Empowering Places: Impact on people

The Empowering Places programme funds community anchor organisations in six areas of high deprivation to ‘catalyse’ and support the growth of new community businesses, contributing to an overarching vision of more prosperous places, with more jobs and opportunities for local people.
This film was produced by Close-Up on behalf of Renaisi, who have been evaluating the programme for the last three years. It features three catalyst organisations: B-Inspired in Leicester, The Wharton Trust in Hartlepool, and Made in Manningham in Bradford, as well as some of community businesses that they have supported.
