This loophole is covered now. It don't allow to go next on message "couldn't sign in ...... try again or connect to another wi-fi wifi network" As i tried on my S6 Plus. You have only option of going back and try again.

instead of trying to sign in when the phone requests using a previously synced account, just hit the NEXT button and it will let you skip this step, and then you can set up your own account. I used my current gmail account and it synced to the cloud and retrieved my phone numbers.
I just did this last night on a straight talk lg I did have to do things a little different, but it worked on my phone on the set-up screen I had a "safe mode' opt I hit that it will take you into really basic phone settings the trick was to go to next then accessibility I on the accessibility feature shortcut and right below that is a opt to switch access by configurable key combination's and I followed those direction" s and I was able to just by pass all the sighn in , you can always go to you tube and signed in later that took
