I do own this cd6007 & the matching Marantz amplifier. I own many flac music albums & find the usb very useful but you can only add one usb at a time as its not possible to add a 4 way extender usb until I found a way by buying a 4 way usb extension with Individual switches means I can add around 600 flac albums without unplugging all the time to put in another usb. I have put a video on RUclips explaining how to. But you have shown me the inside where the usb connection is so I may add another usb slot and re-route it round the back so it looks tidier. Great video.

Hi, Denon took over Marantz a while ago, so the quality must be good. Whether THIS model is under aquisition of Denon i dare not to say. By the way, what is the difference between the 6007 and the 6006 ?. Thanks !!! Glenn
I bought a cd 6007 on february in AMAZON UK, yesterday I opened up in order to clean it with some air to remove dust, and I discovered that hte dac chip inside it is not an AK 4490 it is an ESS ES9010 K2M, I feel so ripped off, no one from Marantz answer my emails, I couldn´t found a comunication from Marantz informing this chip change, this is not a way to conduct business based on lies, the whole point on gettting this unit was the AK4490 chip, SHAME ON YOU Marantz
How does it compare to Cambridge Audio AXC35 ? Regardless of the extras (headphone output, usb) does it sound better or not ? Does the difference justifies the price jump on the marantz?

Bought a like new CD6006 to connect to my new PM6007 integrated amplifier. Don't listen to CDs that much and saved money on this like new unit.

I wonder how it would compare to the older 5003. I have that model, and it still works great. Wondering if the 6007 would sound better.
It has to sound better otherwise they wouldn't bother replacing it ,plus it will have usb connection whereas the 5003 has not.

I will never buy any Marantz product ever again, my CD6006 stopped working after 2 years!!!
