100% been on the 980 for about 6 months and its sick! 85kgs its perfect. Tried shimming the mast foot as others have done it just did not work for me at all. It works as is IMO but I'm relative beginner
I believe projected area is the better way to measure lift. Things like winglets provide efficiency, but not lift. Downward curve provides carvability but not lift. I design my own foils including some recent ones with tubercles. Typically I load my 3D file to meshlab, run the surface area calculation, halve it to get one face and then subtract a %, varying depending on curvature. i.e. a very flat high aspect wing I might subtract 4%, a thicker wing with downward tip curve, I'd maybe subtract 10%

Loving my 1210 Kujira for Wing and SUP, easy to pump, very stable at high and low speed. Thanks this was a great review Real!

I would think the downward curve would offer more resistance/drag as it increases the relative thickness of the leading edge.

The LOL 1600 is about 1900cm2 in actual size. Similar to the Slingshot Infinity 84 front wing in size.
Can you also use them for kite foiling?
So does the kujira fit onto the same fuse as the Lol?
I emailed Takuma and they said it fits on the fuselage.
Can we mix them? Should a front wing Profoil work with a kujira backwind?
