I wish you the best! You got this. Something that got me recently is that we don’t learn how to do things from our success but from our failures because it makes us go back and clean our minds to do it again. Enjoy the process
@celine210henderson7 I’m from NY please how can I reach out to Mr Willard I’ve already failed a lot of times and lost money to reviews that never helped ..
Without Mr Willard I would still be in abject poverty struggling with my life, that’s the greatest testimony gotten so far after years of great loss here on RUclips, I do thank him and I am grateful.
I took the CNA class and at the end of my skills, I realized I forgot to do something, fixed it, and still passed. It's totally fine and the cortisol surge is too real!
if I can say one thing, i’ve taken the mcat twice and need to take it a third this summer. I know what it’s like to study so hard for a post grad admissions exam and leave feeling disappointment from messing up. just know that if you do not pass, that experience will be nothing but beneficial for you. this is all a learning experience and medical education is tough, so PLEASE don’t be hard on yourself. you got this kiara ❤️
We’re so happy to have you!!! Welcome to the healthcare crew ❤️ Healthcare is about learning, and you really learn as you go along by just doing it. It’s okay to fail as long as you realise your mistake!!! You’ll be a wonderful nurse
I’m going to school to be an OT. I have felt the same thing you have after many practicals, exams, or competency skill checks. Doesn’t mean i’m not going to be an amazing OT and doesn’t mean you won’t be an AMAZING CNA. Keep pushing on. I am a firm believer in everything is meant to happen the way it does, even if we don’t see it or it’s hard to understand in the moment. God has a plan, he always does!
your positivity and ability to pull yourself together after feeling crappy about a test is honestly INSPIRING! All throughout Uni one bad test was the end of the world for me, so honestly the way you are able to collect yourself and talk yourself out of going down a really bad path is something I wish I had done!! I love that ur showing every part of your journey INCLUDING the failures (not a failure, but a learning experience as u said)! You're going to be a great CNA very soon, so please dont be discouraged. All the best!!
i'm taking my exam in like 2 months because yesterday was the start of my class!! SOOOO glad to be seeing this content from someone i already follow :))
kiara i'm 100% certain that you will be the most amazing cna/nurse, even if you have to retake this one test. your work ethic and dedication are so inspiring. sending lots of love from england
I promise that you'll look back at these videos when you're a nurse and you'll want SO BAD to be able to tell yourself that it gets better and you'll end up where you've always wanted to be! I was rejected from my first nursing school that I applied to and I remember sobbing, at 20 years old, thinking that everything was over and that nursing school was out of my reach. I was in the exact same boat that you were in! Sometimes, even at your lowest, there is always another door that opens :) For me, I actually applied to another nursing school thinking I'd get another rejection but I was luckily accepted there and I graduated 4 years later and I've been an RN for nearly 5 years now. I promise you that things get better. Keep your eyes and mind open for all opportunities, don't let these moments get to you and your dream and instead use it as fire to get to your goal. It's obvious you know where you want to go, just fight until you get there :)
I remember when I was younger my mom getting ready to take her CNA exams and it was so worth it. I am so proud of her and and the years she put into this job. I’m proud to see her become a nurse manager. She deserved her promotion and I’m proud of how hard she worked for it.
You're such a hard worker and I love that you look at moments like this as learning experiences, because that's exactly what they are!! If you never mess up, you can't be human!
I remember taking this test! I was the first of my class to go and I was terrified and ripping myself apart afterwards. I’m sure you did great! They know you’re nervous, plus most of this stuff goes out the window when you get your first real CNA job. Be nice to yourself! Worrying about something that hasn’t happened yet means you suffer twice 🤍
I'm sending you well wishes! You got this and this test does not define you! During my skills checkoff in nursing school, I got female urinary catheter insertion and I was so nervous that I forgot to say that I'd do hand hygiene after I walked out of the room (talk about embarrassing)! And I still passed! Fast forward to today: I passed my NCLEX last week and I start work as an RN next month! Needless to say, experiences like yours will help you learn (they did for me) and are part of the learning process. I am really enjoying watching your journey!
