112 vs 141 feet ball height is a huge factor. Loft up the Ai a degree and it's gonna be close. Actual loft per head would be nice to see. With the tolerances in heads, the Ai could be a 8.5° and the Elyte could be 9.5° actual loft but both stamped 9°. Not saying the Elyte isn't going to be better-especially dispersion, but still too many variables head vs Head.
Great review. First vid I've seen with an actual comparison to shots with an Ai Smoke driver! Nice work. I game the Ai Smoke TD Max and the combination of great distance, modest spin and forgiveness is hard to beat for me. The price really is just getting silly with each new release.
The smoke triple diamond is the most forgiving low spin driver I have ever hit. I know the smoke wasn’t the fastest driver ever but it puts a hit on the ball. I think I’ll keep my smoke for a while
There is no gain. Look at his spin number, and ball height for new club at his swing speed, the numbers are much better. Callaway marketing BS again. At 100mph swing speed no one will gain 1.3 mph. More like maybe .1 mph. All marketing farce. It's impossible to gain more distance, USGA has set the limits. Don't be fooled by these numbers. Any good club fitter can get you more height and reduce spin with most clubs these days. So yes get fitted, but don't be fooled that newer models will gain you any real distance.
If you think the numbers are much improved then check out his comparison of the the ai smoke v titleist v Taylor made from a months ago and it’ll make you think it’s all bullshit. In that test the ai smoke got 334 carry with 356 total, 197 ball speed, 2625 spin and 123 height.
Firstly, take a look at the thumbnail for this video where you show the Elyte triple diamond driver on the left, and on the right you are showing the Ai Smoke MAX Triple Diamond! This is NOT the regular long bombing Triple Diamond model. This is basically a MAX version with a few TD features, but it is not as long as the true triple diamond. So this is a totally bogus comparison. The triple diamond max is at least 8 to 10 yards shorter than the genuine triple diamond. A lot of people would not catch onto this by looking at the thumbnail, I noticed it immediately because I played the triple diamond max.so no wonder the driver would be a few yards longer. The new driver always has to look like the winner and they find a way to configure so the results are fake. What a joke.
I spotted this instantly, I play the AI Smoke Triple Diamond….. and as you stated, the Max Triple Diamond is a larger head (aka slower swing speed) that produces a bit more spin. They’ll say anything to make you buy the new equipment.
morning bud great clubbed speed, looked at performance review last year of ai smoke and the numbers were significantly better than this year's results against the Elyte. the gains really are marginal 0.1 mph club 0.3mph ball, 3 yards carry, 4.3 y total. yes definitely gains but IMHO negligible. Thanks for comparisons.🎉
Glad you enjoyed it. Those marginal gains make the difference in performance especially downrange and if you haven't upgraded your driver in the last 3-5 years, you'll see big gains in the new designs.
Did you hit the ai smoke TD first in this same session? Just curious how much of the club speed is improved aerodynamics versus just being warmed up and loose. For every mph of club head speed we should see about 1.5 in ball speed (smash factor). Swinging 2 mph faster with the elyte TD but only 2 mph faster ball speed tells me the face or launch isn’t as efficient. We need to see delivery and impact location numbers to tell the whole story. I’m not saying the elyte TD isn’t an improvement, but this data doesn’t convince me it’s longer and straighter as much as you swing faster and more up on it than with the AI smoke. That 30 feet lower peak height with the AI smoke potentially is a clue supporting this in lack of delivery numbers. When someone shows me a higher smash factor across the face and/or noticeable tighter dispersion in a large consistent sample size then I’ll be convinced.
Okey, now the question is, if you have the AI smoke, should you sell it and buy the Elyte? It feels like all the drivers from all the different brands is kinda the same?
If the performance isn't compromised then keep it using it. Is the new Elyte driver better, yes, but it has those marginal gains. It is longer and straighter but I'm not saying that the Ai Smoke is a bad driver at all, it's brilliant. However the small refinements and changes do make the new Elyte straighter and longer with the updated face and aerodynamics.
I am a 60 year old golfer and my average drive goes 750 yards. Calloway never lies, they’ve been adding 10 yards a year with every new driver they develop! If you believe that then you believe this driver is any better than the one they sold you last year for 600 dollars.
They are better every year but it's marginal gains and new materials. If you haven't bought a driver for the last 3-5 years then you'll see the benefits of the new and improved designs. 750 yards is very impressive though.
@ they aren’t better every year. I play a Rogue and test it all the time vs newer drivers. Some drivers actually get worse. They simply don’t have the ability to add yardage or forgiveness every year. They just rebrand every year.
Interesting that the ai smoke td numbers from your last year review are all marginally higher than what you are showing here. You are swinging 2 mph slower than last year and carrying 15 yards less as well. Are we sure this driver is actually better 😂 looks a bit like massaging the numbers
I appreciate the video and entertaining content. Sorry most posters here are not smart enough to just move along without saying something silly just because they don't swing as fast. The internet is a wild place these days.
another channel does a true unbiassed review of the two triple diamonds and the AI smoke is actually 1 yard longer total distance. That’s with the clubs matched up identically with same shafts and lofts. Nine balls hit with each club alternating three shots with one and three shots with another so a warm-up factor is not to blame.also another channel has a very similar result with no difference virtually between the two, with slightly less than a yard difference in favour of the AI smoke. Not worth spending the money. It’s just a new paint job.
Every year it’s yes they have made a better club No they haven’t it’s basically the same thing buy the original paradyn for 200$ and you’ll be more than happy I’ll bet my life on it
It may not be as aesthetically appealing to other Callaway drivers but the performance is what stands out more in my opinion. But there are some really great-looking drivers coming out this year.
Use a robot for testing/comparison,this type of comparison is totally outdated and bogus, your opinion is worth nothing,we are all getting smarter nowadays,we know our numbers now, and yours don't add up, you are being paid to con innocent people, you should be ashamed, but I guess you're not, otherwise you wouldn't have put this video out,🚩❌😡🚭🤔🤔
Here we go! 8 more yards again this year. After the last 15 years of claiming longer drives... we should all be hitting it 400 yds. yards.
128 club head speed isn't something an average golfer is ever going to achieve, I'd like to see comparisons in the 95 to 105 range.
Check out Rick Shiels, he swings real slow like 108.
Speak for yourself. Some of us have those same CH and BS

