Thank you so much! I’m having fun trying different camera angles and editing techniques. I really appreciate the encouragement 😀
@@Amy_Dwyer Keep going!!! 😃
Yeah pretty much month 5 for me was first toilet clog. No flush wipes flushed was the culprit.
Oh wow, must be the 5 month curse lol! Glad we weren’t the only ones who experienced this 😀
Having good Resorces to fix issues fast is a key to be successful in any business, glad you found the roots of the problem, what do you recommend, 3 or 4 bedrooms for Airbnb rental?
We’re glad we were able to track down the problem as well! The size really depends on the market and what kind of groups are traveling to the area. Bigger isn’t always better in terms of cash flow. I would look in airdna to see the average group size in your market and what size of listings have the most competition. Hope that helps!
THANK YOU!! @@Amy_Dwyer
that's pretty tame, :). that's pretty tame, :).
Haha yes, I’m sure we’ll have other surprises in our future that will be harder. This just felt like a lot to deal with as new hosts but I’m sure it won’t feel nearly as hard next time 🤞😂
that's pretty tame, :)
Haha I’m sure we’ll get much worse down the road. I did get a bit dramatic in my title lol. It’s was just a big learning curve as a new host :) I’ll love the day when things like clogged toilets don’t phase us
Hey Amy, do you have the link to your property on Airbnb? I didn't see it in your video description. Thanks.
Were you guests pretty understanding with the toilet issue? Also if your AC was low in freon does that mean there was a leak? Majority of our AC issues are due to a clogged condensate line or a blown capacitor.
The guests were really understanding, which was super helpful. It did turn out that we had a small leak in our air conditioner. I filmed this video back in May (took me awhile to edit) Since then we kept getting low on refrigerant due to the leak so we had to get a new air conditioner. At least the problem is fixed 😀
Universe was not testing you. Your cleaning team was.
So true! It all worked out in the end and we learned from it so I guess that’s the good news 😀
Hi Amy, how is your house booking going? is it still good? are you still happy with the outcome as far as return on investment goes?
Thank you so much for checking in! Things are going well but there’s always more to learn. I have a 6 month update video coming out soon 😀
