardcore Holly.
