I don't rate my old 600mil one. The metal strap snapped and when drinking out of it I found it hard work as the nozzle kept closing. Also hard to squeeze
According to the manual "The TWIST bottle 800 is dishwasher-safe up to 50°C WITHOUT THE HOLDER.." Since I usually fill my bottles with isotonic drinks, I always put them in the dishwasher WITHOUT the magnetic holder. Which on the 450 and 590 ml are a breeze to demount with a simple allen key. Having to undo two tiny screws for every time I want to put the bottle in the dishwasher puts me off buying the 800 ml version. If you ónly use still water and find it sufficient to rinse it after every use, this would be a great option for hot summer or long rides. For me, the hassle of demounting the holder would outweigh the benefits of a larger container..
Does the bottle hit the frame during rough terrain? Running the 590ml and love it, like the look of the new 800ml for days I feel like more than 590ml but don’t feel like carrying my 2L evoc hydration pack
@@egbah428 yeah, fit is not the issue. I just wondered whether the 800ml bottle would hit the frame from bouncing up and down in rough terrain as it sticks out a fair way from the magnetic base
@@jedmtb No, i don't have a dishwasher. I wash my other water bottles by hand on the sink. I'm just worried that the water and dishwashing liquid might damage the connector if I wash it while the belt is on.
Does that black bottle warm up your water quite a bit on hot days?

Time to upgrade?
Hi! My Fidlock 800ml bottle has a plastic smell and water gets a plastic taste... washing in the dishwasher did not help. What about yours?
Hi, mine had a slight taste of plastic when new but doesn't have any taste now.
Excellent review.
Are the magnets and the belt dishwasher safe aswell?
Fidlock say they are dishwasher safe.

It’s hasn’t on my bike.
@@jedmtb sweet, good to know
@@lemonadejars I have a 600ml. I had to turn the magnets around on bottle and holder to make mine fit. No probs since

@@lemonadejars that's why I changed it. It fit but rattled off the top so I reversed it which gave me clearance now no issues
Hi, Jed. Just bought my Twist 800ml. Just want to ask if I need to remove the bottle belt and connector when cleaning?
I think it’s recommended if you’re using a dishwasher, I wash mine by hand so I keep them on.

I have about i cm clearance with 800. Do you think this is too tite?
Could be but it's hard to say unless it can be tested.
@@jedmtb Yeah. I just found out that the bottle hits my shock when is compressed. Thx for that template tho.
Hey there Jed, I miss your videos and just wanted to say hi. Are you still riding?
Thanks :) Yes I'm still riding but unfortunately my bike is currently broken, I'll do a video when I get it back.
Hey Jed does this rattle much? With it being so big?
It doesn’t rattle on my frame.
@@jedmtb thanks 🙏
How’s the wreckoning going Jed, looks nice. 🔥
good👍
Nowhere in North America yet =(
That’s a shame, hopefully it’ll not be too long till there is stock.