I'm a newly graduated nurse so I loved watching this! We don't have CNA's where I live but we have CCAs, which are similar. I did the accelerated nursing program so I didn't have any time off during my 2 years to work as a CCA and that was the one thing I didn't like about my program! You will be so glad you've learned all of those basic skills and have become comfortable with them when you're eventually in nursing school! You will be a great nurse someday :)
When I took my CNA skills exam I was extremely nervous and felt like as soon as I got into the room all my knowledge went out the door. I left feeling like I had done horribly and was sure I had failed, but as it turns out I ended up doing really well and passing. I think it’s easy to get in your head about things you may or may not have done right because that’s exactly what I did. Even if you don’t end up passing you’ll be better prepared for next time! Sometimes things don’t always go perfectly and that’s ok. I’m now a second semester nursing student and will hopefully be graduating next December. Nursing is a difficult profession and I can tell you everything is a learning experience whether good or bad! ☺️
I am the exact same way! I always have to force my self to eat something early in the morning, but I always feel so nauseous. I'm in nursing school right now and know how hard it is! You got this! Keep up the good work!
I wish you the best and one test does not define you. You honestly inspire me to study more and live a healthier life, but I also want to say thank you so much for wearing a mask in the drive through. I work at Starbucks and I can’t tell you how many people don’t wear one when coming through
Aww thank you so much for your comment! I wish more people wore their masks at drive throughs...it's so important and I think of it as a courtesy to let everyone know "hey, I care about you and your health & we're all in this together!" Thanks for much for working to hard during this time, you're amazing 💕
Your work ethic is so motivating! As a university student I know the feeling of being mad at yourself when you don't think you did your best. Keep your head up I'm sure you killed it girl!
Honestly you are a huge inspiration of mine in terms of work ethic and school and seeing you “fail” only makes me respect you more. You’ve got this !!!
Girl I appreciate the honesty. I totally passed my written and failed my skill test by making such a stupid mistake I should have known! Was so simple and I messed up cause my nerves as well. Thank you for this video because I’ve felt so bad about myself . When I was in school I tested the highest and was confident in myself because I worked and studies so hard. I guess we all have to fall down a few times , but the ones who get up over and over again will be the ones who will succeed. My SB is tomorrow, so fingers crossed. Thank you again for your pure honesty and I wish you the best in your career, I know you will move mountains ...
If anything, seeing a RUclipsr you admire "fail" at something or show a path other than picture perfect is more inspiring because it makes you more relatable. Im an EMT-B Student, and like you said, you potentially failing your first skills exam doesn't determine whether or not you will be a good or bad CNA or even Nurse! Love watching your vlogs and always rooting for you!
This semester definitely wasn't normal for anyone and you worked so hard to accomplish what you could! Regardless of the test results you learned a lot of material and if you have to take the test again you will be even more prepared. Now you know what to expect and how to better pace yourself! You are going to do well and this one test doesn't define you!
this made me feel so much better about my rough semester, i've always watched your videos for inspiration and was amazed by your motivation but this was such a good reminder that we are all human
hey i’m a cna too and i had to take the skills test twice so don’t worry about it! i just got into nursing school and working as a cna in a hospital really helped!!
I failed my skills test the first time around and it was a dumb error I knew I made too. But I went back around with less nerves and killed it! You got this girl!!!
