Really? Isnt it just another fold with now more screen space? Design wise, it doesn't come close to how iconic the original Razr series were! I still prefer the style of the First Gen foldable android razr than its successors for its resemblance to the original razr. I love that thick chin touching my face when I use it 😊
@@hruaitearalte it's still similar to the original RAZR in that it flips eventually all phones must upgrade...but the RAZR has a huge screen in the front something iPhone will eventually copy having a screen in the back lol mark my words
The key is, can you hang up on somebody by flipping that thing shut? I miss those days.

This is one of the coolest phones I've ever seen.

I like the normal razor more than the razor Plus for some reason nothing to do with cost I think the design is sleek, functional, a less-is-more approach..
Exactly, why do people want a big screen at the bag? all the finger prints and if you want a masssive screen at the back might aswell not get a flip bruh- like samsung galaxy z flip 4 and the motoral razr are great with the cover display cause its sleek and has the basic functions you need.
I want to buy it. Not sure about its build quality, can you please give me your opinion.

I pre-ordered my Razr+, and am waiting for it to ship. I ordered it from Best Buy since they offered it with $100 off with activation. Originally the website said to expect it around June 27th, but now it's July 1st, and the shipping info was barely given to USPS. But, I can't wait for it to arrive!

@@PeanutGallery96 I just got it yesterday, and so far, it's pretty good. It's pretty fast. Can't speak about battery life just yet since I haven't used it for a full charge yet, but it does seem to deplete faster than my Moto One 5G Ace. Android 13 is a bit different than 12, but all the gestures are still there(including shake for flashlight, which works open or closed). Hit me up in a few days and I can probably give you a better review of it after some real use.
@@PeanutGallery96 here's my update after having the phone for almost a week.
It's a good phone overall. The battery lasts much longer than expected. My old Moto One 5G Ace had a 5000mAh battery, and would last a similar amount of time to the RAZR. The screen is good, but I wouldn't like a case that has a kickstand so I can go full screen on RUclips and not have to hold it up, or have it slightly folded. The fingerprint reader on the power button is generally good, even with dirty fingers. However, when you're just trying to open the outer screen, it will try to read the fingerprint and give a warning. Not an issue when wearing gloves. Not all apps support the outer screen, but it's still good for Google maps once navigation starts. The camera is a little wonky with colors in some situations, adding more red to the color, or making it look more animated rather than realistic, depending on the situation. Though, I haven't messed with the camera that much to really get into it.
All in all, it's a great phone, and I don't regret getting it.

After almost a decade of the same boring phone designs which are basically a rectangle with lenses in the back, this phone gives me hope.
Reminds me of the times right before smartphone’s when phones came in all shapes and sizes, the flip designs, the snaps, the swipe ups, the rotating ones, the blackberry!
I will definitely buy this phone it looks so nice! Different and exciting

Outside screens don‘t make sense on this form factor.
But a small notification strip does.
Looks better but no water proofness is the biggest flaw of this product over Samsung
The original Zflips from samsung aren't waterproof either, only the Zllip4 phones.
Why mention old tech when talks are about the latest techs lol
Never has that feature been more overrated. No manufacturer will fix/replace a water damaged phone with regular factory warranty.....
Moto also only gets like 1 software update which is a big no to me
@carlbrenda6518 Sure. Because manufacturers would not know how deep into water you dropped it into. But if it survives a couple of accidental spills and drops into water, then that water resistance feature saved you a couple thousand dollars! It's definitely worth it.

I had a Z Flip 4 for a few months before the screen went black and it wouldn't open all the way due to the hinge breaking
I got the 4 day it came out not one issue n my dog chewed on the corner a bit so to each is own but the razor didn’t survive the 2000s why will it be able to jump into a market like todays n takeover NO WAY it will lag or have same issues original flip had NOBODIES BEATING IPHONE N SAMSUNG ONLY ONE CLOSE IS HUWAIE N AMERICANS CANNOT BUY THERE FLAGSHIP

The plus offers that great second screen and the regular version is there for people who are fine with a more affordable model and just one usable screen.
Also fhe design difference is great for aesthetics

crazy take, its easily the best motorola camera possibly ever, the selfie camera is stupid big, and you can take videos in 4k 60fps. but yeah its just another weak camera cause its not apple or samsung. original take@@mannyblackstar

It's alright seems. I have a normal Motorola g power ( 2022 ) and it works absolutely fine as a large thing, fits in my pocket, and is better to do art on.

The back screen can be used as the main screen if the inner screen is broken I would know from experience

Got the flip 3 last December, and I fcking hate folding phones now. It's all cool until the screen protector starts to bubble up and you have to bring it to an officially licensed place to have it swapped out. Until they make folding smart phones that have 2 screens with/out a bezzle in between, I'm never getting another.
I've never had that problem with my Razr 2020.
I just replaced the screen protector myself but this was a year after initial purchase and the replacement acts just like the original
I might be wrong but I think with the flip 1 and 2 the protector was basically part of the screen but with flip 3 it's just an external protector. Some people choose to remove it but I wouldn't recommend that

I bought a 2021, and it stopped working even before being paid off. The reliable of this phone would be considered again!

There's room for both. The Razrs look great, and it's excellent they're offering the bargain version to expand the folding user base, but the Flip 5 will be the clear choice for me. I prefer the Samsung ecosystem, the superior chipset, the more efficent battery useage and, huge for a long time Samsung user, their excellent trade-in program that I hope will again be the case, come July 27th. People that are trying to draw comparisons between the Razr + and the Flip FOUR are just wasting their time.....or are incredibly impatient.

I was going to go for the razr+, but the z flip 5 preorder + trade-in deal was way too good. Got my 512gb z flip 5 for $82 with my S20 FE trade-in.

See my kids (4) have iPads phones computers and my husband and I switched to android. Did you know you can get Apple Music ect and all the apple stuff still on android? It’s not like it used to be. Make the switch… I’m very glad we did with our phones.
