    Just as this carving we come to Jesus as children 🙏 and serve him in all we do and say ....thank you for doing this carving I am going to start my own

    I just saw the IAW video. You were awesome, you should be very proud. I think you inspired and reminded all those who were in attendance of why THEY love wood carving, teaching and sharing the craft. Thanks for all your time and your enthusiasm.

      @@ricksmith3125 I'm going to get more into power carving at some point, but all that is more expensive than whittling so it'll have to wait.

    He was wrapped in swaddling cloth..... A material used for burial when travelling long distances..... perhaps the same cloth found in his tomb.

    I just came across your channel and absolutely love this. I've watched a lot of Doug Linker over the years as well. I will definitely be carving this nativity series and will be exploring your other videos. Keep up this amazing work.

      I have a 60° 3/8 inch V tool that really helped with this carving.

      @@ryan199948 I'm sure it did. A Vtool can almost always be put to good use on a carving.

    Nice Job Johnny! Like the background music, sort of an ASMR flair to it! You're getting me inspired to whack some wood!! LoL!! So, you know, getting obsessed with the cleanup cuts, afterwhile everyone is going to tell you, "Gee Nice Toothpick!!" OH, wait, those are the chips... Right?? LoL!!