I just love how after this experience you said you’re going home to start on your homework. I literally watch your videos now when I feel I’m procrastinating and I want get motivated to start working. I have a full time job, and I’m studying for a Masters degree, and there is also, well, life. Sometimes things feel out of control and that’s when I like to procrastinate the most, but now I have the solution: watch a Kiara video. It doesn’t matter if it’s old or new, they’re all motivating. Keep up the good work, Kiara!
hi kiara! i’m a 3rd yr student nurse here in the PH and i totally get the feeling of being prepared and still not doing good on my skills lab return demonstrations. what you’re feeling is completely valid. but you can rise from it, and do better next time. as what you said in the video, it is a learning experience ❤️ i hope you’re doing better now! stay safe always ❤️
You are one of my favorite RUclipsrs, watching you study and work hard for the things you want has inspired me to push myself and do the best I can, but also knowing that my best doesn’t have to be everyone’s definition of best, you are amazing and I can’t wait to see where you go
Hey Kiara! I have watched your video's for 4+ years now, (found your channel when looking for inspo for my new university dorm room) basically from the start to the end of my studies to become a registered dietitian in South Africa, and I am so thankful for your vulnerability and honesty in your videos. This video reminded me so much of my final exam in November and I relate so much to how you felt afterwards. Hoping your exam results are better than you expected and that you pass first time! (But also... exams are so hard sometimes and re-examinations are REAL, and that's totally okay too) Much love
Your videos always motivate me to be at my best!! There might be ups and downs, but I love that you've shared the whole process you've gone through, better and worse situations included. No matter what the result is, it doesn't define you nor the hard work you've put in to get where you are. Thank you for all your videos: studying related, ski related, with your friends, all of them. They really do bright up one's day :)
Everything happens for a reason, whether it’s success or a learning opportunity! Keep working hard and staying positive, manifest happiness!! I’m from Canada and the health/ nursing system is different here and I’m curious if you could highlight in a video the different professions of nursing and how it works?
first off, failure makes you so much more relatable. second, I live with a nursing major and your concerns remind me of her's. what I tell her all the time is that skills, test-taking, etc., can always be improved upon, but what matters the most to someone like me (someone who's awful in science and could potentially be a future hospital patient) is a nurse's overall demeanor and personality. you just seem very patient, kind, and genuine, and that to me is what makes a nurse, and that's something that no one can teach you :)
the clip in your car being an hour early is gonna be so cute to re watch for your first nursing school clinical or your first day of orientation as a new grad RN :') cant wait for the montage lol
I’ve been working as a CNA in a hospital for the past year to get patient care experience for PA school :) it’s hard work but worth it! you got this girl!!
Keep your head up girl! I am sure you passed just because you mentioned what you could've done differently in the skill. I am currently a CNA but when it came to taking the state board exam I ended up failing the written and passing the clinical. If you don't pass (which I am sure you will pass) don't beat yourself over it. Learn from your mistakes and always keep your head up! (:
You got this Kiara! Each step you take towards your goal is a milestone! Don’t forget to realize that you’ve already come so far and all the awesome milestones you accomplished to where you are in life right now 🍀
You’ve got this, failure is apart of progress. Sometimes things don’t go the way we want them to at first & that’s ok, as long as there is forward movement you will be ok.
Aw try not to be so hard on yourself!! You work so hard and I know you are going to be an excellent CNA and nurse one day! I am in my final year of nursing school right now and watching your videos throughout the past 4 years has always motivated me and encouraged me to do my best and study hard! I wanted to let you know that because you helped me get through nursing school and you will be able to do it too!! You got this! 💕
I’m studying nursing also but I’m Australia. Don’t be too hard on yourself I’m like you and like to do things perfectly. But practice makes perfect in this career we are always learning how to do things better for our patients. As frustrating as it is whatever your results are you will be a fantastic nurse 👩⚕️ God bless xx
Hey, I wrote the LSAT multiple times to get into law school. Now I'm halfway through my degree! It doesn't matter and doesn't mean anything. If that's your dream keep trying until you get there!
I went through my CNA school in high school and I remember covid hit the day before we were supposed to take our test. I ended up taking it a month in a half later and I was sooo nervous. I messed up as well, I went through it super fast because I just wanted it over with and I ended up passing. You got this! Just breathe:)
I’m going to grad school to be a school psychologist and we have so many competency exams on the assessments we learn how to administer and I had a similar experience were I went through to fast and made simple mistakes but it is all a learning experience! Nothing can take your light or drive and you will kill it next time if you have to take it again!! you will feel so much more comfortable in the environment if you need to take it again that was what I kept telling myself through my journey and it really did help!! Love you girly!!
