So when we beat the Sonics in the first round, back then 1st round was best of 5, but first time an 8 seed beat a #1 seed. All that to say that Kemp was one of those talents that only come along every once in a great while. Not only a great dunker but soooo much more, played D, had a great mid-range game also and could knock down that long range 3 when he needed to. The reality is that's the cards you're dealt when you're drafted. Sometimes the stars align and you see success in spades, but there's a laundry list of special talents that for whatever reason didn't reach the promise land. If you're a true sports fan you've seen it in all of the big four sports. Sorry for the rant just hit me right and I couldn't stop typing!!!!! ✌️❤️🙏

As a kid growing up just outside of Seattle in the early 90's... Mannnn..... Kemp & Payton was special.
There's nobody I liked watching more than prime reignman, just a nasty mf'r...
Real NBA fans KNOW how amazing The Reign Man was... we know.
Rockets fan here and there was no team in the NBA I looked more forward to playing against than the Sonics in the early-mid 90's. They were our toughest matchup and to this day, they're the most exciting team I've ever watched. The games between the Rockets and Sonics between '93 and '95 were epic. Just an absolute beast of a player and team and it's too bad they underachieved in the playoffs during that period.
Even the Cava Kemp showed he could shoot better than he got credit for.. but he been a bucket his whole career.
Sean was nice on and off the court, so good and such a good human being. I’m glad he’s doing well today.
He was my number 1 NBA icon and I felt sad to see him losing from the Bulls. I still believe that he could have earn this ring with a different coach.
What an incredible player, so exciting to watch him playing
This era carried me through the best childhood ever ❤ this era basketball and the hip hop, I was hypnotized like these young guys now on drill rap 🔫. 😄
Born in the 1980 we were very blessed to have watched players from late 80s till now.

I thought there were no athletes in the 90s, only plumbers?

That was my team love Shawn Kemp & the glove. Those were the days & they were great for years.
Shawn Kemp and Dominique were the first to mesmerise me with their athleticism. I was hooked on basketball after seeing that
