I just saw the IAW video. You were awesome, you should be very proud. I think you inspired and reminded all those who were in attendance of why THEY love wood carving, teaching and sharing the craft. Thanks for all your time and your enthusiasm.
Just started watching your videos the other day. Also watched you do your International episode. You are an inspiration to the carving community. I'm working on the nativity scene. Can't wait to do the wise men. Thx for your content!
Thank you so much for taking a moment to say that. I really appreciate it!! I'm as excited for the wise men to go up as everyone. Been working on them and I should be on track to have the video for them up on Monday. Thanks for watching! =)
I just came across your channel and absolutely love this. I've watched a lot of Doug Linker over the years as well. I will definitely be carving this nativity series and will be exploring your other videos. Keep up this amazing work.
Nice Job Johnny! Like the background music, sort of an ASMR flair to it! You're getting me inspired to whack some wood!! LoL!! So, you know, getting obsessed with the cleanup cuts, afterwhile everyone is going to tell you, "Gee Nice Toothpick!!" OH, wait, those are the chips... Right?? LoL!!
Great job Johnny! I appreciate the shout out and your respectful approach to the subject matter.
Oh and the penny for the head outline is a nice trick!
I'm super glad you think so brother. Thanks so much for saying so!

@@ricksmith3125 I'm going to get more into power carving at some point, but all that is more expensive than whittling so it'll have to wait.
Hank you for these carvings! I did all three in 1x1 and they turned out great! Look forward to seeing your wisemen!

He was wrapped in swaddling cloth..... A material used for burial when travelling long distances..... perhaps the same cloth found in his tomb.

That's awesome, Thanks for watching brother!
OMG yes , I don't see myself as an artist, and my wife will look at a carving half done, and comment.
@@ryan199948 It's the same whoever we are or however far into it we get! Thanks for watching Ryan! 😀

I have a 60° 3/8 inch V tool that really helped with this carving.
@@ryan199948 I'm sure it did. A Vtool can almost always be put to good use on a carving.
Johnny! Did you just call me a Woodchuck? I love marmots, so I'll allow it.
@@mikereed4876 😆 🤣 😆 Why not. I've been playing around with different greetings. I don't want to be boring! 😀