Kiara, your self talk is impressive and inspiring! You were disappointed but still kept a positive attitude and acknowledged what you did well and that it was a learning experience. You should be incredibly proud of yourself!
You are such a hard worker and an amazing person! I bet you did AMAZING! Even though you may not feel like it, your attitude about the situation is A+ that is a great way to think about these things good on you!
You got this! It’s okay to not be okay but pick yourself up and get ready for next time 😇 I’m in nursing school and during one of my skills test I was so nervous I had to take a step back and correct myself. We’ve all been there!
I’m totally the same with early morning nausea! I’m sure the exam went better than you thought, you picked up on your mistake so that is key as I’m sure they’re aware you’re nervous! Good luck!
You're incredible. I will have been watching your videos for a year on Boxing Day and I know that in a year's time from now you will look back on this test as a lesson. Sending love :)
We all see how hard you work for the things you want to accomplish! Sending positive vibes, love and strength as you wait for your results. We believe in you! 🥰
Fellow UO student and current CNA 2 here! I also got the urinary drainage bag with donning and doffing PPE for my mandatory hand washing skill, and I was sure I messed up somewhere. I admittedly cried afterward when someone paid for my coffee ahead of me... lol. My point is, do NOT panic about it yet! I had to also restart my pulse and was shaking while taking it, and I still passed with 100% on every skill. You got it!! Also, yes! You can re-perform a skill in Oregon and have it checked off like you did it correct the first time.
The stuff you learn in your classes can only be tested to a certain extent, the real learning happens out on the floor. I can say this from experience. I had zero confidence in my abilities when I first started. It was scary, new, kind of awkward..but it all becomes second nature the more you do it!! Don't be too hard on yourself! I'm sure you did great on your test.
WELL DONE! Just remember the more you do this kind of thing the easier it will get and the more your confidence will grow. Setbacks are really just guideposts to keep you on your path and they help you to stay humble, work hard and keep focused. It is all such amazing experience and part of your journey to becoming an AWESOME nurse! Keep going you've got this! Xx
It will be o.k. Ki. Often the lessons/skills that we learn from the best, are the ones that at first we fail at... and next time you are faced with the same scenario, you will remember, and get it spot on. 🧡 your openness and honesty. Hugs for you.
I hope you did well! I feel like it's a good thing you realized you made a mistake, and told them when they asked. I really hope you passed but if not now you know how the exam goes and such which many times it's a big part of the exam itself, just knowing its quirks and what to expect. Whatever the result you are such an amazing person and student, a real inspiration to watch ❤❤
I have a cousin who never studied much, we studied together but she gives most of her time to her phone than her studies after writing the cna exam last month she passed and i failed😢, i asked her how she did it, just found out she got help from Mr Richard 🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🫢🫢🫢🫢🫢
Please don’t worry, I’ve been in many situations alike in my degree (rad tech) and have got myself so flustered over the smallest of things! I’ve learnt to take it as it comes and I’m sure you’ve tried your very best :)
You’ve got this!! It’s hard for skills tests like that because you want to be exact like the book but the real world won’t always be exact. Don’t be too hard on yourself!!
I told my 18 year old ... there is this thing called bedside manner quality that you have that would make me feel so comfortable with you! I wish you the very best!
I have that too! Whenever I have to get up early, I simply cannot eat (except for maybe a piece of fruit). Relatable content!! Don't let this discourage you by the way! An arrow is always pulled back before it shoots forward. May sounds cheesy but it's true! Love your vids and keep up the good work, Kiara!
