Here in the UK we cannot self scan you'd have to take them back to the store and get the shop assistant to do it. I counted about $15 in words, but when I scanned it I got an even bigger surprise seeing it was worth more! :D It helped me out and made my day when it happened.

I scratched a $10,000 ticket. It was a gift from my aunt and uncle two Christmas ago. I scratched the 5 they got me. Nothing. Last one hit $10,000 My parents yelled at me to give it back them. They struggle. Messed up they actually took it. I was like why do you give them if you don’t want the person to win big and keep it.
I bought 5 of the $2 Holiday tiickets, and got a $500.00 win on one of them. I put $400.00 of it in my bank account, and kept $100.00 to use for Christmas
Well it weren't exactly profitable he lost around $22.50. Making a profit would mean he would have to win any amount over the money he paid . So he paid $150. They won $255. Then you have to split that in two, meaning effectively they get $127.50 back each. Meaning he made a loss off $22.50. Still a very good book considering how much they made back from $300 however. Losing $45 Is nothing to be ashamed of
im surprised there are no lawsuits for stuff like this cause if the odds of winning are 1 in 4 and it was over 10 tickets before a win that is not 1 in 4

Its not 1 win in every 4 straight tickets. Its in all of the tickets they print out that 25% of them will be winners. Its like when he got back to back wins thats not 1 in 4. Stay in school.

Long story short, gave lottery scratch off to wife and 2 kids. Wife let youngest scratch hers, won 100 and i broke his heart telling him it was his mom's ticket. Fast forward 4 yrs ago ( 20 some years later). Started saving 2 dollar scratch of winners till dec 20th when I reached 100. I wrapped them up and gave it to him as a Xmas present. He was thankful, esp when I reminded him of why. Few minutes later, he says "you didn't just buy these did you? " Nope I answered , then he realized I scratched and saved a whole year to reach his number!!

Any retailer that sells tickets should be willing to sell you a full pack.
Keep in mind the most common result is you lose half your money. Good luck!

My dad won 10000 dollars on a 10 dollar monopoly in 2017 when I convinced him to buy one when he got his tax returns check.
