"Will o' the Mill" by Robert Louis Stevenson tells the story of Will, a miller who lives a contented, though unadventurous, life by a mountain pass. From a young age, Will is curious about the world beyond his mill, but as he grows older, he chooses to stay put, finding comfort in the familiar. He falls in love with a traveler's daughter, but his lack of ambition leads her to marry another, leaving Will to reflect on the path he chose.
