I would just like to ask how long did you let it dry naturally before the water test? And what would you recommend how long to dry the 701 before applying the 901?

Hi, cheers :) I waited only a couple of hours, as I couldn't keep the car with me for longer, but one should avoid water in the 1st few days. Having said that...the 901 has to be applied wet, but of course, that's a small quantity of water. I would let the 701 to cure for at least 2 hours, then to apply the 901.

Hi there. I'm new to car detailing so I thought I should ask an expert. Should I apply apply my wax of choice first before applying the ceramic coat?
Hiya, don't apply any waxes or other protection/coating, before a ceramic coating, as it won't be able to bond to the surface. With a ceramic coating, you also don't need any waxes or other coatings either (on the top of the ceramic).
@@OCDaddyZsolt Appreciate the feedback. I'm planning to do my car a rubbing compound and polishing compound over the weekend as the paint needs some love. Can I still do these steps normally before i apply the ceramic?
@@kafka0015 Sure, you can do. Just make sure that you use an IPA or other similar product to degrease the surface after polishing and before the ceramic coating.

Did you notice it made your paint slightly darker?
Usually ceramic coatings give some depth to the colour.

Can you use this alone or you have to top it off with si-901?
You can use it alone. However with the 901 it gives better shine and lasting longer.
@@OCDaddyZsolt can this be used for glass, rims, plastic and metal parts of the car?
@@tanyadelrosario4743 For glass and rims I wouldn’t use. They have specific products for those purposes (have videos of those too). For plastic yes (but only the ones that are painted/clear coated). For bare metal, I wouldn’t use.

@@tanyadelrosario4743 The 701 is a standalone base coat, the 901 is a top coat, that needs a base coat. And the application is completely different also.