That's exactly why I'll probably be playing my TD Max for a long time. It's the best combination of everything in one driver I've had since 2016 M2.
Yes. Loving my ai smoke triple diamond max ! I do wonder if that line will continue w the elyte
The smoke triple diamond is the most forgiving low spin driver I have ever hit. I know the smoke wasn’t the fastest driver ever but it puts a hit on the ball. I think I’ll keep my smoke for a while
The Ai Smoke is a great driver, I loved mine.
Found this video after seeing Rick's, subscribed. Looking forward to seeing more videos from your channel 😎
The distance gains with the new TD is impressive
It's very good, especially for golfers with faster swing speeds.
@ How does it compare to the GT3. Unfortunately my swing speed is not as fast as yours

It's just the wrong image. We did do a straight head to head with both TD models.

And I clicked on the wrong video by accident too. I was looking for a review on the Kirkland Elyte TSR Cadiegear driver for 2027.

I only hit the Paradym left right. So smoke same setup wanted to spin left. I don’t want to see it go two directions.

Why didn't you use the TD Max like was pictured in the thumbnail? That's a whole different driver than the ai smoke and triple diamond
Please show the data more appropriate to the majority of club golfers, especially for us seniors with a slower swing speed.
Some of you guys take yourselves WAY too seriously...........
Weekend warriors 😂
I like the looks of the top of the ai smoke and the bottom and tail and bottom of the paradym
This driver looks like its straight out a beginner's package set 😂

New technologies and design do wonders.