You're amazing! Never forget that, failure is part of being human, nobodys perfect, you're going to be an excellent nurse, a stupid exam does not define you. Love lots Kiara!!! 😉😊🤗
On test days I eat some good proteins for breakfast; an omelette or ham sandwich... and drink enough. It helps my concentration and I usually am hungry, especially when something difficult is ahead of me, being fed calms me down :)
I am sure you have done brilliantly! You work so hard and you are so inspirational! I have my first set of Physiotherapy (Physical Therapist) exams after Christmas and I am so nervous! Lots of love xxx
You're doing great. I know school and hands on experience things can be hard but you live and you learn. No one expects you to perform perfectly, especially during an exam. If something happened it did for a reason and you will better in the long run for it:) Keep pushing through, you can do this.
Aw so proud of you for working so hard, you're so inspiring! Your attitude is amazing and no matter what happens know that we're all here rooting for you
I’ll be qualified to take my certification to be a Medical Coder after next spring, but I still have a summer and fall semester of school after that. Weird how things fall like that sometimes but hopefully this time next year I’ll have that job secured. Thank you for taking us with you! I love seeing any behind-the-scenes of the medical world.
I just became certified as a CNA in CA and I failed my skills test the first time. It sucked but definitely pushed me to do better on the re-test. Stay positive, take it as a learning experience, you got this! 😊
Hey girl, sending you the best vibes. My first semester of nursing school I was convinced I failed my first simulation exam (OSCE)- I even cried during it LOL. I ended up getting a 92%! We always do better than we think- we are own worst critics. I know you got this!
i love being able to watch these milestones in your life :,)
Me too!! Love your channel btw
ily miss keegan 💕
kiara u study and work so hard i'm sure you did great! we're all so proud of you :))
thanks love 💕
I wish you the best! You got this. Something that got me recently is that we don’t learn how to do things from our success but from our failures because it makes us go back and clean our minds to do it again. Enjoy the process
So well put! Thanks for watching and commenting 💕
Nice video 🥰🥰🥳your video is so cool, honestly CNA is such a difficult test man , really don’t know what to do but I’m never losing hope.
Absolutely correct ..
@jammyblack6856 wow so sorry you failed , I have heard so much about Willard but I don’t actually have his info
@celine210henderson7 I’m from NY please how can I reach out to Mr Willard I’ve already failed a lot of times and lost money to reviews that never helped ..

@georginawilliams5537 I’m glad to have been able to achieve success in CNA when I read through a post about him and how to get started with his help .
I became a CNA at 17 in high school and I remember getting urinary drainage bag as one of my skills! You’ve got this!
that's amazing! It's honestly a good skill 😂
I was 15 turning 16 in high school when I was talking the CNA classes. I had the bed pan! You got this, don’t over think it!
I took the CNA class and at the end of my skills, I realized I forgot to do something, fixed it, and still passed. It's totally fine and the cortisol surge is too real!

@@KiaraMadisen I totally passed! Thanks for asking! Just followed the ARC skills and the bold skills specifically:)

hi kiara! i’m a 3rd yr student nurse here in the PH and i totally get the feeling of being prepared and still not doing good on my skills lab return demonstrations. what you’re feeling is completely valid. but you can rise from it, and do better next time. as what you said in the video, it is a learning experience ❤️ i hope you’re doing better now! stay safe always ❤️
(But also... exams are so hard sometimes and re-examinations are REAL, and that's totally okay too)
Much love
Wow props to you! I really have so much respect for CNAs...they are amazing and do SO much!
Thank you for showing the raw emotions and milestones in your life !! You're so inspiring
I’m so excited for you. I hope you get what you want!
Thanks Palmer!
You got this Kiara! Each step you take towards your goal is a milestone! Don’t forget to realize that you’ve already come so far and all the awesome milestones you accomplished to where you are in life right now 🍀
You’ve got this, failure is apart of progress. Sometimes things don’t go the way we want them to at first & that’s ok, as long as there is forward movement you will be ok.
so true 💕
You got this!! You’re such an amazing person and motivate me to be productive:) 💓💓
I'm so glad! Thanks for watching and commenting Melanie!
