if each hum had a single/hum, parallel/series, out/in phase switches you could have up to 4 single coil combinations and 4 combinations for each hum, which adds 4+4 combinations for the 2 hums seperately + 4*4 combinations for the 2 hums used together. that's 28 combinations in total ))
Would be interesting to hear this guitar through straight into a nice warm tube Fender amp as your reference amp. Something like a Princeton Reverb or Deluxe Reverb. I think there may be more tunefulness and tonal variety available in your guitar, but the amp and its settings, I suspect, is letting it down. Interesting ideas though...
i'm modding my rga8 with a lundgren m8 and i'm thinking about a dimarzio d-activator 8, i'm putting a 5 way selector in it with 2 push pull coil tapping volume pots, that'll give me 16 pickup combinations with 2 pickups \m/ i'll upload a demonstration as soon as i get it done, it might be a little while yet because i'm tight on money, but i'm pushing as soon as possible \m/
The idea is interesting, but the way you shot it... Why the fuck all the switches are beyond the screen? How the hell am I supposed to understand which switch you trifle there?
