    I believe that the B1G will make a huge loan to FSU to allow them to leave the ACC. Both U Maryland and Rutgers got major loans from the B1G in 2014. Both are still repaying. Rutgers will get its first full payment from the B1G in 2027 after final loan payment.

    • @ddcs0s
      @ddcs0s 6 месяцев назад

      What needs to happen is FSU and the ACC need to settle out of court and sign a NDA stopping the rest of the programs in the ACC from using FSUs case against them I'd argue half of the 500M payout is a fair compromise so 250M ... From there the B1G could write the check as a loan giving FSU a half share until the loan is paid off ... The current B1G payout is around 80M per school and FSU along with the Western Expansion would probably move the needle closer to 100M per school as is the experts are saying that's the estimated B1G payout once USC UCLA Oregon and Washington start playing in the B1G ... That would mean FSU would make 50M a year for a few years which is still more than they will ever make in the ACC and the loan would be paid off in 5 years ... even at 80M per year FSU would make 40M per year (still more than they would make in the ACC) and the loan would be paid off in 6 or 7 years ... Worst case scenario the ACC doesn't play ball and it takes twice as long to pay of the loans so 10 to 13 years but even then FSU would make more per year in the B1G paying off a loan getting a half share than they will ever make in the ACC

      No Miami, their fanbase is fickle and weak and their product isn't the best. Private schools are not the best fit into the B1G and I know that as a Northwestern alumnus. USC and ND are the only privates that can bridge the gap as both have a century of strong football, which Miami does not.

      @@fecat93 I disagree. The Big Ten has Northwestern in forever, it now has USC in, wants ND, and has no problem with Miami as a private school either. Academics are excellent at all 4. The Big Ten is interested in viewers in Florida so with FSU and Miami they get the north and south covered.