I’m just so proud of you
You’re literally the best studier (if thats a word) ever! You are so inspiring! I can’t wait to see the places you’ll go! xx
Wow, thank you! I'm not perfect, but I do try to stick to my methods :)
Thanks Samantha I appreciate it!
Good luck!
Glad I'm not alone! Thank you so much for watching 💕
I love you Kiara. You inspire me to be better ❤️
you're amazing..thanks for the support 💕
Everything will be ok! You’re super hardworking !🖤
thanks Anna 💕
Very true! Thanks for commenting Meghan, you're amazing ❤️
Kiara you got this, I have high hopes that you will do well and I believe in you
The CNA exam is very difficult to pass, I can't believe i failed after studying with so many materials😞
Sometimes it doesn't matter how hard you study you also need to pray to God for success
@ very correct
I have a cousin who never studied much, we studied together but she gives most of her time to her phone than her studies after writing the cna exam last month she passed and i failed😢, i asked her how she did it, just found out she got help from Mr Richard 🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🫢🫢🫢🫢🫢
Please does anyone know who this Mr Richard is? I really need to speak with him I'm frustrated 🥺
Wow so sorry you failed, i have heard so much about Richard but I don't actually have his info
I love you Kiara ❤ I'm very proud of you for everything! Also don't be afraid of failure embrace it and stand back up strong 🥰
I hope your doing amazing Kiara! Sending you so much love! 🤗💕
thanks Amber, I hope you are too 💕
You’ve been such an inspiration kiara. You got this!!! Keep going we’re here for you! Love lots💗😘
Please don’t worry, I’ve been in many situations alike in my degree (rad tech) and have got myself so flustered over the smallest of things! I’ve learnt to take it as it comes and I’m sure you’ve tried your very best :)
Such good advice, thanks for watching & commenting 💕
Love the video! It’s the best where Kiara uploads!
Thanks for watching Addison! Love ya!
yes!! i know you did amazing Kiara!! your videos give me so much motivation, especially during finals week!! ❤️sending love from California!!
aww I hope all your finals went well! Thanks so much for watching and commenting!
@@KiaraMadisen thank you!! 🥰
You’ve got this!! It’s hard for skills tests like that because you want to be exact like the book but the real world won’t always be exact. Don’t be too hard on yourself!!
so true :/ thanks for the pep talk 💕
I told my 18 year old ... there is this thing called bedside manner quality that you have that would make me feel so comfortable with you! I wish you the very best!
You are doing so well, please don't be discouraged! xx
Was busy with school and finally have the opportunity to watch your videos again! Good content!
You're amazing! Never forget that, failure is part of being human, nobodys perfect, you're going to be an excellent nurse, a stupid exam does not define you. Love lots Kiara!!! 😉😊🤗
This test does not define you. Keep the drive going love
Thanks love 💕
It'll all turn out okay!! Whatever happens, happens! And like you said its a learning experience either way! + you probably did better than you think!
I literally find it difficult to eat in the morning of an exam or big test just because of nerves!
same!!
I'm proud of you for doing your best!!!
thanks love 💕
I just became certified as a CNA in CA and I failed my skills test the first time. It sucked but definitely pushed me to do better on the re-test. Stay positive, take it as a learning experience, you got this! 😊
Thanks for sharing Leslie that makes me feel better :)
Hey kiara, you did your very best. We’re all so proud of you ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ good or bad, we’re here for you. Lots of love 😘
Hey girl, sending you the best vibes. My first semester of nursing school I was convinced I failed my first simulation exam (OSCE)- I even cried during it LOL. I ended up getting a 92%! We always do better than we think- we are own worst critics. I know you got this!
I'm sure you did amazing! Current CNA/CMT (medication tech)/HHA (home health). 🧡
it’s ok babe we all know and sure you did your best and don't forget beautiful things will come♥️♥️♥️
Wish you the best!! This happens and its part of the "job", you've got this! Dont give up!! I am also a nursing student in Portugal 😊
Loved this video so much! Hope you did well on your exam
